I am happy that time flies
Cause then I can think of time as the bird
I watch from my balcony
Stopping by here and there
to say hello
Then taking flight
to remind me he doesn't belong to me
I know we can be friends
when I hear him chirp as I sit inside
As if he's telling me to come sit with him
But he is not a tangible creature
and would take flight once again
If I ever tried to reach for him

we do not write poetry
we write mirrors
which are held up
to curious faces
who read
looking for their
own reflections

You are always trying,
I can't leave You I won't deny it,
It is a prison for two,
Now, everything I see is blue,

It is now so crystal clear,
This place for me is always dear,
I can find You, forever here,
I won't look for a better sphere,

So here goes nothing,
My favorite times,
Old gray walls and seacliffs, tides,
Where old men live and young ones die,

I know I can't win but I'll always try.

Where our clothes
Hit the floor
Before our eyes met

I miss the early us
Where we expected
Nothing but
Before the truths surfaced

I miss the early us
Where mornings
We’re lazy
Before days changed us.

I miss the early us
Where dreams existed
In our heads
Before reality set it

I spend too many nights thinking
Wondering, writing, dreaming
Of someone who doesn't even think of me
