Do it not for recognition,
but, rather, for the Love of it.
Geometry,
more generally, Mathematics,
is a Scientific way of breaking down and explaining
the beautiful and infinite complexity
of our reality.
Life is far too short, diverse, and beautiful
to dwell on petty ******* drama.
An abrasive reminder.
Who am I talking about or to?
Sometimes it is me. Sometimes it is you.
Sometimes it is both. Sometimes it is neither.
I've been meaning to meditate more,
what better reason that internal disharmony?

I seek not to find,
I simply seek.
I seek not to gain it,
I seek to simply be it.
I seek the One,
whether within
or without.

Progress comes from within;
Understanding comes from within;
Experience comes from all sides;
use it how you will.

Know yourself
before you allow yourself
to damage others;
however, sometimes
it is your wrath
that shows you
who you truly are.

Try not to take it so personally;
Maybe I say this for me
more so than for you,
Try not to take it so personally;
Maybe for some
it is more personally true,
Try not to take it so personally;
Maybe I say this for me
more so than for you:

Try not to take it so personally.

If this Apex is behind you,
move on to the next.
Be thy own
Apex.
:Gipfel" is German for Apex,
intended here to be a pinnacle of attainment.
Symbolic of Emotions, Self-awareness, Self-discipline and deeper understanding.
We oughtta consider bringing back
old-fashioned Gladiator Arena combat
as retribution or as a chance at vindication,
depending on how well one performs,
for those who are most deserving:

Those who seek to spill innocent blood or to oppress the masses,
the most corrupt Politicians, Lawmakers, Enforcers and Judges,
overtly violent supposed "'Protectors", such as Soldiers or Police,
the scheming Bankers, that is to say "the House",
deliberately misleading Authority figures,
whether in news or in the world at large:
all the malicious Religious figures,
power hungry Narcissists,
abusive Demagogues,
subversive Tyrants;

if these people have a place,
it's center stage in a Coliseum with little else aside from one another,
their choice of melee weapon and/or shield, some leather armour, and a roaring crowd.
Let's not forget the HD cameras with hyper-telescopic lenses so we can see their faces live in 1080p!

Maybe even add a few hungry Lionesses from time to time
or perhaps some ill-tempered Sharks..
or, a pack of quite irate Wolves.

Our Imagination is truly the Limit!

We could even run ads in between rounds
and sell foam novelty items
and overpriced water
when it's 115 outside.

Stunning photo of the Roman Coliseum:

Also,
I take a modicum of pride in the fact that I'm the first to upload a thing entitled "Gladiatorial Justice" to Hello Poetry.

Spawned of a few conversations with my Roomates
"It's your life.
Don't let anyone
make you feel guilty
for living your way."
In terms of metaphysical well-being,
do not attempt to find external solutions to internal problems.

Though external solutions may, at best, catalyze opportunities,
they tend to serve as a temporary comfort or distraction
rather than a cure for the nature of the problem at hand;

A "bad mood"
is a great opportunity
to tune your Consciousness.

Life is full of those moments;
the purpose of them
is to learn from them
and grow.

Look outward for information.
Look within for understanding.

Actualize your Godself.
In this back pocket of the Universe I call my Body and Mind
wages a constant struggle for Self.

Aspects of me such as Shadow and Ego
strive for my mental electoral college votes
to preside as a sort of Pope of Cognition,
but they can only win
if I don't fight them;

if you can best your Shadow aspects and Ego beasts,
they will respect you,
and when your Shadow and Ego respect you,
You metamorphosize into Yougod;
people will sing your praise
and you will want them to stop
for they are the same thing in potentia
and they only distract themselves with their reverence
instead of actualizing their own potential
and becoming Godselves, themselves.
Little peeves me more
than seeing someone
who reminds me of me
doing something
unlike I would.

Then again,
little inspires me more
than things unlike me.
I often find
I function best
when I'm alone.

