As a child
I was meek and mild
But we used to play in the triggery!

It was at the end of our road
called Peacock Avenue,
Which was tree lined and really nice!
And we used to live right next to the dead centre, The cemetery

We’d bring lotsa pressys back for Mum
Like a duck and ducklings
A newt
A rather large dragon fly
Various cats
Until she said no more

She’d say take that back now
In a bit of a fluster
We didn’t know
she was really not that keen on nature!

In the dark of night the spirits roam,
They’ve been away,
Now they’ve come home ,
The candles flicker ,
And the moon is bright ,
Feathers drop from a height ,
Silhouette shapes are seen on the wall,
The spirits know just who to call!

Silently, silently Go in peace,
Feel the beautiful air Upon your face!
Walking in a forest of woodland and green,
There’s so much beauty to be felt and seen,
Such beauty you really can not replace
Breathe, breathe in the air and embrace
A scene, Where the air is fresh and clean
in this beautiful woodland space!

I questioned why criminals aren’t punished
And this is what they say,
I was told they only have their freedom taken away ,
For we are not to judge they say
We have to respect one another
No matter what they’ve done!
Will they ever learn
To respect us too
I haven’t got a clue!
But some do!

I worked in a prison as a nurse
No it wasn’t really a curse
I showed my respect
Didn’t ask what they had done
We all got on delightfully
In fact it really was quite fun!

There’s hope in the air !
Because I put it out to prayer!
I asked the almighty to listen to my worries,
I talk to the elders ,
And leave it with them ,
I have faith ,
I have hope,
That’s the only way I can cope!
I am Christian and my husband is a Pagan!
And between us we try to make things work,
We light the candles,
We set the cauldron ,
We pray that another day
Will give us hope
To help us cope
I love so many things about paganism
But I believe in the almighty
Putting them together
I can see much more brightly!

It’s only ten am, but then!
And I have already walked the dog,
Fed the cats, And fed the dog!
Had a shower that was a wow(er)
Lovely dovely, nice and clean,
Been shopping , I’m dropping, not stopping
Made a stew, Pugh , tastes good too,
Made an apple and blackberry crumble
I hear my tummy rumble,
Had some toast , with lovely butter
The dog had half, I have to mutter,
And some coffee, iced cold but  good for me,
Made my husband a cup of tea,
While he sleeps in front of me
And now I’m back to bed to rest my weary head and have it said
I’ll have another sleep
Before I end up in a heap!

Feeling the lovely breeze
Watching the nature
Sure does it please
The robin has just visited the fat *****
For a munch
Wasn’t breakfast must be brunch
The holly has lots of green berries
And honeysuckle is growing a treat
The bamboos taken over
But it is very sweet
The weeping Willow has spread far and wide
Great to play, a place to hide
The grass has grown
But the path does lead
To the man cave and the shed
Hiding behind the greenery!
From here it is such lovely scenery!
And the budleigha is in form
With beautiful colours of purple and cerise
A treat for the eye to see
Hope they increase!

We walked and walked this morning
All around the block
That’s me and my Moo
We met lots of other doggies
She had to say hello to them all
That’s why our walk is more like a crawl
She loves to say hello
To everyone one that passes
Lots of cocker poos but none were actually lassies
Moo is like a cocker poo but she’s a Bijon  frise poodle cross or Heinz 57
Or that’s what is said she was!
But she is really heaven!

I once got a birthday card
That was so precidiuos and precise
It said if no one saw me eat
there were no calories in it, that’s neat,
It told me if I was given a chocolate bar
Again it was calorie free, ha ha!

The sky is white with cloud
Like a covering of a shroud
The trees look dark green
Not bright when the sun has been
Every thing is still in the garden
Tis still and staid and star done
Oh Mother Nature I beg your pardon
Is there a storm coming our way?
I asked Alexa and she said not today
But I feel spots of rain
It’s just too calm
Calm before the storm they say!
I think it’s on its way!

The garden is a haven
For butterflies and bees
For wild flowers and trees
The birds come by
For a piece of pie
And the squirrel comes
With or without chums
For the suet *****
And the pretty plump robin calls
Sharing the *****
If the squirrel’s not taken them all
The weeping Willow has grown
it’s like a big green gown
The bamboo has gone rife
It’s all come to life
In my natural garden!

The kids where I live
Just don’t care
They smash things up
And leave their writing there
They don’t respect authority
They don’t respect property
They don’t respect anything
The litter they leave
Is somewhat to grieve
I wish they’d grow up
And just leave!

