Succinctly yours
For those who abhors
Descriptive jargon
That I’d pardon
Not always aware of what they mean
Sometimes go by what is seen
One can be mistaken
a word that is faken
And one where the meaning is ambiguous
To words who we abhorred
Because the meaning is unknown
I’ve learnt a few as I’ve grown!

It starts with the kids
The little darlings need to be taught
Respect
Consideration
Right and wrong
To love one another
Compromise
About kindness
About caring
About love
And above all
Faith, Hope and charity
Give them clarity
To do good
Then they’ll be equipped
For a good happy healthy life!

Laughter
Of course they say
Laughter is good
Good for the soul
Good for the heart
Laugh out loud
Laugh in a crowd
Laugh anywhere
You are allowed
Laughter is lovely
Laughter is fun
Laughter is juveley
Excuse the pun
Laughter keeps you alive
Laughter helps us survive!
Laugh a little
Laugh a lot
Laughter is Brittle
Laughter is spread
Laughter is contagious
So it’s been said
One laughs then another
Until you cry
Doubled up laughing
Teardrops drops from the eye
Good for your soul
I can not deny!

My husband says
Stop eating those sprouts
It’s windy enough outside
Without gusts of wind inside

He goes on to say
Hello brown
Are you coming down
The rest room is this way

And he asks
What’s that odour
I do for tell
It’s the cat

A silent killer
An angry gust
Boy the cat
Must eat some rust

Life's too short and precious,
Do we really try to enjoy
the beauty of life were given?
Like a walk outside when its cold as ice
the sun is shining its so very nice,
You feel so invigorated and so alive
it helps us to carry on and survive,
Like looking up at the stars
on a dark clear night and the beauty
and peacefulness is a sheer delight,
Like enjoying the silence
when all is still
its better than taking any pill,
Like appreciating the wonders of the world
giving us so much pleasure and peace,
Makes the love in our hearts simply just increase!

Life is beautiful
The creativity of creatures is amazing
from the insects to the birds to the fish and mammals of the world
The colours and the hues
Big and small
I love them all
Life is amazing
We’ve just got to use our senses
To appreciate what there is
From sight, smell, sound
In the air, on the ground
Everywhere and all around
Life is beautiful!

I haven’t done much poetry lately
Too much going on
A sick husband and a very poorly friend
I need to care for whilst they are there for
Because life is fickle life is frail
We’re not immortal we can fail
Nothing lasts forever
It’s like a feather
It floats, it’s fragile,
But for a while
We can live
And we can smile!
Make the most
And run that mile!

Life can be cruel
Life can be kind
But that’s the rule
Some may find
Some are so lucky
They have everything
Others seem to suffer
At what ever life will bring
Life’s unfair
Some just dare
Some just do
Some just worry their lives away
Hoping that there’s some good one day!
For them too!

Life’s not easy
Or Bright and breezy
Cuddly and squeezey
Life’s more sneezy
Hard to pleasey
Often teazey
Constantly wheezey

Life’s quite hard
Often barred
Shown the red card
On your guard
Easily jarred
Some are tarred
Or up the yard!

They say stress is under our control
But life’s ups and downs
Spin you round and round
Making you dizzy
Making it harder to play
So press the button
Tell it to stop
Sit right down
Before you drop
Think just for a minute
Of calmness and peace
Take five
Will help you survive
The stress
That makes the mess
Of your life
Stress now Be gone
Now that you’re free just carry on!

Oh how I love you
But when we disagree
Or you don’t listen to me
I just despair
I know that you care
But I walk away
To cool down and cry
I get over it because our love is strong
So all I ask
Is a simple task
Just listen!

Listen to the birds
Tonight They’re exchanging lots of words,
With their beautiful bird song
As the sun slowly goes down and the night is not long
And as the air quickly cools
And the sky gently drools
After a lovely sunny day
And as the night comes near
The bats will appear
Flying tree to tree
Across and in front of me
Then the owl starts to hoot
And it’s baby owlet so cute
starts crying
It needs a feed before it leaves the nest and start flying
Hearing the birds
I have no other words
Other than how beautiful it sure is to listen and hear at this time of year.

From pink to purple to blue
To green to red
The little lights are a delight
Flashing on and off
Just those little lights
Brighten up our dark dark nights!

Little noises that they make!
But they do not wake
When they are all curled up asleep
probably when they’re sleeping deep
The cat wheezes and sometimes snores
You hear her through the open doors
The dog has what I suppose are dreams
And cutely yelps it seems
Her little legs twitching
She’s running or she’s itching
But still she stays asleep
And still she doesn’t peep!
Those beautiful little noises
Are like a bunch of red roses!

Baby animals
And little tots
I have lots of soft spots
They’re so cuddly
They’re so cute
soft and gentle
Sweet Innocence
Their smell is a delight
Cuddle when they cry at night
Feed when the need feeding
Love when they need love
Appreciate whilst they’re so little
As they all grow up overnight!

I woke up this morning
To another day dawning
I Looked at that sky
With a sad tainted eye
Is it going to rain ?
Or are we gonna die?
dark closing in as day goes by
It’s so incredibly grey
Another wet windy day
The wind is roaring
Like an angry voray
It’s now pouring!
What can I just say?

