But instead He gave me pain

      Which no one else could see.

Now I am sad but holy,

      I am lost but I am free.

Now I can feel fully

       The coram deo down in me.

If I drown myself in drink and yet remain thirsty, I haven’t drunk from your cup.
If I devour endless food and yet remain hungry, I have not eaten from your bread.
If I gaze across the universe and yet see no beauty, I have not gazed upon You.
And if I seek to be full and yet remain empty, I have not known You.
