They cheered to a bright, golden day,
But he felt his soul slip away.
He toasted with glee,
While sinking at sea,
A phantom in social display.

In the dark shadow of the early morning peeping shyly,
A soft little bubble glowing brightly on the bedroom floor,
Whispers of yesterday linger in the silence,
With every breath, I feel you wanting more.

Love's a fragile thread, bound by Fate,
In a cosmic dance that won't hesitate,
Glittering, flickering, sparkling like a brilliant gem,
We’re snuffing out, relighting, fading then shining strong again.

Destiny calls like a Siren's sweet serenade,
Dancing in the corner like a delicate Flower of Light,
Through the cracks in the curtain, shadows start to fade,
Holding on to dreams, we burn through the night.

Love's a fragile thread, bound by Fate,
In a cosmic dance that won't hesitate,
Glittering, flickering, sparkling like a brilliant gem,
We’re snuffing out, relighting, fading then shining strong again.

The blackout curtain imperfectly drawn against the intrusion,
Protecting the world inside from the tiny heaven spark,
Reaching in from a fiery source 1 earth's orbit away,
Love so wild, it ignites the dark.

Love's a fragile thread, bound by Fate,
In a cosmic dance that won't hesitate,
Glittering, flickering, sparkling like a brilliant gem,
We’re snuffing out, relighting, fading then shining strong again.

So let’s dance in the shadows, just me and you,
In this fleeting moment, we’ll break right through,
Love's a fragile thread, bound by Fate,
In this cosmic dance, we won't hesitate.
We’ll keep snuffing out, relighting, shining strong again,
Dancing in the shadows, forever, amen.

a year. 12 months.
almost.

short of the milestone,
something changed.

i tried to ignore, but
still, ending.

yet maybe it didn't.
or maybe

almost a year, 11 months
led to comfort

that i fear i wont find again.

it’s 3:09am on thursday
another romcom novel
lies
in my
lap

racing through it as i read
the same kinds of stories
yes, i know the ending, because

i need the
happy
ever
all-the-things

i guess i am no better
since i am a sucker for all the sap

i zip past the plotted out pain
skim through the lines
and find the ink-to-page artifice of love

it’s not real, yes, but
fills an ache-
(though never truly really fills)

of what you left behind
and how you’ve ruined me
at best

the dopamine
or cathartic thrill
dies down by the very last

but i always pick
back up these books
knowing my HEA is coming

   just
       around
         the
    bend

do i still believe it’s coming?

is happily really
meant for
me?

or is it just for the select few?

i revived this space
and came back
really just to say-

i heard you kissed
another girl
the night before
your wedding day
postscript—
it was not our wedding day

I expected
And that's where I lost
I accepted
And that's where I won

Except I
Everyone got what they expected
Except I
No one accepted me as I am

If you say you love flowers,
I’ll fill this whole world’s ground with blooms.
If you say you love books,
I’ll build you a castle made of libraries.
If you say you love night,
I’ll destroy the sun.
If you say you love chocolate,
I’ll craft a palace out of chocolate bricks.

But why can’t you just say —
“I love you”?
just wrote this poem but don't know for whom.

Power of the tongue
Do not tread lightly, for We
Can speak life or death
Disgust clouds my mind, but I must restrain my putrid tongue. I have fallen, perhaps I remain grounded for cursing myself.
nope.
an amalgmator, consolidator, a sifter,
a synthesizer, combinator, employer
of words

collect, analyze, repair, modify,
discern the overlapping, intersecting rhythms, the tools,

Drip from my lips, fall from of my grip, from my eyes, salty drip,
and I nail them to my bones,

herein lies my originality....
The millions upon millions of permutations combinations and iterations
That resolved themselves from the madness of my mind, are then attached to my living bones, inseparable, and my living mark of once existence