Go figure
that I can be
such a romantic.
Here's what my phone suggests:

Ultimately,
we should kick off the holiday season with a bit of it and we figured out how my appreciation for the night was a complication,
but I was just asking for the day I've never seen anything about the it,
yet it was in my head while you're here. nonetheless,
she said she would like what you offer to get some more info about this point in time
and she seems to have a strange way with my dog
moreover, I don't think I can do it there anymore,
unless you can come by or I would be a good time!
each line break was a word i typed to restart the mayhem.
I hope you enjoy the strange Russian roulette of a concept this turned out to be
I'd say
'I'm going crazy'
if I did not know
my intended heading
and what little deviation
has truly been allotted, so,
let's agree to call it
'going crazily'
instead, okay?

Okay.

Now,
be on your way
and I'll do the very same.
We'll see one another
when we're each ready to arrive
where we all once knew
we need to be.

See you there, again
there and then,
but I'd hope even sooner.

Blessings upon thy Path.
See you in the Light.
It's one of those nights, y'know?
..so raw and empowering..

"Gold for friends,
and Iron for enemies."

Roman saying
"If you're caught on a golf course during a thunderstorm
and you're afraid of lightning, hold up a 1-iron.
Not even God can hit a 1-iron."
-Lee Trevino
What if Evil exits
as an antithesis of what Good can be
so as to show by counter-example how awful it is
when the Good is under-appreciated
and thus serves as a sort-of self aware hypocritical advertisement
for the antithesis of the antithesis,
which is, simply, to be Good?
Not that it justifies it, but it is an interesting thought.
There is much Music that is good
but not so interesting;
just as there is much Music that is interesting
but not so good.

To find Music that is both good and interesting;
that is to say Music with which you harmonize intellectually as well as intuitively,
is highly unlikely.

The chances are against you.

So, cherish it when you find it.

It is all too rare;
That is why I seek to make my own
Same is true of all expression.
Taste varies.

Also; pun intended, what with 'harmonize' and such.
One account for all of Google;
at your fingertips
at your doorstep.
If gossip be as a hobby,
maybe that noxious scrutiny
oughtta be turned inwards:
the toxicity of talking ****
(however insidious and infectious)
shall taint your humility and soil your words:

Tread carefully;
such paths be steep:
what One opts to sew
One inexorably reaps.
"A twelve minute mile
is just as far
as a six minute mile."
Simply try to do better than you did before.
I believe
one can state
one's own perspective
or inform someone
without doing so
condescendingly
3,3,5,5,5,5
Grace and humility are becoming lost arts
"Thank you
for granting me
this opportunity
to face these aspects
of myself
i'd much rather
sweep under the carpet."
Make thyself important,
though not by mere words;
for they who claim importance
are fatally mistaken all too often.

Make thyself important
and none shall turn from thee for long,
for thy merit and consummation
shall be thy calling card:

-
Be good at what you do.
Do what you love.
Love what nurtures thy soul.
Inspire others to do the same.

These are but four of the tenets by which I try to live.

If they are shown to be obsolete,
they shall be revised,
but, until such a time,
they seem to be wise.
The Universe loves good chances to knock a head or two out of the clouds.
It feels like some cruel Gravity
the way the past is haunting me;
I learn from it but yet it burns.

Though the burns heal,
the memories, sweet and bitter alike,
are salt to the wounds.
Grief
is so often
a harbinger
of repair
if only t'would be welcomed as such!

Aye,
t'is but a matter
of sheer Courage:
of Willpower;
to consciously transmute Grief as such!
"Growing Up"
is a Euphemism
for gaining the capacity
for more Responsibility.

It can be said
that by this definition;
very few seem to grow up.

They tell us
that to "grow up"
means to **** up to the Man (in essence)
and to learn to pay the Man's dues;
far too many grow up
by this definition.

Please;
attain an edified perspective
enough to be trusted
with your own free will,
That is to say;
"grow up"
"I am flawed, therefore you must change."
Why do so many use this as a basis for judgement?

"Ich bin fehlerhaft, daher musst du dich ändern."
Warum nutzen so viele dies als eine Grundlage zum urteilen?
"Basis for Judgement"
"The guilty conscience shall know no peace."
If anyone would be interested to watch me explain some stuff about the way harmonics work as applied to the guitar, check this out:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZJmAw0ITeuc

I get down and nerdy about some basic physics and music theory as they pertain to the guitar, strings, and harmonics. Perhaps some of you may dig it!
It's the very same as anything else!
If you want to get into playing Music,
Find what you cannot stop listening to
because it makes you feel alive
and captivates your soul,
then emulate that.
Deconstruct that.
Reconstruct that.
Abstract from it a little.
Abstract from that yet further.
Learn to talk about what makes it sound that way.
Then, let's talk about what you like to play and why.
It has to begin within.
You must treat it like a plant if you want it to blossom.
If you want to do it, you won't be able to stop yourself.
You've gotta let it flow through you.
It's got to originate within you.

