Our standard so low why has become

High very was our dedication n fervour

Sacrifices readily we gave , most willingly

To  achieve  Independence was a task easy not,  

Dedication n a  burning desire it required

Oh my heart,

झुका हुआ है शर्म से, आज हर शीश

आज दुख और शर्म से झुक गया है, हर भारतीय का शीश ।

पाकिस्तान क्यों पैदा किया गया, इस बात की है रंजिश ।

कब तक रहेंगे चुप; कब तक करेंगे शांति रखने की कोशिश ।

ऐसे तो मै हूं शांतिप्रिय; पर अब मा को चढ़ाने पड़ेंगे शीश ।

दुश्मन हमें कमज़ोर  समझता है, इस बात की है रंजिश ।

याद रहे, यहां प्रताप, शिवाजी बस्ते थे, कभी झुके न जीनके शीश

रानी लक्ष्मीबाई  थी बहादुरी की मिसाल, न्योछावर किए थे प्राण ।

वीर भगत सिंह ने भी हस्ते हुए त्यागे थे अपने प्राण ।

आज साम मानेकशॉ कि लगती हैं कमी, झुक ने न देते भारत माता का शीश

हमने अब तक क्यों चूड़ियां  पेहन रखी है, इस बात की है रंजिश ।

हर आत्मा है जख्मी, आत्मसम्मान है खंडित; उठाओ अपना शीश

चलो मिल कर करें, मुंहतोड़ जवाब देने की कोशिश ।

आत्मा पर न रहे बोज, दिल में भर दो जोश, उठाओ अपना शीश ।

आज छेड़ दी है मैंने, आत्मसम्मान में यह, बिना राग कि, बंदिश ।

A WRITER'S DILEMMA

Poetry and literature are not for masses; know this we.

Then why at our lost efforts, sad or dejected feel we !

Easy it is not for masses to this digest, absorb or assimilate.

Yet, when poor is the response, blame we, our luck or fate.

Remember our lot must, that a Shakespeare everyone become cannot.

Try to become a Wordsworth or Lord Tennyson we should not.

Let's hope our readers, the classes admire our work.

Be it success or be it failure,  our work we shouldn't shirk.

PATHS

Paths in our lives differ,  they are varied, so very many;

Each of us  has a path different, zig-zag, some straight, few even uncanny

some souls live a life mundane, some exciting and  very adventurous;

Depending on how one marches onward, how one goes ahead n ventures.

Journeys often rough are, very few are picture perfect or  fine;

But we are on our way to a destination single; that is to merge with the divine.

O how very  easy it is for us, to others criticize;

Without thinking, how them it will traumatize.

On words ours, before uttering them, beg you I, to emphasize.

For just a moment think, how your tongue you should utilize !!!

Before ill we speak about another, lets please contemplate;

Words bitter once spoken; a permanent wound create.

Amends made by us thereafter are a total waste;

Does it make any sense to sorry say to a dead man, you killed in haste ???

Asked me, my Lil girl, "when wise will I become".
Told her I, "easy it is not, wait for time some.
Darling, difference there is between knowledge n wisdom.
To many, even after years, wisdom doesn't easily come."

Hear n listen we all can, but understand only some.
See objects we all, but only see its meaning deep, some.
Intelligent if you are, knowledge, to you may easily come;
But understanding n wisdom comes only to some.

Patience, calmness, perseverance, a vision wide needs one; n when to keep mum.
The wise swear or smoke not; gluttony is a no; drink do not they ***.
Learn to overcome you must, greed, pride, ego, anger, selfishness some.
Stay unperturbed n calm in circumstances all; that will make you wise n awesome.

उपवन

ओ ऊपरवाले, संगीत चाहा, तो है यहां कोलाहल;

नदियां, झील चाहे तो गरीबों को नसीब, नहीं है पीने का जल

हरियाली, फूल, फल चाहे तो मिले कंक्रीट के भद्दे से जंगल

तु ही बता, इंसान कैसे मनाए यहां अब इस धारा पे मंगल ???