Noisey cars!
They think they’re sporty,
They think they’re cool,
Silly boys,
You don’t fool,
The noise,
Need to get their exhaust fixed,
Hey but they're not hurting anyone,
Unless they drive fast!
And run someone over,
Dam and blast!
It’s just the noise,
The peace it just destroys!

Oh where has that sun gone today?
The clouds are grey!
But the airs ok!
I was hoping to go out to play!
With the sun on my skin.
On the sun lounger I’d lay
So where is the sun today?

It’s a heat wave
But I’m brave
Turned the jacuzzi down to thirty
Nice and cold
Oh I’m bold
I got in
Like a fruitful sin
And immersed myself
In the cool water
With the jets going well
And the sun beaming down
It felt so good
It felt so cool
It felt so nice
As sun plays a dual
It’s hot
So hot hot hot
We shouldn’t moan
It’s summer is it not?

I hate the sound of bouncing *****
Sirens going and unwelcome calls
Naughty kids causing damage to fences and even walls
I hate to hear people shouting and rowing
Fighting and balling

All I want is a bit of peace
Please just let the fighting cease!

I thank thee for the sun
It brightens up the darkest day
I thank thee for the rain
It feeds  trees plants and flowers in our terrain
I’m grateful for it all
The wind may call
We have it all in our summer

But in the winter
I thank thee for the snow
Because you know
I love it so

An Autumn breeze is so nice
When the golden leaves just show
And when they drop
A carpet of golden leaves will grow

But spring is beautiful
When the little lambs are born
Bouncing in the fields
Together but never fore-lawn

The sun shines
And takes the pain away
Brightens up a dull dark day
Warms the cockles of your heart
With a bright blue sky
And no clouds in the way
I think it’s gonna be a lovely day!

A chopped  up apple
A small satsuma
A glass of iced water
Is my idea of bliss
On a hot summer day

When you have time on your hands and need to do the mundane things like paint the wall, brushing the astroturf cleaning cupboards,
You just don’t wanna do it!
So just ***** it!
When the washing that’s just dried needs ironing you don’t feel like it, sod it I don’t care! It’s just too hot out there!
So off to bed where it’s cool
With a glass of sparkling water
and I know I ought to
Go to sleep!
So I write poetry!

Up at 4 am walking the dog,
Just walking because I don’t jog,
Feed the cats when I get in
Back home to bed
with a cuppa and toasted bread
Back to sleep
Usually deep
Up again about 11
That sleep was really heaven
House work to do
Washing cleaning too
Make some lunch or call it brunch
Tidy up
Get out a dish and cup
My other half arises
There’s no surprises
Chair all ready, cup of tea
A dish of porridge
But that not for me
I’ll have salmon and scrambled egg
We discuss the weather
Then he does the Alexa quiz just as ever
Usually gets it right
He’s clever you know alright!
But on the days I work
Up at 4 just like before
Get ready for work
That’s the score
Leave at half past four
Off I go
Back the next night
Tired and ready to sleep
No problem it’s just once a week!
That’s me!

Up at sunrise
Nice and cool
The air is fresh
suns like a jewel
Bright and beautiful
Rising high
Up there in a morning sky
And as the day begins
The heat increases
As the sun shines bright
it’s hot today
And was through the night
Bring out the ice
And The fans that’s nice
Maybe a cold shower
It may help for an hour
Keeping cool
When it’s hot hot hot!

Do they really hate this world and planet so much
That they need to destroy and destruct
Hurt and ****
Do they think they own the world
Because they never will
So just stop the ****
It’s not Gods will
God is powerful
God is strong
They need to see they are wrong
It will all be taken away from them
What’s the point
Surely all they are doing is destructing the world , which is a planet and our world
The world can be and is a beautiful place
With beautiful people
All they want is just to deface
What’s it all for
They’ll never live forever
There will never be any good from fighting and killing destroying and destruction
But if they can come to a compromise and stop, and save this world and planet
And see what a beautiful place it can be!
Let there be peace in this beautiful world!
Live together in peace and harmony!
Love one another
Maybe then they won’t see hell on earth
They’re not immortal or immune
It’ll affect them too and quite soon!

Let us have peace
Just never let it cease
Let us have love
It comes from God above
Let us have support
For each other we ought
Let us have joy
Stop those who just destroy

All this fighting and killing should stop
This day and age there is no need
Why can’t they just from the top
Discuss, compromise agree to disagree is all we plead
We don’t like to see people bleed
It’s all about greed
They’ll never succeed
Let the innocent be freed!
Stop this unnecessary fighting
Or you’ll all be hit with lightening!
All we want is peace
Let now the fighting cease!
