જ્યારે જ્યારે, અમી ને બદલે, વાગ બાણ વરસે છે.
શબ્દો, બાણ કરતાં પણ છે વધુ ઘાતક, ભયાનક.
માનવ તૂટી જાય છે, ક ટુ-વચન સાંભળી, અચાનક.
અપશબ્દો થી દિલ નો, મન નો દીવો બુઝઈ જાય.
જ્યારે, મીઠા બે બોલ સાંભળી, ઘવાયલું હૈયું રૂઝાય.
ફરી પ્રકાશિત થઇ ઉઠે હૃદય, દિલ નો દીવો ઝળહળી ઊઠે.

This cute little Daku, our Taku, is shiny, jet black, slim, lithe and swift too

If she wants to cuddle, hug and shower her love, seriously, God help you!

And if annoyed or irritated, we may have to warn the guy, "run, run, God save you "

Shoes, chappals, my colours, paint brushes etc. when destroyed, I often rue;

Besides her mischief, this little Daku, very sensitive is; even tries to talk to you.

Her love extremely genuine is, n is straight from the heart, warm n true.

SELF  PITY

Sometimes, when blue I feel; in self pity to wallow, I too like.

Know this I;  it is not correct to develop such a  psyche;

But helpless and hapless when I do feel,  scream I wish to on a  mike!

Patience,  trust,  prayers,  seem to fail; faith waivers; and most  importantly, you are not there.

Not there for me to cry upon, neither your shoulder nor lap are there;

Support I have none, neither does anyone for a self pitying person care!

Someone, once said, " I will just remember 12Jan, you remember the rest".
He actually put my memory to test, which for him was the deal best.

Sadly now, all birthdays n even this date he has forgotten;
Now, remembers he, not even me; the idea turned rotten.

Wonder I, in this way, how can someone so easily relations, sever.
Just because they are scared, or dominated by someone shrewd n clever ?

Sad it is, that relations beautiful are ruthlessly put to an ugly end.
For some selfish reasons, destroyed they are. How can you, your dear ones offend ?

BOTTLING UP BITTERNESS

How much can one bottle up bitterness, just easy this is not;

In the web of depression, one shouldn't ever be caught.

How does one get rid of this bottled up bitterness n pent up anger ?

Ah ! burst one day this anger will, after all, one is human not a store house of anger.

This bottled up stuff leads to depression, hypertension or disease of the heart

Then poor you, become you will, of these complications an unavoidable part.

So bottle your emotions do not, I tell myself, pour them out in ways some

I write them out, paint or sing them away; but some desperados take to ***.

If none of these help, just a kind shoulder seek n cry your heart out.

After you left for your heavenly home Vispi, of crying, I get an urge, a big bout

Come in memories, like a cascade of water, a huge, violent water fall gushing

Even if try I to stop them, with a smile fake;  these tears just come rushing

Bottled up emotions, becoming dangerous are, heart, body, mind n soul they affect

And more often than not, excruciating, long lasting n permanent are its effects.

Of joy great, you two are my bundle.
You both, I love to kiss and cuddle.
That's the place, where I don't like any hurdle.

Love I do to become your pillow instead;
When, on my tummy, you rest your head.
Enjoy this shortage of space, I actually do, on the bed.

Love, always in the heart, seeks a space.
Around the heart, weaves it, a delicate lace.
Then, inside the heart, it settles, with Ahura's grace.

LOVE'S BRIGHT LIGHT

A man tall, black n handsome, fell in love with a girl white

He followed her all around and wouldn't let her out of his sight

The girl too attracted was towards him, specially his eyes bright

Soon in passionate love they were; n love culminated at its height

A beautiful baby born was, but like the father black with eyes bright

Her mother love her could not; she couldn't even stand her sight

Though her dad loved her, he couldn't stand those daily fights

Soon he left home; a thread separated was from a flying kite

She lay hungry, *****, wailing, crying for milk; pitiable was her plight

Lorn n neglected she grew up, all alone in an orphanage, under supervision tight

Working n studying hard shone out she; powerful like the Sun, a shining, shimmering star bright

Built a home beautiful for herself she did, besides a lake, on a hillock; grand was that site

Name n fame she had now; hence to inaugurate a home for the aged, came an invite

When with applause greeted she was, a frail old figure came to sight

Her heart went out to the elderly lady; so she gave her a hug tight

Spontaneously she knew this was someone her own; n she was right

For the elderly lady was her mother own, who had left her to her plight

Recognised her she through feelings, as if through an insight

The kind girl, in her arms held the figure frail, taking her home that night

"Love me you didn't Mom, but all my life I yearned for my parents, praying with all my might"

Tears streamed down from her mother's pale cheeks, as she held her tight

Relieved they both felt; love is truly beautiful, love is a shining bright light.

