The times are rapidly changing
I guess it also depends on our lenses
The ability to perceive beyond our senses
To see into that which is not visibly seen

In this era where computer is the emerging king
Who not only drives our car but also our economy
I panic at the thoughts of its rulership
I'm often bothered about its dominion and authority

I hope our brains won't go into dormancy
While we sit and watch it control our entirety
Hopefully, we will be able to ****** the steering
Be the driver and not the driven

I pray it has the right cabinet
Those that will direct its power for our betterment
And not to our detriment
The thought of its future is quite worrisome!

Once upon a time
A Lion became a Lamb
For the purpose of remission
An obedient and willful decision

For man's sake, He was crowned with thorns
He took off all human's shackles and bonds
He abolished death
And gave birth to the new birth

He fully paid the price of all human's sins
He became poor that human might be rich
He was broken that human might be whole
Restored human's position as God's daughters and sons

The Lamb fulfilled His mission,
Returned to His home
Also human's home
A story of Salvation!

Life is like a maze
Lots of turns,
Blockages
But there is always a way

Sometimes, one has to go back
And follow another track
Ensure to pick all the gems on the way
Including those along the blocked path

Picture the heart as a tree
With its fruits proceeding out of the mouth
It's root deep into your being
Nourished by the information you take in

You can predict the nature of a tree
By its fruits
When consumed, do they soothe?
Or is it the direct opposite?

Every morning,
I make me a cup of smoothie
It helps me get through the day
Regardless of what people do to me or say

My ingredients, I want to share
2 cups of love
2 cups of faith
1 and 1/2 cups of empathy
1 and 1/2 cups of confidence
2 cups of optimism
1 cup of dignity
1 cup of tolerance
2 cups of wisdom

Yummy, it tastes so good!

This blame game is no fun
Instead of putting an end to it,
We take turns
Our precious flower getting replaced by thorns
Well, the same sun that tans also burns
I suggest we drop attitudes that break bonds
I will start first
I take the blame 'cause it is you that I want!

What could be worse
Than pretending to be changed on the outside
When nothing has really changed on the inside?
WAIT
Maybe it would be way worse
When everyone finds out it's all been pretence!

It's the start of a new year
Time to embrace a new direction
A new way of viewing things
A brighter and more positive perspective

First is to let go of the past
Because the land to be occupied ahead is vast
Time to consciously make decisions
And prevent weeds from your garden

It's not time to wait for people's approval or disapproval
Time to choose the seeds to plant and cultivate
The season to self-motivate
To use positive energy to irrigate

Love is an energy that we must propagate
A required force for us to elevate
When things appear blurry
Spend more time to meditate
Look within and recalibrate

The year has made the slate clean again
Like a tabula rasa
Now, It's all in your hands
If you want to import previous data (the good or bad)
Or if you really want to start afresh!

Be not scared of evil
Rather, be respectful of good
Because darkness checks out
When light appears
Pure love casts out all fears
Give out exactly that which you desire
With love and unity,
We will all rise higher and higher!

Had some quiet time to myself
To reminisce about the events of the year
Here is a summary
Challenges surfaced but grace prevailed
Doubts appeared but faith conquered
Trouble showed but peace overshadowed
Evil threatened but light reigned supreme
A lot of hurdles crossed
A lot of lessons learnt
Blessings felt and experienced
Indeed, it was a great year
The memories brought me to tears
Tears of joy and gratitude
Ready for the new year
With it's blessings of great magnitude

Swimming can be quite relaxing
But not when you're drowning
It's easier to be seen on the water, floating
But it's harder when you're in the water, struggling!

Lonely days or nights
Times when the mind is a battlefield
Bad or negative thoughts with their spears
Good thoughts with their shields

The mind flooded with tons of ideas
Some re-awakenening or aggravating your fears
Trying to trap you like a snare
Evoking emotions too hard to bear

Some ideas paint a beautiful picture to stare
Provide a clear direction to steer
Bring out the good in you to share
And ultimately give you a good cheer!

I'm thankful for my birth
'cause there are people born into violence
Making it hard to navigate another route
They didn't choose it like I didn't choose mine
They were born into it and grew up in it
Grateful for my unchosen inception.

A good makeup can make one look gorgeous and attractive

But no makeup can cover attitudinal blemishes

True beauty is revealed from inside out!