ऐसे तो कुसूर तेरा नहीं कोई, हम इंसानों ने ही उजाड़ दिया यह स्थल;

और अब मांगते है तुझसे मंगल, छलोछल नदियां, हरियालि से भरे उपवन

IMPRISONED

In the beautiful blue skies I used to independently fly;

For me to travel all around; limitless was the sky.

Then suddenly, into a cage I was put in, by a wicked man.

You humans, this dastardly act, must immediately ban.

To make money quick, he clipped off my beautiful wings

Then proudly showed me around n says hear how she sings.

Oh man, I ask you, how would feel you, if put in a jail

I am sure you would put up a fight or painfully cry and wail.

Imprison us do not, just for a quick buck; instead us protect.

Trees are our homes, do not them chop; keep them intact.

Let us with joy soar in the open skies n on trees nest.

Our creator has made us for the skies, n He undoubtedly is the best.

HELP THEM

Alas so very difficult it is to understand a human mind.

In his thinking ,  words n actions coordination we may not find.

Look he may, or even to talk to, sound pretty normal;

But actually, in reality he may be weird or absolutely abnormal.

This revealed is, in circumstances awkward or different.

His reactions so unpredictable can be, revealing in his personality, a dent.

Portray they may an accident as a ******, and an issue create.

Such behaviour insane, change can, an innocent person's fate.

Scary can be this behaviour, throwing others out of gear.

This is what a  person is afraid of, it creates a sort of panic or fear .

Pray I to Ahura, to grant us a normal mind with virtues n wisdom;

So that away we can keep from such humans; distance safe some.

Save us from these  humans, sort of insane or unpredictable.

Because unfortunately, of sanity, these humans do not carry a label.

Guard the world from these people emotionally sick who are unfortunate.

Do this please O Lord, help them before it is too late.

CHILDHOOD

Wonderful were those days of childhood.

Do so many wonderful things we could.

Visiting grandparents, enjoy tremendously we would.

Have a childhood like ours, everyone perhaps should !!

Right from the very day school closed, visit them we would.

Pampered n spoiled we were with love, cuddling n great food.

Picnics there were plenty; to beaches, river banks go we would.

Picnic lunches were awesome dry, often fried or baked food.

Hiking, hitchhiking, cycling, n even in trucks, travel we would.

Unfortunately today's kids, an opportunity get do not, which was so very good.

Wish their Aunts, Uncles, cousins know closely they would.

Joint families afford these luxuries, easily could.

Wish those wonderful days of childhood, come back would.

FRIENDS

Indeed lucky we are, if in life, we have true friends

A few are lucky to have the same friend, at every bend.

Otherwise most people make, good fair weather friends;

Who are great to party-sharty but in crisis, their friendship ends.

Some are silent snakes in the grass, beware; poison they spew.

Some are jealous but stick to you, to obtain benefits which are to you, due.

It's always good to have loving, caring helpful ones, in numbers few.

Lucky we are, if we have God sent friends; different may be their hue .

A journey unknown, is this life; please keep me prepared for the strife

Walk one has to blindfolded, on the edge of a sharp sword or knife

Each step, each moment, everyday, always, there is a lesson new

Scares me always the unknown, but help me with the initial steps few.

Unpleasant things, situations, people, cross often our life's path

Help me O Ahura to face these gratefully; like cleansing after a bath.

This journey I know, very rough n tough is, help me to take it in my stride.

ચાલ્યો ગયો

તડપ મારી કોણે કહું ઓ  મારા કાન્હા, મારા ઘનશ્યામ

પ્રેમ અગ્નિ લગાડી, જાણે ક્યાં તું ખોવાઈ ગયો,

વાંસળી ની તાન મીઠી સંભળાવી તું તો વહ્યો ગયો

વિચાર્યું નહીં મારું; તારી ધુન માં ઉલઝાવી, તું તો ચાલ્યો ગયો

સુર તારા, આજે બી રેલાય છે ઓ ઘનશ્યામ, મારા કાનોમાં.

તને સંબોધી, ચાંદ સાથે કરું વાતો; શું પહોંચે છે તને ???

શું તે કર્યો હતો પ્રેમ મને; શું આવે છે કદી યાદ મારી તને ???

