In your sky,
I long to be that moon—
the one you gaze at in wonder.

In your sweltering heat,
I wish to be the breeze—
gently brushing across your skin.

I wish to earn the right
to wipe the dampness from your hair,
with care only love can hold.

On your lips,
let me be the reason
for those sudden, silent smiles.

Let me be the woman
who holds the sacred right—
to your soul, your silence, your storm.

I want to walk beside you,
with every step you take.

And in the end,
I want nothing more
than to be yours—
only yours.

Will you give me that right?
No word, no phrase I know—
can truly explain who you are.

In a world of countless stars and skies,
you alone are my guiding star.

Even if I journey the whole wide Earth,
my weary eyes will always come to rest—
on you, and only you.
In the wildfire of some distant spring,
I know you’ll return!

Even if you come
Only after I’ve burned to ash
In that very blaze—
Still, you’ll return.

Even if it's just
To cradle the charred remains of my heart,
To hold onto the grief I left behind—
I know you'll return.

You have to return.
Someday. Somehow.

Perhaps to give something…
Or maybe, to take something away.
You gave me love—
and then the pain.
And I?

I welcomed it,
again and again!

You burned me,
In your empty space,
And I?

I was consumed—
gone without a trace!

You wished to,
drench me in silent tears,
And look—
I'm still soaked
In the ache of those years!

You silenced my heart
That beat in your name—
But even in stillness,
I feel you the same.

See, what you gave me—
I still carry with grace.
Even stripped of all,
I find peace in that place...

For once in my life,
Even if for a while—
You were mine,
And that thought makes me smile!
Uh-huh!
I never truly loved—
I drank the poison’s bitter cup!

How many times I died in that venom,
Sank deep, drowning again and again!

Giving up all hope to live,
I surrendered my soul for its sake!

Sometimes I forgot the world;
And sometimes—
Burned in the fire of my mind!

The more I see him,
The fiercer the flame of love’s blaze!

Loving with a heart so tender,
Hiding in shadows,
Silently enduring the pain!

Because I knew, deep inside—
I drank the poison called love!
Who are you?

Me?
I am a foolish bird!
Perched on the flame tree’s branch,
Madly longing for beloved spring!

Who are you?

Me?
I am a lost shore!
Harboring the hate
Of both tides within myself!

Who are you?

Me?
I am a wayward traveler!
Forgetting the weariness of a thousand years,
Setting forth in search of new paths!

Who are you?

Me?
I am a creature of the night!
Sitting by the bamboo grove,
Dreaming of a moonlit night!

Who are you?

Me?
I am a failed soul!
Having lost everything,
Yet living in hope of a new dawn!

Who are you?

Me?
I am an empty lover!
Drowning and dying,
In the illusion of love!
Because you are here—
That moon shines so bright,
The evening sky so colorful and light!

Because you are here—
I want to be a sparrow,
To build a nest on the flame tree’s bough.

Because you are here—
The riverbanks bloom and glow,
Adorned with Kash flowers in gentle flow.

Because you are here—
The whole ocean rushes to shore,
Waves crash with a mighty roar!

Because you are here—
Through the open southern window,
A soft breeze stirs my heart’s innuendo.

Because you are here—
Dark circles beneath my eyes—
Show no sign, no compromise.

Because you are here—
Like a free bird, I spread my wings,
Yearning to fly in open skies and sing!

Because you are here—
As the blue of the sky,
I paint you with colors high and nigh!
