Wonderful words of life
Tony Anderson Jan 2019
Lord
Your teachings are beautiful
Honest and true
Teach me to hear your call
And we I do
May I answer that call
With a full hear, mind, and spirit

Lord
May your words
Reach into my soul
May they change me
From the person I once was
Into the person you need me to be

The Street Preacher
Tony Anderson Jan 2019
There at the street corner he stands
With Bible in hand he preaches
He preaches God's word for all to hear
For anyone with a listening ear

His clothes are
Tatered
*****
Worn
He has been cut by life's thorns

He looks
Weak
Hungry
Worn out
Like a fighter about to be knocked out

Still he preaches
God's salvation
God's mighty plan
Trying to help one and all understand

Sure he looks like something
Someone has thrown out
His love for God is strong
Of that there is no doubt

He's been arrested
He's been locked away
As soon as they let him out
He finds another street corner
And starts preaching away

They've
Beat him
Threatened him
Cops have tried sending him away
Nothing they've tried has worked
He just preaches away

The city has tried
Many times
With laws to confine him
None of them worked
For it's God's power
That defines him

He knows up in Heaven
He'll be homeless no more
His words will then echo
Out forevermore

So next time you see a street preacher
Don't turn away
For it maybe worth
Hearing what they have to say

Prayer
Tony Anderson Jan 2019
Jesus
Lord
King
My everything

I come to worship and praise
To glorify you
To bring you honor
May I don't right in your sight

My life is yours
Mold it
Shape it
Construct
Me mentally, physically, and spiritually
For the task you have
For my life

Jesus
Wssh me clean
Remove all impurities
Remove
All that gets in the way of living for you
Like the ocean's tide
May your Spirit
Drag away all that is
Unworthy and unholy

Lord
Transform me
Rebuild me
Reshape me
According to thy will

Energize me
Set me on fire
So that I may reach out
To others
And
Bring them home to you
Bring them into the fold

Every step forward
Tony Anderson Jan 2019
Every step forward
Closer to my goal
Every step forward
Onward I go

I know it's a long journey
To reach that which I seak
Pushing me to the limits
Mentally
Physically
Emotionally
I know there will be scars
Both seen and unseen
But if I give up now
I will never reach my dream

Every step forward
Though the path
Grows rough at times
Though if I keep my focus
All will end up fine

Sitting on the front porch in the evening shade,
strumming on a flattop guitar that was made
to play along with a country song
about a sad heart who was done wrong.

Old Shep beats his tail to the tune,
enjoying the breeze and the croon
of the melodic voice which fills the air,
encouraging the birds to sing with flair.

Friendly neighbors stop by to listen with glee
to the one-man show which is free,
there isn't anything he can't play,
taking all requests on any day.

Favorites are heard and the group is a part
of the dusk-like entertainment considered art,
joining together with voices raised  high,
taking a walk down memory lane with a sigh.

Sitting on the front porch in the evening shade
is a summertime thought that will not fade,
singing along with the guitar,
making sounds in unison near and far.

Broken Family
Tony Anderson Dec 2018
I'm not a man.
Just a boy.
What could I possibly understand?
What is there left to enjoy?
My memories will continue to carry on.
Just as long as you can stay strong.
I thought I had a family.
My eyes opened up, I see the reality.
This is a heart broken tragedy.
Please, just save me from my tragedy.
I can't just run away.
I'm stuck. Forced here to stay.
Bury me with all of my remains.
For even after death I'll still live with this pain.
So tell me then, what of me will truly remain?...

JR. High Dance
Tony Anderson Dec 2018
There she stood at the far end of the gym
Red dress
A blue sash around her waist tied in a bow in the back
Blond hair in a ponytail
The biggest and brightest blues eyes
Focused on me

I stood at the entrance
Black slacks
Black dress shoes
White dress shirt
An awkward jr. high student
Nervous to

Our eyes met
We crossed the floor to each other
Hugged
Then stepped on to the dance floor

She glided along the floor
Like gravity could not touch her
I on the other hand
Stumbling
Clumsy
Oaf
She did not seem to notice
Nor seem to care

We danced a little
Had refreshments
Sat on the bleachers and talked a little

After the dance
We held hands and walked to the front of the school
Where our parents were waiting

We hugged once more
said we'd see each other in class on Monday
Then departed to our parent's cars
And went home

I am dragon rider
I fly through the air
Upon the back of my winged serpent

I am dragon rider
Together we seek out
To destroy our foe
To bring justice to the unjust
To right the wrongs
done by evil people

I am dragon rider
When my winged friend and I
take to the sky
Evil can run
But it can ot hide
We will find it
And when we do
We will deal with it

So evil doers
Watch out
Dragon rider is coming
Justice will be served

Die
I want to die
To slit my throat
And end it all

There is nothing left
My life has been shattered
My life is in a heap
Of burning rubble

I want to die
To spare others of my meaningless existence

This tortured soul
Yerns to be freed from
This shell of human skin

I want to die
I feel
Alone
Scared
Depressed
All is dark and dreary

I want to die

You don't know the emotionl whirlwind

WORDS OF GLORY
Tony Anderson Dec 2018
Woke up this morning
Raised my weary head
A knapsack for my pillow
A park bench for my bed
There’s a police man yelling at me
names running through my head
I’m a man on a mission
Preaching out salvation
With my Bible in my hand

I was born into this word with a mission and a plan
Preaching out the good word across this barren land
I know the task will not be easy but with the lord I’ll take my stand
Preaching about Jesus and the devil, about Cain and Able, and about the promise land

I’m preaching out your words of glory
Saving lives with the truth
I’m preaching out your words of glory
You sent your son to die for me so now I give my life to you

As I walk across the world and see the soulless sin of men
I pray the lord’s forgiveness will be placed upon their heads
I pray for my own forgiveness for I to am a sinful man
For I’ve seen God’s glory that he sent to me to help me change my ways

I’m preaching out your words of glory
Saving lives with the truth
I’m preaching out your words of glory
You sent your son to die for me, so now I give my life to you

As I lie down at night
I pray the Lord my soul to keep
I pray forgiveness for everyone that I meet
Lord I have to ask a favor and I hope you understand
For I’ve lived life to the fullest as a boy and I want to die like a man
Starring down the devil let me make my stand

So he can be shot down
with your words of glory
saving lives with the truth
I’m preaching out your words of glory
You sent your son to die for me
So now I give my life to you
