 Dec 2020 stillhuman

I stood up and left the fire that burnt my touch,
though as night falls I grow to miss its warmth.

unnamed
the faces in my memories no longer smile
with the chubby cheeks of youth
they have aged with me
til that wondrous sparkle faded from their eyes

as i have grown bitter so have our hearts together
so that now those memories which once brought me comfort
now greet me with mocking & jeers
It’s raining today
My mind- peaceful, calm, quiet
It’s raining again tomorrow
And for that, I am happy.
It was supposed to be a Haiku but I felt it needed a bit more to it.
Would love any and all feedback

I yearn to be
In all the places
That we cannot reach
And maybe taste that success
That people claim
To be so sweet.
I mean, though, it should be easy xD
Too lazy to actually work, yet I want everything the world has to offer :'

I would let my demons consume me
If it meant that you would be better.
I would let you eat my heart
If it took away your loneliness.
And I would set myself on fire every single day
If it meant that I could hold you
o n e. l a s t. t i m e.

GAIL
Yes, we feel the same.

The only difference is you could only say "I love you" while whispering, when you're drunk.

While I, I could shout it even when I'm sober.

cosmo naught
the angel on my shoulder
picked up smoking,
the devil on the other
took up yoga—

they don't know
how much they have
in common.
I walk at night
just to walk.
By dim streetlight
I walk at night.
From city's height
to the river dock -
I walk at night
just to walk.
The moon comes double,
with a necklace of river.
It sighs and sighs
in black flakes of rain.

Red trees give us
mouthfuls of nocturnes,
like doves whistling
from the roof.
