we should thank our mum for giving us our birth
carrying us inside then placing us on earth
then she had to raise us be our guiding light
read us bedtime stories so we could sleep at night

she was always there when ever things went wrong
to guide us through the bad times with her love so strong
so we should thank her dearly our best friend and our chum
thank her for just being there.  thank her for being mum.

when ever i get lonely i search my memory
i look back in time how it used to be
times i loved the best when i was just a kid
all the friends i knew different things  we did

makes me smile again gives my heart aglow
thinking of the things that i used to know
now those times have gone there just a memory
there still in my mind and will always be

mama sang a song of a bluebird sky
when it was time for bed sang her lullaby
she would sing it to me till my eyes began close
then to her lullaby i would gently doze

had the voice of angel as gentle as can be
wrote the song herself especially for me
all about the bluebirds in the bluebird sky
that made me fall asleep when she sang her lullaby

now all grow up with children of my own
i sing them a bedtime song that ive always known
mamas  bluebird song of a bluebird sky
the one she wrote to me her bedtime lullaby

i wont forget my daddy on the day he died
daddy was a miner he got trapped inside
mine began to crumble he couldnt get away
i just cried and cried when he died that day

he was everything that a dad should be
gave us all his all love to my ma and me
working in a mine to support his family
best dad in the world there could ever be

i will make him proud do the best i can
now all grown  up ive become a man
give my love to mama like daddy used to do
do the best i can now theres just us two

daddy was a miner spent life in a hole
working in the dark digging out the coal
did the best he could supporting ma and me
i was just a kid at the age of three

as the years went bye  his health it took its toll
breathing in the dust  while he was digging coal
daddy carried on till his last breath it had gone
i took daddies place so we could carry on

i became a miner  didnt have much choice
daddy is still there i can hear his voice
watching over me right there by my side
now my angel daddy will always be my guide

i love the german shepard a lovely dog is he
they are very loyal as faithful as can be
they give you there friendship that is real and true
anytime at all always there for you

when ever you are down they will always know
they will comfort you down by your side will go
keep you company take away the blue
and the smile you had will come back to you

such a lovely dog with elegance and grace
with a lovely coat and there lovely face
always there for you to give you love each day
a friendship for a lifetime that is there to stay

time it waits for no man neither does the tide
comes in very slowly then away again will ride
to another shore a different time once more
it never waits to long to find another shore

these are things of nature way it has to be
nature has the power over time and sea
it controls the planet as it revolves away
changing time around.  and tide in every bay.

i remember walking home one night walking past the park
suddenly from nowhere a dog began bark
walked in to the park.  took a look around
then once again.  i heard the  barking sound.

walked a little further to see what i could see
there i saw a dog ******* to a tree
i untied the dog now the dog was free
gave him a cuddle took him home with me



i began to feed him each and every day
gave him a home and a place to stay
gave him lots of love lots of cuddles to
all things he needed that he never knew

i still have the dog to this very day
remember the time when he was just a stray
abandonded in a park ******* to a tree
now he his my best friend goes everwhere with me

theres  friend of mine had a dream one day
to buy lovely cottage where she would like to stay
she worked many hours till the money she could sort
when she had enough my friend the cottage bought

then she got married  her dreams were coming true
now she had a home and a husband to
then tragedy stepped in her husband passed away
to heaven in the sky where the angels stay

she loved it the garden  she would sow some flower seed
and all the different birds she just love to feed
loved to the watch there nestlings hatching in there nest
watching as they grow this she loved the best

the beauty of her garden filled her heart with pride
each and every day she would sit outside
mother natures children to keep her company
never alone no more will she ever be

i love to hear the birds as they begin to sing
weloming the morn in the early spring
mummy feeding nestlings as busy as can be
hi up in the branches of my apple tree

hedgehogs they awake from there winter sleep
when the nightime comes around the garden creep
foraging for food for a tasty treat
nice big juicy worm they just love to eat

butterflies return to fly again once more
all around the garden they will gently soar
showing of there colors giving there display
all these things we see on a spring time day

a broken heart can mend but it will take awhile
heartache it will go bring you back your smile
it will heal once more take away the pain
feelings will return let you love again

make another start with somebody new
and the love you lost will return to you  
all the hurt will go  as your heart begins to mend
you will find a true love that has a happy end

heavens way up high in the sky so blue
if and when i die i will fly to you
with my angel wings i will gently soar
united once again to share our love once more

we can carve our name on an olive tree
once again in love together you and me
and the lonely hell i face everyday
will come to an end at last go away

everyone has feelings it something we all know
we can write them down let our feelings show
say it from the heart express the way you feel
make your feelings true and that they are real

write them all with honesty what you have to say
from deep inside your mind as you write away
then people they will see your feelings they are true
they can read your words from in the heart of you

a dog can be your friend with a love thats true
each and everyday will give its love to you
he will comfort you when you feel despair
when you need a friend he is always there

