He walked in the fields alone
The clouds above big and heavy
Dark grey, filled with gloom
Every other noon

There was no road
Unsettling music was played in the sky
Orchestrated by the clouds

He walked unafraid
Not knowing his fate
Desirous of the rains

He had tilled the land
Until it grew green
Prosperity rained

He stumbled upon the gold
In the ancestral remains
Deserted by the predecessors
He thanked every grain

To be a piece of paper
Thrown at sea,
Crumpled—furiously
Unable to be.

To row against
Undaunted waves,
Tall as mountains,
Jagged as nails.

Oh, to wish
To greet the sand,
Just to meet
Some reader's hands.
I'm thankful to
The hard times
The bad days
The rejections
The failures
The hurdles
The mistakes

I'm thankful to
The hope
The patience
The prayers
The life

Beyond all truth
I'm thankful to you

The Tree’s last leaf falls
Does it reflect on Spring’s blooms;
Dreaming with eyes closed
Sometimes those blooms bore such sour fruit.
I do enjoy attempting haiku with Nature elements. I should take some time to study the development of the Haiku and its form.

Serene, float among green growth,
Buds desire to open, join the flotilla.
Gentle one, you are like the waterlily
Which grow across the surface,
The still surface of my pond.

Swanlight shatters dusk,
fractured gold on silent waves,
love sinks, sings, returns.