We had so much fun
All those years ago
And as you know
I love you so

I know we’re not immortal
We all have to go sometime
But sadly we now know
Soon you will go

Off To the beautiful palace in the sky
Where the good go to rest
The big c has spread
Soon you’ll be gone

We’ve just got to face
And With my arms I embrace
All that you are and were so brave
You’ll never be forgotten

You’ll always be in my heart
We will all miss you
So now I shall kiss you
And bid you a farewell

You’ll take a piece of my heart
When you depart
Please wait for me
In time I will follow

And we’ll meet up there
On a twinkly star
High in the sky
When I eventually die

I love you !
I will miss you!

I hear the air rushing
Through your mask
To your lungs
It’s a mean old task
Things said and unsung
I know you love me
And I have to be strong
I love you too
Because together we belong
I know I need to be patient
As I know you’re very ill
Sadly you’re not ancient
But I’m here for you until
The time You no longer need me
But I will need you still!
Losing you just isn’t right
I‘ll still hear you breathing through the night!
But when you’re gone
I’ll be the dying swan!

It costs nothing
To love
It takes nothing
To have peace
It achieves nothing
To destruct

Love is that chemistry
Two souls as one
Like floating on a lake, a beautiful swan
Two drops of rain come together as one
That's love!

Love one another
As you would love yourself
Be kind to everyone
And everyone you face
Go in peace
And let the love release!

From the tip of my fingers to the top of my nose,
My love for you grows and grows!

How much I really love you
And how much I really care
Nobody really knows
It’s between us I suppose!

From the top of my head
To the top of my toes
Everyone knows
I really love you
And I don’t just suppose!
I do actually know!

Love is
toleration
Give and take
Patience
Share the cake
embrace
Kiss and cuddle
Sharing
Half each
caring
Look out for each other!

Love is powerful
Love is great
Love gets rid of anger and hate
Love is ours to give
Love will help us live
Love is all we really need
Love one and all and love indeed
Love gets rid of all the hate
Love will put the world in a better state!

Love is so powerful
Love is a powerful word
Such a strong little word
Meaning a closeness
A feeling of ease
A special emotion
It can not be measured
It can not be bought
It grows and matures
And can open the doors!
To everyone’s heart! 💓

Love one another
As you’d love yourself
Love is all we need
Not a world of wealth
Love is the food of life
Love keeps us going not just yourself
But everyone let it go rife
The world should stand together
And give love to one and all
Before this world disintegrates
And off the world we’ll fall!

Everyone and every living thing in this universe
Matters in life,
Everyone no matter who or what in this verse
Needs love,
We all need each other
And need to live in harmony!

Everyone should just stop for a minute to think or even bother,
And feel the love
Like the trees do,
The butterflies and bees do
And the flowers and seas do!

We are all alive
And a long time dead!
Be kind to each other
Watch what you say and think what you said,
Only speak  of good or just don't bother,
Think twice, and be nice to the living,
Consider your friend, stranger, sister, brother,
By being kind, thoughtful, loving and giving !

When I’m dead and gone
“I want to come back as a dog in your house”
Is what my man would say
Comfortable warm and cosy
Walked, fed and loved every single day
Cuddles, kisses and lots of games to play!

Low
So what do you know!!!!!
I’m feeling so low!
I’m only human so there you go!
Just like anyone else friend or foe,
We all have feelings in tow,
Things happen in life,
Causing so much strife,
So come on with the pick up!
Chocolate and cheese, oh yup!
A glass of fine wine or a cup,
of coffee laced with spirit to sip!
So I’ve just gotta say
I’ve got to get real!
And just deal
With how I feel
Face my problems front on
Let the Gitts know they haven’t won!

Lure
Lure you’re a star I’d say
Even though you’re far away
You give me hope
Which helps me cope
And Encouragement to write my poetry
You are
A poetry buddy
And a lovely friend
With thanks and love
I surely send!

Make me smile
And I’ll run that mile
Make me laugh
And I’ll dance that path!
Make me sick
You better move quick
Make me cry
I might just die
Make me sad
You might feel bad!



I swear if the sun and the moon weren’t there life would be bare

May the owl give you wisdom,
May the magpie give you luck,
May the dove give you love and peace,
May the flowers give you perfume,
May the trees give you shelter,
May life give you what you wish!

I’m fully a female
Voluptuous at that
With a 66 year old figure
Ok yes I ‘m fat
But do I care
As I’m happy with that
And despite all
I love handbags clothes and shoes
And shop in the mews
I like to look smart
And this is an art

I see it in your eyes
There’s no surprise
The glow from your soul
And the love on the whole
Is deep within
Just let us in!

No one is born bad
I know that you’re sad
It’s the damage from without
That caused the doubt
but now you are changing
Into a beautiful soul
With love in your heart
And good on the whole!

I thought I saw a shooting star
I made a wish
Then I saw more

I thought oh wow
A shooting star
Then I saw more

I kept wishing
Upon that o shooting star
Then I saw more

And someone told me
It was a meteorite shower
Anyway that’s ok
What a wonderful site
Then I saw more!

Its the middle of the night!
But that's alright
I'm not tired
My brain is wired
The neurones fired
I want to write
in the middle of the night!

Quick off to bed now
Midnight is coming
It’s five to Twelve
It’ll soon be another day
Tonight is nearly gone
Tomorrow is nearly here
As midnight chimes
A new day is dawning
Middle of the night
Now early morning!

Money
It’s not that funny
It buys bread and honey
And when it’s sunny
It’s free
You soak it up
You see
Money though
As you probably know
Slips through our fingers
The debt still lingers!
