I love to go to the lost and found

The piles of clothes always abound

I go to find something I've lost

All the things here were tossed

And misplaced here upon the ground

But now are here in lost and found

Sweatshirts and shorts all gone

Left upon someone's lawn

Waiting here to be claimed

Some off which are already named

Nametags and sharpie on the tags

In terrible condition from snags

Some unnamed and some forgotten

Water bottles and lunch boxes that are rotten

Troubles

So close yet so far
Just enough to clear the bar
I don’t know why I live
When I have nothing I can give

So lost in everything from life
Cut through like butter and knife
One thing here another there
Before I know I’ll have gray hair

My purpose in life is to show
A light in the dark for all to know
Yet where should I even start
Maybe to come from the heart?

One phase now and yet another
never could be the perfect lover
Wanted to be the bigger brother

Looking for something to fill the space
One day I’ll find a person to take that place
Be able finally find my pace
Sadness leaving zero trace

— The End —