when your feeling low and you begin to cry

from  the day we are born love is in your heart

theres a cat next door he comes to visit me
same time every day when its time for tea
i think he smells the food that im about to cook
he sits on my sill takes a little look

i fill  a litte bowl fill it with some meat
then he claws the window asking for his treat
he his very clever a lovely chap his he
my little furry friend that lives next door to me

there are sad days there are bad days others in between
days of happiness best theres ever been
day of treasured memories that are dear to you
that you will hold forever  for your whole life through

days are up and down.  you never really know
what it holds for which way will it go
thats they way of life way it has to be
up and down they go for every you and me

an angel came to see me  while i was in my sleep
there inside my dream the angel she did creep
sat upon my bed began to stroke my hair
i felt oh so safe knowing she was there

told me of her heaven high up in the sky
when i get my wings to heaven i would fly
to a place of safety where the angels stay
high up in the sky so very far away

i wont forget the angel that i saw that night
halo round her head  wings  so big and bright
we will meet again when its time to go
meet again the angel that i all ready know

its nice to watch the children as they play away
reminds me of myself in my younger day
things i used to  when just a kid
playing with my friends different things we did

having lots of fun on roundabouts and swings
passing time away doing different things
going to the disco dance the night away
these are things we did in my younger day

now the time as flown just a memory
of the days gone by how it used to be
when i see the children as the play away
it reminds me of me in my younger day

everyone has  love a feeling we all know
its there in your heart gives your heart a glow
something that is shared when two hearts entwine
a very special thing that makes love divine

growing even stronger each and everyday

i love to watch the leaves falling to the ground
the season of the year when autumn comes around
trees that once had leaves now are standing bare
leaves have fallen down scattered every where.

there are lots of colors that make an autumn scene
vibrant as can be yellows reds and green
morning sun shines brightly with its autumn glow
a lovely time of year one that we all know

there are many things that make the world go around
all around the universe lots of things are found
lots of natures wonders every where you  go
all the special things that give the world a glow

the beauty of the moon lighting up the sky
stars like littlle diamonds floating way up high
the rolling of the tide coming home once
gently as can be rolling in to shore

lots and lots of animals roaming wild and free
mother natures children there for you to see
these are all things that make the world go round
all around the universe there wonders to be found

i like to go out walking just my dog and me
the place he loves the best  he loves it by the sea
loves to chase his  ball along the sandy shore
brings it back to me  to throw again once more

tries to chase the birds but he his to slow
birds can see him coming in the air they go
when his games are over he takes a little rest
sits down in the shade at the place he loves the best

i love to go out fishing on a sunny day
sit there on the river bank passing time away
setting up the rods waiting for a bite
hoping for a fish with an appetite

looking all around at the scenery
there in all its beauty there for me to see
there a lots of flowers growing wild and free
butterflies  and birds and the bumble bee

if i catch a fish i will take home with me
make  my favourite meal. fish and chips for tea

theres caterpillars in my garden they just love to munch
eating all my cabbage with a crunch crunch crunch
then on to the cauliflower for another chew
they are everywhere there are quite a few

when they all have finished.  on there eating spree
my veg patch it is empty nothing left for me
maybe next year  i will build a netted cage
stop the caterpillars from there munch munch stage

they will move along find somewhere else to lunch
find another place where they can munch munch munch

poets love to write passing on the day
writing from there mind what ever comes there way
choosing  all there words they would like to use
expressing there poetry with each words they choose

just like all the poets.  from many years ago
wordsworth  keats and burns others we dont know
poets they still write to this very day
composing there poetry each a different way

i love to watch the butterflies in the summer sun
flying all around having so much fun
showing of there  colors very bright and gay
like a painting on a canvas as they fly away

mother natures children showing there display
patterns on there wings that take your breath away
natures work of  art mother natures way
there for all to see  on a lovely summers day

dont you worry you Jess we are there for you
it such a shame what your going through
racism and abuse does no belong in sport
not in any game no matter what the sort

ruining careers with there selfish act
hoping there abuse will give them some impact
if it was  them what would they have to say
would they face abuse or just runaway

it not really fair it has to be this way
racism it goes on every single day
each and every sport causing misery
racism and abuse there should never be

mama always told me when bullies are around
never walk away always stand your ground
never walk away stand a up and be strong
let them know that you  are there where you belong

when they see that  you have turned the other cheek
this will let them know you are strong not weak
they will walk away with a big red face
they have learned there lesson you put them in  there place

i sit in the garden watch the birds all feed
perched upon my feeders eating all the seed
there are many kinds with colors by the score
goldfinch and the blue ***  and a whole lot more

jumping in the bird bath having lots of fun
robin with his red breast gleaming in the sun
i sit there and watch them fill there appetite
showing of there colors vibrant and so bright