રાધા નું શું થશે તારા વિના; વિચાર આં આવ્યો છે કદી તને ???

સંજાણ કરે પુકાર

રહો નહિ અને રાખો નહિ તમારા છોકરાંઓને ધરમ જ્ઞાનથી અંજાન;

છોકરાંઓને પારસી ઇતિહાસથી કરવા વાકેફ લઈ જાઓ એમને સંજાણ

અહીં આપના વડવાઓએ કરી અથાગ પરિશ્રમ, રેડ્યો હતો એમનો જાન-પ્રાણ

વસાવી હતી એમને ફરી એકવાર દુનિયા, વધારી હતી પાછી આન બાન શાન.

મેહનત કરી, સ્થાપ્યું જગમાં ફરી એકવાર પારસીઓ નું નામ, આપી અનેક જાતના દાન

આવા જ્વલંત ઇતિહાસ ને પાછો દોહરાવી, દિલો જાનથી આપણેબી આપીએ યોગદાન.

ઘર ઘર ગવાય પારસીઓ ની ગૌરવ ગાથા, પ્રેમથી ઝૂકે માથા, આપે સૌ માન.

When low and depressed I feel, about another person's  behaviour ;

Think I , can a Rose bloom without thorns ? wouldn't that be nature's mistake severe?

If ponder over this I and accept with grace, this grave and bitter fact ;

This immediately helps me to accept that person as a whole, not a version perfect.

Of course the hurt, the emotional trauma persist will; it won't go away;

But the acceptance easier becomes. Believe me, that's a good way.

Besides, there are always people who are uncouth, mean and unkind.

If get along with them you simply cannot or with them you cannot gel or bind;

Because these are matters emotional, not of mind but of heart;

Slowly let go of those relationships; but please amicably part.

Nature perhaps helps me heal, if my outlook I change and improve will.

So here I am, trying hard to heal, overcome n my outlook change after going through this drill.

હે  માનવ,

તારી છાતી પર બાંધી લઈ જવાનો નથી કશું તું,  રાખજે સદા એટલું યાદ.

રાખશે જો યાદ, અને કરશે ભેગી, ખરી મહેનતની કમાઇ, તો થશે તું આબાદ;

પચતી નથી કોઈ ને બી, કમાણી બેઇમાનિની , થઈ જાય છે એવો માનવ બરબાદ;

સાંભળજે સદા તારા અંતર આત્મા નો અવાજ, તટોલશે તો સંભળાશે તને એનો સાધ.

દૌલત શૌહરત સાચી હોવી જરુરી છે, વેચાતી એને લેતો ના; સાંભળી એ નાનો સાધ, થશે તું  આબાદ.

બની શકે તો કરજે  ભલાઇના બે કામ, ખુદા બેઠો છે આપવા અંજામ, કરતો રહેજે ખુદા દાદ.

अपनेही कांटे चूभाते हैं, चहुं ओर से, प्यारो

कब तक सबको जिताते रहो, और कब तक खुद हारो

ये हार जीत की बाजिसे तंग हो गए हैं हम, यारो

   बस अब तो जाना है उसपार; बुलावा भेजो, ओ सितारों ।

ऐसा जीवन भी क्या जीवन, जो लगे एक बोझ

हमेशा मन ही मन करते रहो अफसोस

तिल तिल मरते रहो हरदम, हर  रोज़

गरीबकी किसी को न पड़ी है, न पड़ेगी;

उसका जीवन हमेशा बना रहेगा एक अनचाहा बोज

इस भरी दुनियां में मिला न सच्चा दिल्सोज

चांद जाने कहां खो गया

जाग उठा आज फिर से एक बार , वो प्यार जो था सोया

आज  बादलों की ओट में, चांद, न जाने कहां जाके है खोया

बरसात बन के आंसु बह रहे हैं, कोई न जान पाया,  मै चांदनीमें चुपचाप रोया

दिलने पूछा, "क्या तू कभी उसे भुला था; कैसे कहता है तेरा प्यार है सोया?"

