अब खाली था हंस जैसा नाजुक उसका गला भी, मंगल सूत्र बिना;

मुश्किल हो गया था उसे एक एक सांस लेना; सोच रही थी, यह कैसा जीना !

चूडियोसे खनकती थी जो भरी हुई कलाई, थी खाली और सुनी सुनी

कितनी जतनसे इन गोरे गोरे हाथों पर, उसकी सहेलिने मेहंदी की डिजाइन थी बुनी

पायल बिनाके पैर, हाथ फीके, कलाई सुनी, न मंगलसूत्र, न बिंदिया न सिंदूर

और उसकी खुशियों का तो हो गया था खून, नज़र नहीं आती थी वो दूर दूर

अब जीवन यह पहाड़ जैसा, बीतेगा कैसे; बिना  पिया के,जिंदगी कटेगी कैसे

बागो से बहार अचानक गायब हो गई कहाँ, और यह पतझड़ आई कहाँ से और कैसे

Sava varas, (One year n 3 months) ,and yet acceptance hasn't come; am I going crazy ?
When will I start accepting this bitter fact,  is something wrong with my thinking ?

People  move out, start a normal life, their previously set routine, then why can't I ?

Help me out, teach me how to live without you, and that too a normal life.

People have taken it so casually , little does your absence or presence matter

But for me it's a standstill,  this vacuum,  this gap cannot be filled

Give me please, a lessons few, to reach normalcy, so that I too can live, as people expect of me

ओ कन्हाई,

भले तुझे सारि दुनियां भगवानके रूपमें पूजे, तुझे तारणहार माने,

पर कान्हा, तू है राधा बिना आधा, यह भी सारी दुनिया जाने

राधाने जुदाई में तेरी, आंसू न बहाये, यह दुनियां कैसे माने ?

पर डरती थी वो, उसकी आँखोंमें बसा तू, उसके असवन के संग, कहीं बह न जाए,

इस लिए राधाने बेहद गम सह कर भी, अपनी आंखोसे आंसू न बहाये ।

उसके दिलका दर्द, उसके मन की पीड़, वो आजभी, मनमें ही बैठी है छुपाये ।

न जाने क्यों आखिर राधाको उसका प्यार, उसका कान्हा क्यों नहीं मिला ?

इन दो प्रेमिओकी जुदाई का हमेंशा रहेगा चर्चा, हर प्रेमिके दिलमें, रहेगा गिला।

मैं भी सदा सोचती हूँ, उन्हें उनका यह शुद्ध बेपनाह प्यार, आखिर क्यों नहीं मिला ?

आ गया है याद अनारकली वाला संवाद,  ".... सलीम तुझे मरने नहीं देगा, और हम अनारकली तुझे जीने नहीं देंगे..."
यही कर रही है, हम बुढो के (वरिष्ट कहते है) साथ अपनी सरकार ।
मंहगाई चरणसीमा को छू रही है, खाद्य पदार्थों, दवाइया, मेडिकल इन्शुरन्स, हॉस्पिटल सब कुछ महँगा, उसके ऊपर सारे टैक्स (gst); बढ़ती हुई आयु तो एक श्राप हो गई है।

आयुष्य की डोर हमारे हाथों में नहीं है; पर इज्ज़त की रोटी, इज्ज़त भरा जीवन, यह भी हमसे सरकारने छीन लिया है ।

करे तो कोई क्या करे????????
अगर इज्ज़त से जीना चाहते हैं, तो कैसे जिये????
है जवाब तो जरूर बताइयेगा ।

CHILDREN'S DAY

Not just diminishing, almost perishing is our community

Innumerable elders like us, find we, tottering around, with decreasing immunity;

Where today children rare have become, thanks to causes complex n varied;

But our heads, like an ostrich, we have conveniently deeply buried

Indifference and silence this, is killing a society, once very vibrant

It's not that we have resources none; we have to try, n them hunt

Only if I were a multimillionaire, surely a corpus huge I would create;

That corpus, which would greatly help middle class parents to procreate

May a multimillionaire come forward one of these days, to an amount pay;

So that, have we can, at least a babies few by November next, on Children's day.

With a prayer to Ahura, to send a compassionate heart who loves Parsis.

So that, soon there will be an increase in the number of new born Parsis.

ક્ષણભરમાં પ્યાર તો કરી બેસે છે, પણ પછી એમનાથી ઝેલાતો નથી એનો ભાર

બરબાદ કરી દે છે જીવન આખું, નષ્ટ-નાબૂદ કરી દે છે જીવન, આં પ્યાર

માટે પૂછું છું બધાં પ્રેમીઓને, શું પ્યાર એક મુસીબત છે, પોતાનીજ હાર???

After we pray, we must talk to Ahura, privately, in silence deep

Do properly check; have  any vices like ego, anger within us seeped

If they have, quickly analyze how n why into you, they have heaped

Teach us O Adhura, prayers to overcome vices these, that have seeped

Remove them let us, with the power of prayer, once we have within, peeped.

