My tea is slowly steeping and some coffee I’ll soon make
My early morning habits are what I undertake
To make an early morning flow I always do the same
To repeat what I do every day is really my true aim
For when we repeat our patterns they become a part of us
For learning something that we like is really not a fuss
In order to learn to do the same we do it ‘till it’s ok
Eventually the task becomes a part of every day
So if you find something is hard and you really have concern
Then practice daily all the time until the task you learn
It’s the daily practice habit that soon becomes a game
Because what you are doing daily is truly quite the same
I want to learn to read a book or perhaps to meditate
A practice daily will give all you choose to undertake
So heed my words and give it a try and know that you will win
For all you need to win this game is really just to begin

My heart is set on ice cream
But it’s spinach I will eat
For while I know I shouldn’t
Chocolate definitely would be my treat
I’m trying here with all my might
To eat foods that bring me up
It’s the ones with higher calories
On which I prefer to sup
My perseverance is waning
And patience is running low
The chocolate bar is calling
It’s the kale that brings a glow
I know I should be healthy
And eating foods that are right
But my choice right now is limited
So I eat whatever is in sight
I empty all my cupboards
I clean my frig as well
I want a svelter figure
And French fries make me swell
What will it take to keep me on
A regime that is right
My clothes no longer fit me
And my jacket sure is tight
So help me, support me, make me see
That healthy is where it’s at
To set my mind to knowing more
And stop all that back chat
I want to long for vegetables
I want to crave no more
I want to know that eating
Should be more than just a chore
I want to learn to listen
To what my body says to me
I want to exercise with joy
A thinner body to enjoy with glee
I want to let go of all those habits
That keep me from my goal
I want to eat and exercise
And feed my inner soul

We’re looking and we’re seeking
And we truly think we’ll find
The answer to  our questions
Our true self to be defined
We look in many places
And hope others will give us truth
When the answer to all our queries
Is actually in our  youth
Be kind be good don’t run away
Be friendly as you play
Look nice keep clean don’t speak to strangers
And find some time to pray
Please respect others don’t talk when  you eat
Say please and thank you for all
Don’t scrunch don’t shout finish what’s on your plate
Please stand up very tall
So much is asked of us when we are young
We try to do them all
We fidget we forget we balk and shout
And answer nature’s call
To be good is really simple
If we remember these three words
Do good be good be one
And practice these three verbs
For in doing we make changes
In being we understand
The most import lesson is be one
This is the one that God has planned
That we understand that we are all the same
No matter the colour or walk
That we treat each other as truly our own
If we learn to walk the talk
Finding our self means finding other
That’s all a part of the game
To find out that we are more than us
That we are truly all the same
So take your part in the game of life
Walk tall and show your face
For who you are is what we need
It’s all the good lords Grace

Do you ever feel like people talk
They do their blah blah blah
They really don’t know how to stop
They wear me ‘till I’m raw
I block my ears I close my eyes
I try to make them go
But they never even notice
And they make me feel so low
If I could only make them see
That non stop is so crude
They would understand that what they do
Is really kind of rude
I like to talk to people
And hear what they have to say
But non stop blah blah blah
Just has to go away
If they would take a breath or two
It would be kind of nice
The silence in that moment
Would really then suffice
So when you have some things to say
I hope you will hold in
The thoughts that run inside your head
Because silence is truly golden

Red and yellow blue and green
A rainbow passing by
A message filled with hope and love
We may be asking why
Some things happen that make us sad
Some things we don’t know
We think that we can change it
And learn to  go with the flow
It’s not about the good and bad
It’s not about the dark
But maybe about how we can
Just light a little spark
Things happen in this world of ours
Feels like we’re passing through
It’s about how we react to life
And use the things we knew
You can accept you can fight
You can sit and cry
You can react with all your might
Or just let things pass by
If you can just accept your fate
And grow with faith and love
Then happiness will follow
All that you are dreaming of

Tea or coffee coffee or tea
Do I want to wake up or do I want to sleep
I’m looking around the world has changed
People are lying and appear deranged
I wonder when people fell asleep
When they stopped making choices and became like sheep
Wake up wake up I want to say
It’s a time for work not a time for play
Things are urgently needing our attention right now
There are things in this world we can’t allow
Look at the ones who are making the choices
The laws are crazy lift up your voices
What do you want what will you say
We can’t wait for tomorrow this is the day
To get involved in this scheme of life
You can’t complain and remain a low life
Rise up to the cause rise up to be true
The only one that can change the world is you

Mask and vaccine what’s the take
Looks like the world now needs a break
Everything was closed down tight
We called out government with all our might
It’s hard to understand what this is about
We scream and yell and some of us pout
We hold marches and drive to the capital city
The Americans joined in, now that’s a pity
We just want our freedom, ability to choose
If we’re all corralled in then all of us loose
Vaccine and mask should be a choice
And yet we punish those who have a voice
I’m getting older and wiser than most
That is the reason for this post
The more rules the harder it is to be real
It’s not appropriate to make us heel
So rule makers listen we want you to hear
The end of the world could possibly be near
The rule that we need, the most important of all
Is to be gentle with others and heed the call
Of a higher power, the creator of all
If we could only listen we wouldn’t feel small
Be kind to others; treat all as your own
Step gently on the earth and set the tone
Set the inner boundaries that make you true
To yourself be authentic and be your best you
