And with the first showers
Comes the kind of sadness
Which only half loved lovers
Can feel.

She's like deliquescent caramel,

the cool side of a pillow

        to lay your weary head,

subtleties of springtime &

          warmth in wintertide,

whispering hope upon lush

        Zephyrus pipe dreams,

    mellifluous nymph with wings

                 of a butterfly warrior,

softly determined,

    unfailingly true-hearted,

       whilst relentlessly ferocious

  Wise, yet sometimes struts

        blindly in the light,

as dulcet tones of a cello's

           melodious marmalade

            in sentiment's tender fancy,

she's beauty, charm,

         knowledge, poetry,

               utter strength,

               & humane weaknesses,

she's twisted and ethereal,

           her aura sublimely captivating

     you may covet her body,

            you'll never possess her soul

It was the right thing to do
but, Oh God does it hurt.
I'll never find someone
quite like you.

I'm sorry for everything
I've put you through.
You think I'm right for you.
Trust me, I'm not.

I wish and I hope
with every fiber of my being
that you find your true soulmate.
It isn't me.

Keep searching,
keep looking,
you'll find the right one,
and maybe so will I.

Maybe someday

Can be so painful, but I find myself wanting more.
Once experienced, it's like a drug.

Those couples on TV
That never look like they would be together
End up being together season after season
Laughing and crying
Loving and loopy
Late nights and early mornings
Sarcasm and seriousness
Give a helping hand when it's needed
Look back laughing about the times they messed up
But never letting it hurt what really matters.
That's my life.
That's my long distance sitcom