An action quick n timely, help us will, to away these vices keep

Our prayers, to our subconscious mind, an alarm sounds; that does beep.

That's why after we daily pray; we must, for a minute, within peep.

પીળા પાંદડાની પીડા

શાખ કહે....

"પાંદડું લીલું ને રંગ રાતો", તું તો કંઈક એવું ગાતું હતું, શાખે કટાક્ષ કરતાં કહ્યું;

પણ તને તો માનો પીળ્યો ન થયો હોય, તેમ તું તો, આજે થર થર કાંપી રહ્યું છે

તેંતો નાની ઉંમરમાંજ વર્ષા, ઠંડી, ગરમીની ઋતુ અધિક માત્રામાં સહી છે".

પાનદડું કહે......

"હા, હતો મને પોતાના ઉપર અને તારી ઉપર ભરોસો, તું ઠીક કહી રહી છે"

"પણ સમજમાં આવી છે મને આં વાત, નદીનાં નીરની જેમ આયુષ્ય વહયું જાય છે"

હવે તારાથી બહુ દૂર મને હવા લઈ જશે ઉડાડીને, વાયરો આજે જોરમાં વાય છે;

જીવનમાં વસંત ટૂંકી અને પતઝડ લાંબી હોય છે; અને ખરી પડવાનું પણ નાક્કીજ હોય છે."

That sorrow-struck father, lost his dearest child; shocked beyond words, he was

Money-its profits, a huge limelight, prestige; its great name, was the cause

The kidnappers powerful very were, change n maneuver easily they could, even laws

Sadly, Ill treated the father was, they took away his child boldly, surreptitiously, with stealth

For years together suffered the poor child, slowly but steadily, depleted its image n health

Instead of growing bigger n stronger, weaker it grew, in prestige, health n wealth

After years many, much after the father's demise, brought home uncle, this unhealthy baby

Rejoiced many its homecoming, specially those who still love its father n uncle; though huge was the fee

Time it may, to recover fully take, not just months; even a couple of years, maybe!

LOVE-WHAT'S THAT REALLY?

Ah! Wonder I; it sets me thinking, after all, why is Love such a complex feeling?

A seer once asked, "how many people fall in love with the disabled, the reeling?

Said he, "it is an attraction", some quality of the opposite person, sets in a warm feeling

May be, initially this does happen; it brings warmth, a glow, your resistance starts peeling

Then comes a feeling of bliss; you are in heaven; with its exuberance you climb up to the ceiling

In times of trouble, love is truly soothing, this LOVE has a fantastic capacity for healing

But a failure is heartbreaking, nerve wrecking, scaring n scarring; in fact it is almost killing

Can you readers, with a solution help me; what is really love, what n why experience we, this feeling?

ANYTHING KAREGAA FOR AN EENDAA

From early childhood, we Parsis survive hardly can, without an "eenda"

We can hardly, without our eenda in some form or the other, remain "Jinda"

Love we an egg over almost anything, papeta, kheema, vengna-nu-bhartu or bhinda.

Arre! we Parsis often prefer our eenda over delicious sweets, like daar ni pori or a "penda"

Poro, akoori are staple diet in a Parsi household, without which our life is like a "mindaa"

Our passion for these "eendas" actually creates either jealousy, "teeka" or "neendaa"

Whatever be the reason, a Parsi Bawaji almost cannot live without his favourite "EENDAA"

Our Brandy, our puppy, our lil imp, so very docile and innocent looks, at the first glance

But sneaks in she does very quietly into the washroom, whenever she gets a chance

Enjoying a shower, drinking water alongside; then to dry up, she does a shake (off) dance.

Our washroom is her territory,  her mansion, her resort; if around n someone is in, she loudly does bark.

Into it, she quickly glides, rather darts, even pushing us in the bargain; just like a little ferocious shark

Equally possessive she is about her bed; running behind kids, when they try to make it; once it's dark

ભલે તું ન માને, પણ સમજી લે, આં સ્વાર્થી જગતમાં પોતીકા કમ છે, અને લાખો લોકો છે પરાયાં

તારાં દિલ-દિમાગ તો ઘણાં લોકોને પોતીકા માને છે, પણ એ બધાં નથી તારાં

દુઃખમાં સાથ આપે કોઈકજ, બીજાં તો  સુખમાંજ બનીને રહેશે  તારાં

ખોલ આંખો તારી, ખોટી આશા ન બાંધ, દુઃખ આવે ત્યારે પોતાના થઈ જાય છે પરાયાં

હકીકત છે જે, તે કરી લે તું સ્વીકાર, સચ્ચાંઈ ને અપનાવી, આપ તું એને આવકાર

બાકીની જિંદગી, એકલતામાં જીવવા, રહે તું તૈયાર; કરી લે આં સચ્ચાંઈ સ્વીકાર

તારી જવાબદારીઓ, તારી વૃદ્ધાવસ્થા, તારાં દુઃખો, હવે છે તારે માટે, એક પટકાર !

