Encounter
Alapan Das Jul 12
Maybe I’ll never again meet you,
Maybe our ways have parted,
               Long before I was ready.

What you’ve given is given to very few
The sparkling eyes and lofty smile startled
me, made this quiet life unsteady.

Perhaps, I’ll never see you again,
Our meeting is just a single page,
Where the greatest thoughts are discussed.

Perhaps, next time, I’ll see you in heaven
Will walk up to you and on the golden stage,
Show you the page that I’ve already turned.

Heaven! It’s just a metaphor, a pretence
Our destinies have repulsed, as quickly as they met,
‘No metaphor is going to give birth to love’,
It’s just in me; you don’t remember my existence.

Scattered
Alapan Das Jul 12
The world is slipping away,
                         My connections, they are greasy.
I’m feelin’ like a lost astronaut,
A mischievous wanderer for great ecstasy.

They can’t see me, nor can I,
                   One day I’ll vanish suddenly.
The past would betray my presence,
And the present march on lonely.

I discover a timid light, far, far away
In the grand noir, you, who I witness
The desperate me tries to touch the light,
But with time, I’m losing the race.

Present discontinuous

I don’t want to make any more memories,
                         Because memories hurt.
I’m going to **** what’s left and
                       **** what’s going to start.

The folly of my love, my infatuation,
                   It is cruel and disgraceful.
The nonsense that possessed me,
Made me venture into romantic drool.

Let me fly away to the distant emptiness,
                  The existence is unbearable.
Let me drown in the swamp of darkness,
Because the hope is so miserable.

Make me stand in front of a gun squad, and
Throw the bullets like a meteor shower.
Make my blood flicker out of my heart,
Just like I’ve lost all my power.
