Forgive me soldier, I never knew
How your life was wasted in such
Tragic tears
Your youth by the roadside just slipped away
Your beauty went with you
Your poetry too.

Born to be famous with beautiful
Words
Layed out in notebooks and on
Paper scrolls.
Never married, no children born
But I have your poetry in my drawer.

Love Mary
Won't you stay
Out of harm's way?
With each little cell pointing north
They seem to cloak you in an aura
Dress you in a song
That's celebrating life

Carry the dear thing forward
And take care of your self and kind
And leave maps and symbols behind
To keep on the love wave

Stay out
Of harm's way
Please, unless you're evil
And you're about to **** us all
But that just speaks to the same point anyway
Anyway
Stay safe
And keep out
Of harm's way

.
Gaze ye not
'pon the misfortune
of the Harlequin,
his dead eyes
will see nothing
of your heart.
Pity ye not
the clown 'pon
his misery bed
of Narcissus petals.
Emotion has thieved
its own fortune,
carrying the weight
of bitter experience.
The furnace, long cold.
Never the embers
glow in his soul,
trapped in a world
when life cares not,
nor matters to the afflicted,
who is mocked
by thy Gaze.

Desire
Balanced
On the edge
Of a blade

A well dressed man
*******
An untethered label

A bottle for two
At an uncleared table.

A twist
Of the wrist
To the pouring
Of wine

To dripping lips,
and kissing
between sips.

His hands
to my hips

His tie
To my wrists.

His kiss.
Mind
    swirled
    into a
chaotic
turmoil
twirl

electric
& eclectic
dizzying
Indeed

incessantly
seeking
longing
to reach
the
    abundant
overflowing
stream
of
consciousness

Plight of
the artist
twisted
fate
eternal
chaotic
state

These are the hands that will guide you to greatness,
These are the hands that will stay through the years,
These are the hands that will celebrate good times,
And these are the hands that will wipe away tears.

These are the hands that will love you forever;
When you are weak they will help you feel strong,
And, right now, since these hands are entwined together
These hands are precisely where they belong
Recently I was asked to write and perform a hand-binding wedding ceremony for two of the loveliest people I know while I was dressed as a dragon. It's definitely one of the best things I've ever done, and I doubt I'll ever do anything like it again! This is the poem I wrote for the special moment.