i love watch the hedgehog roaming through the night
all around my garden beneath moon so bright
foraging for food for things he likes to eat
a nice big juicy worm these are his perfect treat

they love  slugs and snails they eat beetles to
any kind of insects there are quite a few
i sit there and watch him beneath the stars so bright
foraging for food on a moonlight night

everyday we wake up we face a brand new dawn
listen to birds singing in the morn
all in harmony  singing all in tune
warms the heart in me as they begin to croon

sun is shining brightly sending down it ray
shining all around on such a lovely day
time to face the world a new day here once more
face the day outside and what it has in store

i had a funny dream of land so far away
i was there in africa where the elephants stay
they were every where  roaming wild and free
very very friendly walked right up to me

one of them came over put me on his back
took me for a ride along the forest track
such a lovely creature with elegance and grace
with there great big ears hanging from there face

i wont forget my dream where the elephants all stay
or the land i dreamed of so very far away
hope i can dream again see the elephants once more
have all the fun again just like i did before

theres a robin my garden as tame as tame can be
when i dig my garden he comes to visit me
looking for the worms in the new dug ground
he is very clever knows new worms can be found

even tho i am there he just carries on
walking all around me fear he has none
he  just eats his worms there his favourite treat
his very favourite meal he just loves to eat

fills his appetite then flies in to the sky
i give a little wave as i say good bye
when tomorrow comes he will visit me
he knows there will be worms.  a clever chap is he

i love to watch the badger roaming through the night
roaming all around beneath the moon so bright
looking for  some food that he loves to eat
worms and mice and insects for a tasty treat

such a lovely creature  with a life so free
everytime i see them.  warms the heart in me
roaming through the fields  in the dead of night
foraging for food such a lovely sight

i listened to a bluebird sing a song to me
such lovely song as lovely as can be
on the cliffs of dover way up high above
singing just for me his lovely song of love

with his bright blue feathers that glistened in the sun
as he sang away having so much fun
then he flew away into the sky above
i can still remember the bluebirds song of love

i will return again to the dover shore
listen to the bluebird sing his song once more

theres a secret garden i dream about each night
so very far away hidden out of sight
a garden full of fantasy colorful and bright
such a lovely place that fills me with delight

there are lots of fireflies lighting up the night
fairies with there wands dressed up all in white
lots and lots of butterfies with multi  colored wings
flying all around. oh what joy it brings

showing of there blooms in there flower bed
such a lovely place full of of fantasy
my little secret garden that in my dreams i see

i took a little walk around the local park
when i heard a noise it sounded like a bark
i had a look around  to  see what it could be
there i found a puppy ******* to a tree

he was very thin  been ******* left alone
badly neglected he was skin and bone
i began to cry he was such a mess
shaking like a leaf he was in distress

i untied the dog took him home with me
where would be safe  now at last be free.
i gave some him biscuits mixed up with some meat
put it in a bowl a proper doggie treat

now he had a home and a place to stay
where he would be loved every single day
now he has recovered and has friend in me
i wont forget that day or the friend that i set free

from the day were born a life sentence we are give
you spend all your life learning how to live
how life really works how life goes around
these things are there for you. waiting to be found

you must face the  challenges there in front of you
every twist and turn there are quite a few
many roads to  travel where you must find your way
share the many games that life loves to play

the sentence of life is something that we all face
all around the world each and every place
no matter who we are life will play its game
in the sentence of life we are all the same

sometimes life can be such a cruel place
it will give you days you really just cant face
it can lift you up it can it let you  down
take your smile away change  it to a frown

what each day will bring no one really knows
will it be a good day best you ever had

it dosent have to be that way.  theres places you can go
someone to tell your troubles to speak out let them know

they will help you through in your darker days
help you to believe life has better ways
give you back the hope see life differently
then you can  find yourself and who your meant to be

all it takes is you to turn it all around
believe in you once more  and again be found

rain is here once more sun as gone away
weathers overcast  just a dismal day
gardens will be happy water  there at last
rain  is here once more now the sun has past

plants they need the water so that they can grow
so they can restore.  from the heat wave glow.
it will make it cooler flowers they wont die
they can have there water as the rain falls from the sky

Gill she wouldnt  help with the boys new build
i got a big surprise thought she we would be thrilled
said it was there baby  up to them to do
she will sit and watch just enjoy the view

its not very nice to treat the boys that way
sit there on her *** while the boys just work all day
maybe change her mind take a different view
get up off her *** then she can join in to

theres a place in my dreams that i always see
a lovely little place full of fantasy
theres a great big forest with trees of red and blue
unicorns and fairies and funny creatures to

it is very peacful there as quiet as can be
lots of fun shaped flowers growing wild and free
its a place i love where i would love to stay
a land thats full of fantasy just a dream away

i would be at home in my land of fantasy
place  i always dream of as peaceful as can be
right there in my dreams that i always see
where i would long to stay home sweet home to me