A common man is mostly interested in living a happy peaceful life.

Fed up he is with this, never  ending,  continuous day to day strife

Over worked he is and drained off, by the taxes he has to pay.

But the poor man,  in any such matter, sadly doesn't have a say.

Taxed heavily,  directly and indirectly by these taxes, crushed he is.

The helpless elders, after slogging all life long,  cannot live in peace.

Unfortunately the government or  religious heads bothered aren't about his life or him.

Scope of his happiness has  diminished; it's rather dying ! almost dim.

Request I these politicians, so called religious leaders to look within ;

Karma,  does not leave anyone, we all pay back have to,  for every sin.

Therefore peep within,  awaken your almost  comatosed conscience.

Stir up, fight the devil,  let us people; the  common man live in peace with confidence.

Oh Lord kind, tell me please, why are we born?
Why do you send us to Earth, to feel forlorn
Why do we have to struggle life long, tattered n torn.
For life drudgery is everyday, from morn.
Hunt n struggle one has to, for his corn.
People are out to cheat, decive n con.
Rich have plenty, yet wear jeans torn;
And the poor have clothes not, hence are in clothes torn.

Only if financially rich n influencial I would be,
Grow gardens huge I would, with many a tree.
Lush green lawns with flower beds many;
Roses, carnations, jasmine n yet some uncanny.

Trees filled with fruits many, mango,Chikoo ,
apple;
so that people could eat them easily in ample.
Birds, bees could there, easily nest;
Men tired, in their shade could avail rest.

Fresh vegetables in plenty, available would be;
Surely, there would be no constraints of lock or key.
No child world over, hungry would ever go;
For many million seeds I would surely sow.

Our beautiful planet blue; would also have some green.
Most importantly , the oxygen filled air, would be clean.

A spec of dust or a grain of sand,  or perhaps a drop of water, in this universe,  created by mighty Mazda

Wish I to know why, then, we men ordinary,  mere mortals, think so much, n so high about ourselves?

Why do even scholars great, learned men like Ravan fail? How do we correct or control ourselves ?

Why do we have an ego so inflated, when we are, just a bubble? Why in this mere mortal does ego dwell ?

Like a flooded, destructive river or sometimes even like a huge mighty tsunami wave, it does swell

O kind  Lord, help this mere mortal, to this ego problem understand; where stands this thin line between ego n self respect?

Confused, entangled into my own web I get; a mere mortal, my own decision,  I  sometimes suspect.

Sadly seeds of discord in our life are often sown

And worse still, the ones who sow them are often our own

Why do they do so; upon this topic, I ponder and moan.

Lord Ram, to "vanvaas" was sent by Kaikei, who he thought was his own.

Krishna's mother was tortured, by her bro as in her womb he was sworn

Jealousy, ego, suspicion, hatred,  within us is often bottled up n by us grown

These vices create anger n a person is often by it, to pieces torn.

Remember if jealousy n suspicion us rule, a dangerous garb we have worn.

Discard these let us, from within us; n have love n understanding sown.

Thank you for being our Dad.
We are indeed lucky n I have no words to thank Mom n you.

God bless the gentleman who told us this; you being so unassuming, never did tell us this.

A gentleman knocked at Kashu's cabin asking her if he could come in. When in, he asked her if she was related to Mr K M Motashaw, when she said yes, he was my father in law, he said he held great respect for you and told her this.
When you were in court, a Justice entered n on seeing you bowed n greeted you, before the case began. This gentleman said, they were all taken aback.

We were aware that the judges knew you never took up cases, where the industrialists were in the wrong, but this was great !

I thank Ahura, for granting such wonderful parents unto us.
May He bless you both and keep you both under His wings.

The Brits,to quit India were told .
In 1947 achieved this we; which we today behold.

Our soldiers guard Her borders, amidst heat n cold.
Proved they have themselves brave n bold.
Or India, to Her enemies would have been sold.

Now protect Her, love n respect Her, we must, ten-fold.
Treasure Her territories, like one would, treasure gold.
And Her, as Nation one, carefully n painstaking hold.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

