She woke up from her deep sleep
Finally back from a long trip
She looked around but found none
In panic she ran

But it seems that the road was endless
And she was alone and friendless
So she stopped and stood still
Thinking if this was real

That’s when she realized
She’s no longer paralyzed
There she goes, already up on her feet
All this is true, without deceit

She tries to remember,
What happened last December
Alas, she could not
Her thoughts jumbled in a knot

What was even the day?
Her mind hazy and grey
She remembers Christmas
And after that, the sickness

She tries to recall
Until she can finally remember all
The moment she took her last breath
And was taken by death.
He comes and goes
A man no one really knows
He’s there when you’re alone
Still as a stone

Sadness he detects
And closer he gets
He’ll devour you slowly
And takes your mind wholly

You deter him from time to time
Yet he’s always there, just waiting to climb
He whispers things,
Bad things that’ll break your wings

Sometimes he’ll whisper the sweetest things
Oh, what a joy that brings
He offers you freedom
And acts like a beacon

You’re afraid to take it
Fear to fall in that pit
Be strong you must
Don’t listen and trust

For he’ll absorb positive emotion
Slowly pushing you to the ocean
Be careful around him
Don’t let yourself take the swim.
I dreamed of you
And it was too good to be true.
You were smiling
And it was beguiling.

Like always, you wouldn’t talk.
You’ll just stare and walk.
But that’s okay,
Thanks for the visit anyway.

For now, watch us from above.
This is me sending some love.
Till we meet again,
In the safe heaven’s den.
You say I’m beautiful, I look away shy,
Like I’m still that girl, when you first caught my eye.
Your words, still electric, they flutter and burn,
And cheeks that should know better still blush in return.

You laugh and you tease, “Still crushing on me?”
I just grin and nod, ‘cause how could I not be?
The butterflies stayed, they never outgrew,
This love that still flutters, still flusters for you.
You're still making me blush like a highschool girl... How annoying
“I love you more,” he said with a grin,
“By a mile, by a lot, and I’m sure to win.”

She rolled her eyes, “Oh, that’s sweet,
But I love you more, can’t be beat.”

“No way,” he scoffed, “I love you most,
I even shared my garlic toast.”

“I love you more,” she said with flair,
“Like sunshine on a summer air.”

“I’d fight a lion just for you,”
He teased, “I’d win, that’s nothing new!”

“But I hold your hand when you’re half asleep,
And whisper ‘shhh’ when your dreams get deep.”

He chuckled, “And I press snooze every day,
Just to lie beside you and delay.”
I love you more. Like, way more than you even think
“You must be tired,” he winks, all bold,
“Been running through my mind, truth be told.”

I blink, I groan, “Please not again.”
He nods, “Babe, these lines? Solid ten outta ten.”

He goes and pulls me near,
Whispers, “You’re my favorite human, dear.”

And though I sigh and roll my eyes,
He wins again, no real surprise.
You're my favorite human too. Don't ever change silly dork.
If love had a shape,
a sound, or a hue,
it would look,
and feel,
just like you.
With just one ring, the world stood still,
A question asked, a heart to fill.
A whispered yes beneath starlight,
Two souls entwined that gentle night.
