 Sep 2020 Spriha Kant
Aparna
skimming through thoughts
kindling fires
crackling;
gust
of
wind
swishing;
dancing flames
burning down to ashes
...
and then there's the smoke,
clouding up my head
Violin strings broken by a pacing mind...

Flower beds trampled by rugged feet...

Sky crashing over the head like a curse...

Sunsets but remnants of tears long rolled down the cheek...

Her world just turned to being colourless...

Trapped in that one single heartbeat  only which can sustain!
For that one moment in life when it seems just the end... Let us keep hope!
Thank you for reading this... ❣
There are whispers

Suffocating rumors

Tomorrow's deep pockets are full of sand

We hold power in our hands like water

No containment

Fear must fall in drops and settle into streams

Drink it up

Feel it in your thirst

Feel it tighten 'round your throat
Equations
in the sand

Laid out
and toweling off

Curvatures to
algebraic form

They define her lines
shape her axis

My island of
expectation

Amid summer's long
subterfuge

The lake shimmers in golden velveteen

A gift from the sun, at sundown

The palm trees lined up in rows

The birds flew into the branches

For the gala evening show

🌿✨✨🌿

Dispassionately detached
The flower from the stem falls
Its fragrance lingers
in the last moments
A life devoted to its deed
In time, with revered passion fulfilled

🥀
Like a dogs macrosmatic sense
I’m keen to your needs
I gravitate to you like a magnetic field
To wherever it leads
****** into your pull
Now that my heart is full
And caught up in your web
of fascination