Practice is time invested.
Invest it wisely.
I've been telling some people something like this who've recently asked about how I went about getting into playing guitar as much as I do, and motivating myself to practice.
I respond that the initiative is there if passion is, so you've gotta feel it. You've gotta want it.
You've gotta let it come from within.
Sitting packed in the back
of a semi-decrepit white Subaru
belonging to the Swedish Harpist
driven by the Romanian Drummer
with a literal car-full
of perfectly tetrised musical instruments,
including:

Four cymbals, two toms, a hi-hat, and a stool,
a Celtic double-Harp,
an electric Piano,
and two guitars
(an acoustic-electric twelve-string and an electric six-string)
with a few days' clothing
and, not knowing where we're sleeping, a sleeping bag,
all the while
devouring Matza and pumpkin seeds
(that we bought at Trader Joe's)
as we barrel moderately safely
down various back roads and Highways
in this car weighted as a truck and driven as a motorcycle
towards enigmatic San Francisco
to play a couple shows,
two days in a row:

one, at a literally underground Theatre
(in which improv comedy is, apparently, king of kings)
smack-dab 'pon the border of Union Square,
and another, for a private birthday party
typified by oh so many avid Burners.

Surely, our Psychedelic Jazz Funk-Rock
will find some empathic ears!

Y'know, last summer,
when I said I wanted
to be in a Gypsy Band,
I sure didn't see this coming:
this is pretty ******* Gypsy,
in my observational opinion.

Well,
here I am,
and I even asked for it.

For us three,
this will certainly be
an interesting few days,
down in the Bay,
on our way to play
wherever it is we may,
and all I can say
is: "Okay,
this is the stuff
books are made of,"
and, "Well,
time to live
one hell of a story!"
And it was so;
life is best lived
and so often is wasted
on the living.
I'm so glad I set aside the time to type this up.
I uploaded this when I got home,
but the notion was conceived of in said circumstance.
Revisions may yet occur, but I feel most of them are over.

Both shows were great.
We were very well received.
We made $50 in tips in the first hour we played the Theatre:
three cheers for drunk old ladies!
Wow, that sounds incriminating.
Oh well.
I even made a few friends along the way!

Discussed on the trip were such topics as:
Philosophy, Taoism, Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism, Christianity, Carl Jung, paganism, shamanism, botany, intoxication, Terrance McKenna, sobriety, authority, subversion, art, technology, music,  musicology, anthropology, ethnomusicology, acoustics, physics, calculus, geometry, numerology, symbology, language, etymology, linguistics, magic, the Occult, Tarot, I Ching, psychology, mythology, geology, astrology, astronomy, ethics, economics, death, life, love, lust, enlightenment, transcendence, bliss, hope, fear, pain, illusion, religion, politics, acting,  and how glorious Western culture is.

Interesting people,
to say the least.
Don't be afraid to die a little,
for the parts of you who die
fertilize the parts of you
who yet grow.
-
Habt nicht Angst vor 'nen bisschen Sterben,
für die Teile von dir wer sterben
nähren die Teile von dir
wer noch wachsen.
One's greatest limits
seem too often to be those
brooding in One's mind
It's too ******* hot.
One Hundred and Four Degrees;
**** that ****, I say.
Embrace thy Shadow,
for it is you when you
fail to be yourself.
Halloween without candy is like Capitalism if you're broke.
Halloween is the one day a year all the people with stigmas against Cosplay drop it and Cosplay also.

Funny how stigmas are dropped if there happens to be an established cultural holiday.
Can you say "subconscious cultural double standards"?
".. I don't know.

I suppose gratitude
in a certain balance
readily lends itself, on many levels,
to happiness."
Happiness
is being true to thyself
and having the courage
to mantain thy integrity
in the face of adversity.

