the Book of Life

the days of our living
they ebb and flow
choices
are ours

His choice
was made known
before time began

He allows
our joys and sorrows
to remind us
always

that He is there
always

He is the loving
long-suffering
yearning
Father

the One with aching open arms

encouraging us
to make the choice
to keep our name
in that Book of Life

He never forces us
to choose

our greatest choice

the surrendering

and the kneeling

Our choosing must be done out of love, not fear.
God is pure love
Receive Him today,
Take His hand
make the choice
to walk...and kneel.
the beauty of sunrise
its sensational colours
makes me jubilant.

Navigating mercy

An asylum harbor from afar

Here, in the gloaming of your closed
notebooks

A faint-hearted horizon

And the wide beam sea

Two days out from despair

The written word will capsize
you, Anne

God is in your typewriter
and where the boats so often go
Anne Sexton (November 9, 1928 – October 4, 1974)
Just as a Turtle pulls back it's
Head and limbs into the shell, when at serious risk

You also pull back your sense organs from  the deadly fascination of wordly objects
You may be able to keep
Your money in a bank
But never your secrets

Not with so many tellers

Green meadows and distant hills
The shepherd sings to the herd
An old folk song, of sparkling rills

The sheep graze, heads bent down
Little bells around their necks
Dance to the tune of the old folk song

The sheep love the water mud pools
Monsoon brings greens and browns
Shelter and food

The shepherd and his herd
From the neighbouring town
Enjoy the picnic, up the hills
On a road journey today
It's perfectly fine to feel emotionally tired...sometimes even the heart needs a break...don't be too ******* yourself...just breathe and try to relax.

All my life I’ve heard
That I’m not enough
I’m not fair enough
I’m not tall enough
I’m not skinny enough
I’m not smart enough

Enough is enough

I have learnt to
Be enough for me
And that’s all that matters
My friend gave me a “write a poem in 1 min” challenge and this is what I came up with!