दिमाग ने कहा, "चांद मिलता नही सबको, चांद जाने कहां है खोया"

दिल ने ज़ूम के सुनाया, "चांद भले दूर हो, उसे मैंने सपनोमें है संजोया "

चांद की चांदनी ही काफी है, बस उसमे डूब कर मै हूं सोया ";

"अपने दिल का दर्द मैंने है छुपाया, अपने आंसुओ में ही उसे है डुबोया ।

A Girl child's question..  WHERE DO I BELONG?

Fathers, temporarily their daughters keep ; they really to their husbands home belong.

A second-citizen she is, who with her family of birth, won't be staying too long.

But alas it is she who dearly loves them, having emotional attachments strong.

Strangely after marriage, husbands call her paternal home as her home.

Making sure, claims she does not any rights, on his home.

Confused totally now she is, where does she belong ; which is her real home.

After years many of toil, thinks she, she has now settled in her own abode
When suddenly daughters in law, and her own sons her wounds erode ;

They wish to leave her in a home for the aged ; may be  not really on the road!!!

As older I get, only happppppinesss n peace I wish;

Comfort n good health served on a silver dish.

No noise, no drama, no nagging no sarcasm I  want

બિચારો ગરીબ

કડવી છે આં હકિકત, સાચેજ આં દુનિયા માં, કોઇ નથી બિચારા ગરીબનું

ખુરસી, સત્તાના મોહમાં, પૈસાની હોડ માં, કોણ જુવે છે ભલુ, બિચારા  એક ગરીબનું

નથી પ્રધાનોને પડી, ન ટ્રસ્ટીઓને, ન અધિકારીઓને છે , એની કદર  સાચી

એમને લીધે તો ગરીબ પ્રજા છે વોટ બેંક માટે સર્જાઇ, આં છે હકિકત સાચી

બિચારી એ પ્રજા કચડાઇ, છુંદાઇ અને વોટો માંગવા માટે હમેશાં છે ચર્ચાઇ;

એને અભણ રાખી, ગરીબ રાખી, એની ગરીબી વોટ માટે હમેશાં છે  વપરાઇ

થોડા પૈસા ફેંકવા ને  બદલે, જો શિખવિયો હતે એમને, કોઇ વ્યવસાય;

વ્યાજબી શિક્ષણ આપતે એમને , તો જ  થતે એમને, એક સાચી  સહાય.

વર્ણ કે ભાગલા પાડવાથી નથી થયું, ન થશે કોઈનું બી ભલું, એ જાણીયે છીએ બધા

આમ બી, આજે  પારસીઓ તો થઈ ગયા છે અર્ધા; તો બી લડ ઝગડ કરે છે બધા.

જો એક્તા રાખી કરીયે ગરીબનું,  કોમનું, સમાજનું, દેશનું ભલું, તો રાજી થશે ભગવાન

અને ઓ નેતાઓ, ઉધિયોગપતિઓ, સેથીયાઓ, તમારુ જ વધશે  માન સનમાન.

બિચારી મીરાં ને ક્યાં મળ્યો એનો મન ચહ્યો વર

આમ કંઈ મળતા હશે આપણને ગિરિધર !

મીરાં ને તો કાયમ સતાવતો હતો રાણાજીનો ડર;

તો પણ એ ભજન ગાતી હતી ગલી ગલી, ઘર ઘર;

ભાન ન રહેતું એને જગ્યા નું, ન ખયાલ હતો પ્રહર (નો)

બસ પામવા માંગતી હતી એ ગિરિધરને, માનતી હતી એને જ વર

મીરાં ને પામવો હતો ગિરિધર, જે હતો એનો મન ચાહ્યો વર.

To all my teachers; please accept my respect n "pranaam"

I am what I am because of you respected ones; your sincere guidance n training's "anjaam"

Nurgesh Aunty, If it were not for you n your colleagues, I would've been an ordinary "naam"

My parents, my Aunt's n Uncles, all my teachers, please accept my gratitude

I thank my friend, philosopher n guide Ramiyar, n Rhoda Aunty for increasing my fortitude

LIFE'S BITTER TRUTHS

Bitter, horrifying truth and facts of life, learn we, the hard way.

