A bit tired
Casting for inspiration
Soul in there
Soulful
Sad
Separate
From everyone
Trying hard to say something
Acceptable

Have you ever thought
that a poet's pen
performs
"open heart "surgery
every time
it writes?

I am not talented
And I refuse to believe that
I am
I realize this might be a shock, but
Talented,
Is a lie
I am not good enough
In 30 years, I will tell my children that
I have my priorities straight because
Perfect
Is more important than
Trying
I tell you this:
Once upon a time
I tried my best
But this will not be true in my era
Perfect is right
Experts tell me
Perfect is better than trying
I do not conclude that
Trying is more important
In the future,
I will be better than no one
No longer can it be said that
I have talent
It will be evident that
I will never be correct
It is foolish to presume that
I am talented
And all of this will come true unless we reverse it
After reading it top to bottom, read from the bottom line by line.
One petal left—
But the rose doesn’t cry.
On petal left—
Yet the rose still try’s.
One petal left—
But color still radiates.
Hope is what powers,
The rose,
No matter the fate.
One breath,
At a time.
One memory,
At a time.
One word,
At a time.
That all I need—
To keep going.
I just need to try,
For one at a time.
Till I can love myself,
Not leaving myself behind.
The sun bleeds through
The vein-filled leaves.
The wind picks up—
A soft-loving breeze.

The wind knows
And brushes my hair away,

So I can gaze
At the soft
Flowers in the deep,
Crevassed valley

On this bright summer day.

She’s Winter's diamond,
A snow-caged soul,
Like January’s snowdrop,
Comes weeping low
Her tears of frost
Ignite the road
A saintly ghost
With a touch so cold
A frostbitten angel,
Numb of pain
A bloodless canvas,
Forged in vain
Yet—
As simple as water,
Guised in eminence
Beneath the gale,
A child's innocence
Ignite the ground,
She will fade
Into oceans of ice,
Once a frozen jade
Gaze upon,
You will see
A reflection of her,
A tragedy.
A harsher tone setting my mood :)

Let’s not sleep—
let’s overthink!
Let’s rethink
every awkward blink.

Let’s write a novel
in our head,
then cry about
what we should’ve said.

Sleep is boring.
Peace is fake.
Let’s spiral till
the morning breaks.

I sit there in my room each night
Wondering if this is what life is supposed to feel like

In my room, I cry alone
Just wishing I was ever known

I sit there on my comforting little bed
My safe place, crying till my eyes get red

I have a family, friends and more
But feel like i'm locked in a cage behind my door

I sit there on my bed every night
Just praying for me to feel alright

I put a smile for everyone there
Pushing down this feeling of despair

What’s life is like for others, I wonder every night
Just dreaming, in my bed, trying to feel alright

I sit there in my room each night
Wondering if this is what life is supposed to feel like

we are all made of stars
cast down from the heavens
and turned into
a form we can recognize.

perhaps
we are not all made for a life
on this planet
and should have stayed with the stars.

maybe that is why
some of us look for a way
back to the stars
because we were not made
for this.