Though thy path
may well be tumultuous,
t'is thy Path, and no other's,
and nary another
shall be able
to keep thee from thyself
if only thou wouldst
remain at thy reigns,
then within thyself,
thou shallt e'er reign.

Therein lies the quest of Happiness.
One owes it to One's Godself to be just that.
If you are happy,
you're in no position to judge those who are not.
Likewise,
if you are not happy,
who are you to judge those who are?
The happiest of people
don't have the best of everything;
they make the best of everything.
Your Happiness is your own responsibility.
Ephemeral "now",
respecting mortality;
I'm feeling deathly.
Haiku for this Day;
Pagan writ "Christian" quite bold;
Sacred nonetheless.
Am I the only one who finds it deeply ironic in an almost sickening way
that, here in the United States, Armistice Day became Veterans Day?
Not saying that homage is bad to pay,
but I simply wish to say
Armistice; that is to say
the diplomatic end of War,
should preclude future Veterans.
Maybe I'm too idealistic.
Maybe I'm not idealistic enough.
In either case;
the Military is a Tool.
I mean no disrespect;
I simply mean to reflect
upon what it is  I see and feel.
Still, I wish humbly to convey
happy pseudo-Armistice day!
Instead of celebrating the coming of Peace,
we'd rather glorify our instruments of War.
Warriors, many of whom were duped
or had no other viable options
then to auction themselves off
to the most grandiose corporate police force on Earth;
the United States Military.
7 deaths and 98 injuries later,
I ask us all to enjoy
Buy-Nothing Day.

Looking up at the full Moon
the closest it comes this year
out on my deck after work
through my childhood telescope.

A full Moon through a telescope is really something to behold;
Especially when the Moon appears
up to 14% larger and 30% brighter
than it does on the dimmest of full Moons.
-
T'ai Chi basking in the Moonbath;
The Sky dimly fluoresces in chilled Air
as Landscape glows with moonlit Auras;
This is truly a magical near-annual moment.
(Supermoons happen about every 14 full Moons)

I thank you; Moon and Night.
I thank you; Khonsu and Nephthys.
I thank you; Selene and  Nyx.
I thank you; Luna and Nox

Happy Supermoon 2013.
Khonsu and Nephthys are the Egyptian god of the Moon and goddess Night, respectively.
Selene and Nyx are the Greek equivalent goddesses.
Luna and Nox are the Roman equivalent goddessess.

One must cultivate
the vessel of one's self
before the full beauty of our existence
will make itself at home there.
Something about being 151 miles from home
walking around barefoot all day
in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco, California
wearing a vest and some black cotton pants,
drinking good Cabernet and lots of water,
eating homemade pasta salad and chicken sandwiches,
in the early-Autumn Summer-esque temperatures,
the third day of the 2013 Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival,
witnessing Gogol Bordello and The Devil Makes Three,
with my great Friends, and also Roomates, Abdul and his Wife,
and their friend and her 20 month old Son
makes me feel sort of ... *****.

Funny how that works;
Unprotected feet on very Public grounds
Unprotected feet on verily treded grounds;
Going barefoot is nice, though.

(Except the ******* sidewalks, incidentally.
Even the streets are nicer to walk on barefoot. Even pineneedles!
I am disappointed, San Francisco! I thought you were on the side of the hippies!)

If anything was learned from the Sixties,
it's that unprotected anything
in San Francisco
is easily a hazard.
-
Now, that was a ******* amazing day.
Now; to the shower and then directly the **** to bed!
Away!
The Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival ******* rocked.
We left at 8 am and just got back at about 11:30pm;
I didn't sleep even last night after dishwashing for 7 hours! Wooo!

It was sorta cute:
someone even tried to sell us ****
and we basically had to tell him: "*****, please.
We comin' out Nevada County; that **** grows like Grass in them yonder hills."

I usually advocate barefootedness when I am on psyches, but I am not on psyches and I am doing so. Just to clear up any confusion. This totally could be a thing I would write on acid or the like.

Parenthetical bit is true but the last part is meant to be facetious, but it probably doesn't even matter that I specify. Read it as you will! I cannot change anything but myself, anyway. Have at it!
Seek thee not Change,
for Change is inevitable.

Seek thee, rather,
Harmony with Change.

Aye,
therein lies the rub!