Learn we, almost always, after people with words or acts, us flay.

Earlier with our loved ones, happy we were on the same comfy perch.

Situation painful is when your own, your feelings hurt; n leave you in the lurch.

This least expected is, n shock n pain your heart into fragments tears apart.

Why this we ask the Almighty, when our family we so much loved, with all our heart?

Realize we do not that money, position, property is the root cause;

Had you been rich, powerful or useful, v willingly they would, you house.

Shocked you are   suddenly, when these dear ones turn abrupt, insulting n curt

But accept we must the realities of life, with grace , no matter how much these bitters facts hurt.

Remember we have to; It's only you and the Almighty that are one.

With others once you are useless, with you they are done!!!

તારી લીલા

વાંકા ચૂકા છે જીવનના આં રસ્તા, નથી એ જરાયે સરળ

સમજાય નહિ તારી લીલા, તું તો કીચડ માં ઊઘડે કમળ

બદમાશો રાજ કરે અને સાચા માનવ થાય હેરાન પરેશાન

કરે એ, ઝુલમ અને અત્યાચાર; કરે એ બધાને હેરાન

ગરીબ માનવ, ખેડૂત, મજુર, મેહનત કર્યે, ભૂખ્યો રહે ;

જોડે પાઈ પાઈ , તડકો છાયોં, અનેક દુઃખો સહે;

જીવતા જીવત થોડો થોડો મરે બિચારો એ,  રોજ રોજ;

જ્યારે ગુંડાઓ ઐશો આરામ કરે અને ઉડાવે મૌજ.

આં તે કેવી તારી લીલા, ખેલ તારા સાઉ નિરાળા ,

મુજ અબૂધ ને સમજ નહિ આવે; વાદળ ઘેરાય છે જીવનમાં કાળા

જોઉં છું હું તારી તરફ પ્રશ્ર્ન કરી , આકાશમાં નીલા ;

ગુચવાઉં હું , અકળાઉ હું, સમજાવ મને તારી લીલા;

उडू हवा में, बन के एक बादल
कहीं खुशी से हो जाऊ न मैं पागल ।

मुस्कुराऊं देख के दर्पण या झिल
मानो, मिल गई है आज मुझे अपनी मंज़िल।

खुला है आकाश, जागी है एक आश;
बनके पंछी, उड़नेकी जागी है आज प्यास ।

पिया का आया है आज पैग़ाम, एक खत;
लिखा है कया उसने, मुझे पूछना मत ।

इस खत में, एकसाथ मेरा है और उनका भी है नाम
और चाहूं मै क्या, मेरे लिए, अनमोल है इसका दाम ।

यह सब मै, अपने पिया को लिख न पाऊ;
इसी लिए, कोकिला बन के, सुरीला गीत गऊ ।

सुन लेना पिया मेरी आवाज़, मेरा मधुर यह गीत ।
बस इसी में है मेरे प्यार की, मेरी प्रीत की जीत ।

જુગ જુગ જીવજો, ઓ અહુરા પુત્ર મહાન

અને રોશન કરજો આં દુઃખમાં ડૂબેલું સારું જેહાન.

આજના સમય માં અહરેમાને વર્તાવ્યો છે કેહેર કાળો ;

છે કોમ ગેહરી મુસીબતમાં, તમે એને  સંભાળો

રૂહાની તાકત છે તમારી મહાન; આં તાકત અજમાવો.

આં કઠણ સમયમાં કરવા મદદ જલ્દી પધારો, આવો.

ભૂલી રહ્યાં છીએ અમે વડવાઓ ની શિખામણ

એટલેજ ફેલાવી રહ્યો છે જેહરિલા નાગ એમના ભયંકર ફણ

કરો દોરવણી કોમની, રાખો અમને  પનાહ્માં તમારી

સાંભળો અમારો પુકાર,  અમારી દર્દ ભરી આહ ;

આવીને કરો દોરવણી કોમની ઓ શાહો ના શાહ, ઇરાનશાહ.

