I cannot wait until
You and I
Can wake up
With bed head.

Can't wait until we
Can have dinner
Together.

Can't wait to
Argue about chores
And who does what.

I can't wait to
Fall asleep in our bed
The one we make love in
And call you my husband.

In the thunder and rain,
You hear your new wife calling,
Although she's not your wife yet,
Some would call it wishful thinking.
You did promise her though
to sweep her off her feet,
and not put her down
No not to put her down,
But to take her high up,
without any fear of ever falling back down.

She would say you're like Superman,
But with no red pants,
And a caramel skin tone.
You would say you're like Batman,
Protector of your life,
Saviour of your wife,
And when you're not at home
Her courage when you're gone.

Every time I write these words
I only think about you,
However much I say I love you
She says it sounds absurd.
Not that she doesn't love me back
but her love for me she thinks I can't match.
Like the contours on a Rolex watch,
Or the exclusive Cheetah's spots,
What she is, is my Kelly's '12 Play'
I could listen to her lyrics all day,
and at the dusk just to hear her say:
I love you, I need you,
Boy there wouldn't be another to replace you,
Man don't that sound sweet,
Like a siren's song
With peace instead of danger,
She's the perfect melody.

She can do no wrong,
Every night I swear I'll tell her,
Believe it you can quote me.

Pure sweetness from natures *****,
It's true taste magnified by its beauty.
A Rose among nettles
Even a sample comes from a dreamscape of perfection.

Fresh from the combs of bee's,
A honey so thick,
An aroma so beautiful
It encompasses the mind
With the likeness of heaven itself.

Sugary sweet,
Like when two tongues meet
In a matrimonial ceremony of love.
There is no sweetness
Like the sweetness of
Brown sugar
Sugar that has been granted from up above.

Violence in our hearts
Ignorant vice of our plans

Praising
What we read
What we see
What we hear

Acquiring knowledge we seek
Enriching others' minds
You can't always enlist

Minds are being allocated
Oppressive struggle nurtures servitude

What is your brain being allocated for?
What kind of freedom are you looking for?

Can't be one of us
If you're another capitalist appropriation
Poster child, a temporary venture

Falling in line to become another
Worker or bourgeois hypocrite slave
Isn't that why you study for?
What kind of life are you looking for?

There's no saving your soul
When your freedom depends
On chains of other men's hopes

Fighting to keep yourself, your family
Future generations being born out of you
Out of the venom of oppression and pain

Living life without concern or consciousness
Just the same as living in a prison cell
America, how many inmates do you host?

Security, don't you want a guarantee?
Your family may now have peace
But when you're no longer here, there's no guarantee

Can't be one of us
If you don't join in the struggles of our brethren
Because our security is not guaranteed until they're all free