To those that were resourceful,

I've got a lot on my mind that I want to achieve
I've got nieces and cousins that are looking up to me
I've got folks asking me for money
They think I'm in a country with the money-growing trees
But they aren't aware of the stinging bees
Or the super long queues that leads to the trees if they actually exist

It's not as easy as many picture it to be
As I'm also trying to make a mark (in this life)
I've got targets that I'm trying to reach
Still stretching, I've considered using stilts

I've got to keep pushing for my goals
I've got to keep pulling folks that are below
Definitely, I see a brighter tomorrow
Yes, we'll all make it to our promise land
If we don't give up at the times we feel low.

Sometimes, I find my quiet spot within the crowd
'cause when I'm by myself, the silence is too loud
Voices in my head like a shattering glass wall
Usually hard to choose whose side to be on

When good and bad thoughts are engaged in a war
A war on who is going to have my attention
Each voice yelling, trying to pull me in like suction
Each wanting me to pledge my allegiance

I can't deny the build up of tension
On every nerve, muscle and vein
I'm well aware that one feels good for a moment
But the end of it is vain

Denying those bad voices feels like a pain
Especially when I think about the immediate gain
Multiple drivers trying to drive the same car at the same time
A situation I call, tug of war of the mind

This morning, I uninstalled (BBM) BlackBerry Messenger
And to me, that was an eye-opener
I remember few years back,
It was the most sought-after

(At least, in the country I was at the time)
You were highly regarded if you carried a BlackBerry phone,
Even if it wasn't your own
At most, every 10 minutes you would hear the PING tone

The news carried guys who committed all sorts of crime to buy a BlackBerry phone
I heard of girls who sold their bodies for the same thing
I'm sure, when they look back at those days
They won't be proud of what once made them "fly"

The lessons for me are...
Things don't last forever
Whatever it is you can't reach legitimately,
Let it go and let it come organically

Do all you can while you can
Because time and season changes
When the season is favourable for you,
Do not step on toes and
Do not burn bridges, it could transport some help at a later time!

From the throne
To the womb
He was the Word
Clothed in flesh
A blessing to this world

Unto us, a King was born
That we all might be born anew

To re-unite us to Him
That we also might be sons and daughters of Him

He came as a light
To shine in our heart
To set us apart
And give us the incorruptible life

His Spirit intertwined with ours
That's power residing on our inside
Mystery unveiled to our eyes and mind
To know Him as He is

He came to bear all our guilts and sins
To hang them all on the cross
And in return, give us the victory, purity
And usher us to life eternity

Yes, We are the reason for the season
All hail our King, Jesus
Who has opened unto us the door
To the Father's kingdom.

I was going to see a friend who lives about 2 hours drive away
I merged on the highway with 2 other cars
To join the hundreds of cars on the road
As I drove...
I saw cars branch off the highway
I saw cars broken down by the roadside
I overtook some cars and
Some other cars overtook me as well
I left some cars behind and they passed me later
I competed with some drivers like we were headed the same place
After all the driving and competition,
I arrived at my destination alone
Does this not sound like life?

If the world doesn't care to call you names
Why are you scared to call yourself names
Call yourself the greatest
Name yourself the best
Address yourself as the happiest
Call yourself smart, wise and intelligent
If you call yourself those names long enough and believe them,
You'll become exactly what you've called yourself!

Often times, reaching outwards is the wrong way to go
When inwards, the answer is known
We often seek people's approval
While giving that still inner voice a dismissal!

A few lessons I have learnt from you
A number of people don't like your coldness

The other day, I was talking to a friend about dining at Montana's
Couple hours later, every website I visited advertised Montana's
Just to have it glued to my mind and then
Generate some money off me

Well, you know all the things that I crave
Go ahead and put them all in my face
You have my credit card information
Just go ahead and make the purchase

Maybe that's why Google Home and the likes are quite cheap
Because our personal information is the real cost
They are definitely after their own cause
Makes me wonder if we are just guinea pigs for their experiments?

My mental state, I had to recalibrate
Now, It is boldly tattooed...
I was born to be great

The thoughts of being under,
I had to push under
I figured how to deal with my fears
I use it by burning it as a fuel

Sometimes, I have these worries
That are somewhat hard to burry
But I remind myself of the future's glory
And how all of these will someday be a story

I'm in no competition with nobody
I'm running my own race
Going at my own pace
And in my own lane

Challenges will sure come
And in different forms
From mild to severe storms
They aren't for me to suffer
But to ride on like a surfer

I will have to reach high for my goals
Go above it like a pole vault
In me, resides the courage to achieve my desires
And the enthusiasm to fulfil my dreams

Above all, Love is the master key
It opens the door to eternal peace
The major ingredient for a life of ease