ચંન્દ્ર ખીલશે આજ રાત, તારાઓ સંગ આવશે એની બારાત

પણ મારો ચાંદ દેખાશે નહિ મને; એકલી રાહ નિહારિશ આખી રાત

ઓ ચાંદ, કહેજે મારા ચાંદને, એ દર્શન આપે મને, સોહામણી છે રાત

વાટકી ચાંદીની લઈ, દૂધ પૌંઆ સાથે રાહ નિહારિશ એની, આજ  રાત.

આવશે જયારે એ, ફૂલોની વર્ષા કરીશ; મહેકશે આખો જમુના ઘાટ

નૈનો બંધ રાખી, પ્રીતમનું સ્વાગત કરીશ દિલથિ, પકડી એમનો હાથ

નૈનો બિછાવી રાહમાં  પ્રીતમ, જોવું છું કાગ ડોળે હું તારી વાટ

MISS YOU'LL I DO

M om Dad miss you all very much, I do.
But there is very little I can do, except rue.
Life so cosy n comfortable was, with your arms around me.
Strong n safe roots I had n protection of a huge tree.
I miss you all tremendously.
All the children now without parents, will share my feelings unanimously.

Nothing in World is bigger than the Shelter of Parent's love...!!!

Humans are almost becoming heartless,

Our minds active may be, filled with cleverness;

But in us, these days there is too much of selfishness.

Lost are those beautiful values n principles of yore.

Hence need we to peep within; into the core.

Let's try to overcome our weaknesses n of values, increase our score.

When did I last laugh heartily ?

I don't really remember, he thought to himself.

It's been a while, "I must make an attempt to do so".

So out he went, to find a reason to laugh at.

Searched he ardently, but he felt sad n  like crying;

Saw he trouble, poverty, helplessness, all around.

Came back he, thinking, what is the purpose of life ?

But even after contemplation, found he, no answer.

Now bothered he wasn't to laugh; he wanted to, this reason seek.

So again he went; saw he pain n suffering again .

Said he, "God, I know you won't share Your secrets;  but please keep me sane".

Temperatures are rising, summer is almost at the door

This heat scorching is going to create an uproar.

To water provide to animals n birds, put a basin on the floor.

Bless you they will, from their heart's core.

Imagine yourself craving for water, in the heat; your throat sore.

Just a little effort and animals n birds of thirst, will die no more.

EASTER EGGS

Come EASTER, and  see we, beautiful baskets filled with chocolate bunnies n Easter eggs all over the place

A beginning new, an era commenced; sprang new life from eggs, and cute chicks replace

Clue, I have none, how n why this practise did start, but all I can think is, it does bring in spring

Wishing the world a peaceful HAPPY EASTER,  may this Easter heal us; n in our lives, spring bring.

May our Easter baskets, along with bunnies n eggs, filled be with love, compassion, and peace.

May this beautiful world stay clean, green, serene, and most importantly,  united, in one piece

BRANDY'S ROYAL RESORT

Our Brandy, our puppy, our lil imp, so very docile and innocent looks, at the first glance

But sneaks in she does very quietly into the washroom, whenever she gets a chance

Enjoying a shower, drinking water alongside; then to dry up, she does a shake (off) dance.

Our washroom is her territory,  her mansion, her resort; if around n someone is in, she loudly does bark.

Into it, she quickly glides, rather darts, even pushing us in the bargain; just like a little ferocious shark

Equally possessive she is about her bed; running behind kids, when they try to make it; once it's dark

BRANDU, OUR ANGEL *** IMP, WE LOVE YOU.

Depends on that, what you gain or lose.

It's you who will either **** or be patient with the goose.

The head or the heart, whom will you choose ?

BOOMERANG

To it's sender, it's user, it returns back.

Escape there is none, it does it's own creator hack.

Faithful like a dog it is, who his tail at his owner does wag.

Carries with it, it always does, it's owner's tag.

A boomerang, it's owner's address, without trouble, find can.

Boomerang is our karma, from it, runaway you just cannot.

Once an act performed, in its web, you are for ever caught.

Fight your karma, please do not. Instead, just surrender.

willingly, your punishment bear; keeping your heart tender.

When accept  we the consequences; things easier become.

To endure pain or pleasure, God grants us strength some.
