Spit wads stick in my hair

The fun stopped for me a long time ago

We were childhood friends
Laughed
Played
Told jokes
The many fun times we had



But your family moved
We could not hang out like we used to
Climbing trees
building forts
or just talking



Then my family moved to another state
We wrote each other from time to time
But you know how things go



You were my friend
My partner in crime
Best buds to the end
