His bets on his future turned out to be his only unpaid debts.

Whatever falls from above has to crawl for a while.

When I saw your eyes smile at me, my heart slowed to a crawl.

Your bright-eyed smile is a sight to behold!

In the course of a quick journey from mud to mud, why is there a thud...thud beat in the chest cavity? Is it a reminder of the passage of time?

I mistook the snake for a rope,
luckily it was dead.
