"You're so sweet!" "What a cutie!"
Is that the best you can do?
Those are defaults and fillers
I don't want to hear that from you
I want you to point out the things
That the general public don't see
The sides to me that surprise you
Normally masked by timidity
You get to see my lion
But still recognize my lamb
Tell me I'm so much more
Than strangers might think I am
There is a fervid spirit in me
But it's cloaked in a subtle attire
While the entire world calls me simple and sweet,
I need you to call me
A wildfire.

Just in the shadows,
Waiting to take a step forward.
Hesitation for a blessing
Or a lack of courage?
Lingering to see.
Not ready to commit.
Always someone else.
Never the hero
to save the day.
Just a bystander to marvel
At life happening.

Drop of a word.
Not saying exactly what mean.
Just a tad off.
A gap not quite reaching.
Knowing, quietly knowing.
Empty and full at the same time.
Morning never rises.
Night is ever present.
Lapsing gently from present to past.
Leaving this for the next.
Exiting through the past.

Slowly taking away every piece of me written from this place
My power is limited, but I love the feeling of purge
it will be fresh start, gradually and then all of a sudden
It will be blessing in disguise, a hidden current,
Stilled in backdated history, written words are not immortal.

Somewhere outside
the ship of dreams
made up of black midnight blues , floats lifelessly in the morning dew .

Changed after marriage,
My daughter-in-law made me the happiest person on earth.
My son learned to brush his teeth every night before bed,
Take a bath often,
Change his briefs everyday,
Sort and take out the garbage bins,
Mow the lawn,
Also learned to help his wife around the house,
Made morning tea.
Simple magic,
HE WAS IN LOVE,
And love is blind.

Silly words or actions every now and then
We all make mistakes

Actions hurt words hurt

Sometimes it’s what you say

I’m going to walk by faith
Not to lose sight
I know GOD is right
His light shines through
I won’t lose sight
Looking up at the sky