It was a cold windy day and Fariz was walking home in quick footsteps. He was already late and his darling Mom would be anxiously awaiting his arrival.
It was really cold and Fariz had put his hands in his pocket to save them from getting cold. As he walked, he remembered how his Mom gave him Xmas gifts (from Santa of course,) every year. It was a wonderful feeling. Just as he was thinking he heard the squeaking of a puppy. "O the poor little thing must be cold I guess".
He looked around; if a shop was still open, he could perhaps get some milk, but everything was closed. It was Xmas eve. The puppy was still crying. His feet automatically drew towards that little helpless creature. His heart cried at what he saw.
The little pup was trying to awaken his mother, who was stiff dead. His heart broke and tears rolled down his eyes. On an impulse, he picked that little pup and cuddled it. He put it close to his heart, under his jacket. Fariz was about to leave, when he heard another cry. Lo behold !  Oh my God , there is another one too. He picked it up too and warmed both of them as he briskly walked towards home.
He was now close to his house, just a few blocks away. As he was crossing one home, he heard two little voices, talking to Santa. One of them said, " oh Santa, I can't put a stocking up for my wish; for I wish to have a puppy". His sister said, "I can and I will put up mine because I want a cute teddy."
Listening to them, Fariz immediately put one puppy down at their entrance, rang the bell and ran away saying, " ** ** **." When the little sibblings opened the door, their joy was indescribable. They screamed and danced around the little creature with joy. Their mother came out to see what was happening and was extremely surprised to see a cute live puppy. She picked it up and brought it in. The children were over joyed to have a real puppy.
Fariz watched all this and quietly went home.
His Mom was eagerly waiting for him. He walked in, took the little puppy out of his jacket and said, " Mom, This is Santa's gift for you". I remember you giving me one for years, now it's my turn.
They both quickly gave the cute little pup some warm milk and got busy, making him a bed. Fariz asked, "Mom what will we name him?" Mom said, "Rex, because my Mom had a dog, called Rex, whom she dearly loved".
Oh wow, it's gonna be a great Xmas ! as they cuddled little Rex, and said, "shhhh... Wait till Dad gets up to see him".

Brother and sister for eachother love and care;

Happiness and sorrows they together share.

An outsider to interfere, won't ever dare.

But when they fight with each other, it's only fair.

They can to any extent go; even pulling each other's hair.

It's like knowingly entering a

"मय हो या मैं"

अरे ओ "मैं", तू कितना प्यारा है मुझे, तुझे मैं क्या कहूं, मैं तेरे बिना रह न सकूं, क्या  करूं!

मुझे दिखता है मैं ही मैं ; जहा तू वहा मैं, मैं तेरे बिना कहीं जा n सकूं और तुझ बिन रह न सकूं।

शराब हो, या हो धूम्रपान, या चरस गांजा, सबसे नशीला पदार्थ है "मैं ";  और वो है बड़ा कातिल भी ।

सदा याद रहे, इन पदार्थों के सेवन से, कभी भी नहीं भरेगा तेरा प्यासा जी;

"मैं" हो, या मय, दोनो है कातिल और खतरनाक, इनके पयाले "अनार" तू कभी न पीना;

ऐ इंसान, अगर कम्बक्त, तूं करते रहा यह मय के पयाले का सेवन, मुश्किल हो जाएगा तेरा जीना ।

By Your rules and regulations, help me to abide.

I talk to You, as if to a friend best; do not anything hide.

Correct me, always do, but gently; n away keep me from pride.

Teach me to content be, n peaceful remain.

Help me not to wishful be; n remain simple n plain.

Afraid I am of afflictions; physical, mental n emotional pain.

Help me to face strife bravely, boldly, without disdain.

On my character, may there never be a blot or stain.

Do not foresake me ever, always, by my side remain.

MOTHER DARLING

A mother is a mother, just cannot be compared to any other.

Of course, you can rely on your father; but a mother is a mother.

An angel for her child, protecting it in a stormy weather.

Even if weak n docile, courage tremendous she will gather;

if endangered are her kids; anyone, she would try to smother.

Most lovingly, carefully, she, her child moulds painstakingly

sacrificing her own priorities and pleasures most willingly.

She even goes through pain n suffering, smiling endearingly;

teaching them the true values of life firmly with care; lovingly.

Accepts she, her child even if ugly, giving love unconditionally.

Mornings I really fear and dread.
Upon my feelings, his bickerings tread.
The hurt so painful is, to wake up I dread

That very thought of again being hurt scares me.
A dose of admonitions I get, with my cup of tea.
Instead of brightness, boring dullness n pain I see.

Lord , what do I look forward to, tell me please.
Suffer I every morning, from this horrid disease.
From this awful fear of the mornings; me, please release.

आया सावन

आया तो है सावन, पर मेरे लिए पतझड़ लेके आया

पिया मिलन के गीतों छोड़ के मैंने एक बिरह गीत गाया

यह कैसी प्रीत, यह कैसा प्यार, यह कैसा संसार मैंने पाया !

विरह में वृद्ध हो गई अरमानों से भरी गोरी गोरी काया

क्या कहूं किसे मेरे प्रीत की करुण कहानी, यह तेरी कैसी माया !!!

सावन फिर से आया, पर मेरे लिए फिर से पतझड़ ही लाया ।
