I said it out loud
for all the world
to take note

EXCLAIMATION

I spoke it into
existence for me
to act upon

EXCLAIMATION

My dreams and
aspirations of
future endeavors

EXCLAIMATION

My time to shine
on a global stage
w/ no reservations

EXCLAIMATION

Seeking the path
to fulfill a destiny
sought from the past

EXCLAIMATION

Seeking not to malign
my future with ill will
I grow in spiritual faith

EXCLAIMATION

Weeping for humanity
my heart is heavy, yet
hopeful for redemption

BABY!
You're a blessing.
You don't need to think so,
you just need to know,
I do.

I do not need to talk, I have a phone
Facetime is for screens, not for real people
I'm busy texting so leave me alone
This is how we think, why? It is so dull

Violence and anger - innocence is rare
The only outdoor activity is crime
Forests, moors and rivers but who would care?
When computers and tech is in its prime

Virtual cities known better than real
Slang known better than actual English
A debt of childhood from which we can't heal
This cannot continue, so pray and wish

That perhaps comes a day when laughs return
Joy, running, chasing and exclaimation
Only then will we take heed and will learn
The things that lack in our generation
One of my first attempts at poetry, I take pity in modern society
there was no fanfare,
no procession, no proclamation,
as i hit the button, no exclaimation
as i changed my life. as if no one
noticed, and if i am right, they
probably didn’t.

didn’t see as i drove the valley,
didn’t protest, or speak in tongues,
did not see the little things.

we bought winter food.

there was no fanfare,
no procession, no proclamation,
as we hit the button, no exclaimation

with the change as if no one
noticed, and if i am right, they
probably didn’t until later

didn’t see as we drove the valley,
didn’t protest, or speak in tongues,
did not see the little things

we bought winter food

it came late early

we are in transition

drew the curtians last eve

while waiting and through the *****

left saw one golden tree

autumn cameo

each little thing

while some things break
