People are walking poetry
Hard battles inside the mind.
Sometimes soft, sometimes loud, always chaos
Nothing forgotten, left behind.

Sometimes I think that people
Are full of burning hate
Then I realize that they hold love
Two opposing traits.

People are walking poetry
Each of us made of words
Caging feelings so very deep
We are adjectives and verbs
We are poems you’ll want to keep.

Morphine,
Like her sister
Absinthe,
Has a slender, glass waist,
But she is not as green,
And lacks
Taste.
Both have
Fragile wings
And whisper things
You didn't want
To know,
One with
A hint of mint,
The other's breath
As cold as snow.
Teach me
the birds and the bee's knees,
and I'll tell you about
the wolf in cheap clothing,
he gets his threads
at deep discount.

Recite me
the letters of the alphabet,
and I'll unleash upon you
questions and vowels,
AEIOU
and sometimes why (?)

Lecture me
on the dangers of fast food,
and I'll give you total recall
of the taco meat,
ring the bell
even-steven.
Learning and teaching should go both ways.