સતત યાદ રહે તને આં વાત, બે ત્રણ માનવોને છોડી, બીજાં હવે સમઝે છે તને બેકાર

સચ્ચાંઈ સ્વીકારવા, પોતાના અને પારકમાં અંતર સમઝવા, શીદ લાગે છે તને આટલી વાર?

एक आश

छुपी हुई है मनमें एक आश; काश हम सब अलग अलग हो कर भी, दिल-ओ-दिमाग से होते एक ;

दिलमें चाहत है एक छुपी हुई; भले अलग अलग व्यंजन खाये, पर मिलझुल कर, थोड़ा सा बाट कर खाये;

पहेरवेष अलग हो, भले कपडोके रंग और डिज़ाइन अनेक हो; पर दिलसे हम सब जरूर एक हो ।

बोली भले  हर १२ गांवके बाद बदलती हो, पर एकता लाये, ऐसी एक भाषा भी तो हमे चाहिए ।

हिंद की अपनी भाषा, हिंदी, अभिसे इसे गर्व से सब बोले, ऐसा करें निश्चय सब मिलकर आज ही से ।

हिंदी में एक मिठास है, एक अपनापन है; चलिए, आइये, मातृभाषा, राष्ट्रभाषा का गर्वसे करे प्रयोग;

जहाभी हो सके, जितना भी हो सके आज से चलो राष्ट्रभाषा और मातृभाषा का करें उपयोग ।

सरकारसे एक नम्र निवेदन है, भाषा अगर सरल हो तो आएगी आसानीसे हरएक को समझमे;

तो जितना हो सके, पहोचिये लोगों तक, उनके दिलों तक, लिये सरल भाषा ।

बस यह मधुर भाषा का हर कोई करे प्रयोग, इतनी है छोटीसी आशा; क्या कर सकती हूं मैं यह आशा ?

BE A HUMAN GOOD

Treat we our bosses n seniors with respect; but how do we, our subordinates treat?

Do they, to you come forward with their difficulties or seeing you retreat?

Personal problem if any; share do they, with you; coming up to your seat?

Do they their joys, also share with you; do they you enthusiastically meet?

Their eyes watch keenly every morning, when  they, wish you n  greet

Reveal the truth their eyes will, if, with respect true, you they treat.

Remember always to respect n with love respond to subordinates, when you them meet.

હૂંફ

બીજું કંઈ આપી શકે કે નહીં, માયાળુ શબ્દોથી હૂંફ તો આપી શકે છે તું

દુખીનું દુઃખ, એનો ઘા રૂઝાય, એવા પ્રેમાળ શબ્દો વાપરી, હૂંફ તો આપી શકે છે તું

વૃદ્ધ હોય ભલે તારા હાથ, એ ધ્રુજતા હાથોથી આંસુ તો લુસી શકે છે તું

જેમ તને હૂંફ જોઈએ છે, તેમ એ કોઈકને તું આપી બી તો શકે છે,

બે મીઠા બોલ અથવા તો દુખીના ખભા પર તારો નાતવાન હાથ તો મૂકી શકે છે

બીજું કંઈ થાય કે ન થાય તારાથી "અનાર", હૂંફ આપવાની કોશિશ તો તું કરી જ શકે છે.

BLARING LOUDSPEAKERS

Only if authority had I,  stop immediately I would, the use of these blaring loudspeakers

Why do people torture us; what do they honestly want, these pollution seekers?

Banned these loudspeakers should be right away, and exceptionally used in an emergency

To announce a storm, floods or similar situation, only during some crisis or in emergency

Against the use of these loudspeakers, maybe start someone should, an insurgency.

Stop should, though doubtful it is; to help solve this problem it won't; our indifferent Buerocracy

Innocent little Infants deaf can turn, or can startle and cry, when suddenly a loudspeaker does blare

Our poor pets n strays, our dogs, birds and animals others, it startles and can them scare.

Horrid voices, hoarse n dreadful screech and scream often through these loudspeakers;

So hear blasting music forcefully we have to, from these hoarse, off tuned screechers

Elders who are partially deaf; severe problems, in traffic can face; occur can fatal accidents

Sight one can umpteen such awful examples; and many more similar incidents.

Nature's laws if we constantly defy, consequences drastic we will have to definitely face

Why don't leaders, authorities, politicians, Buerocrats care for animals n this human race

દુખીઓના આંસુ લુસવા આવ્યા વિઘ્નહર્તા, આવ્યા ગણપતિ બાપ્પા આવ્યા

મોદક ભાવે, લાડવા ભાવે; જલ્દી આરતી ઉતારો, બાપ્પા આવ્યા, બાપ્પા આવ્યા !

હાર-તોરણ લાવો, સાજ- શીંગાર કરો, રે લોકો બધાં મળી... મંગલ ગીત ગાવો

આરતી ઉતારો, મોદક, લાડવા પેંડા વેહચો બધાંને પ્રસાદ તરીકે, બાપ્પાને વધાવો

જોજો લોકો, બાપ્પા હોય માટીના, અથવા માવા કે ચોકલેટના; સાચવજો નદીના નીર

જીવન છે મુશ્કેલીઓથી ઘેરાયેલું, ઓ સુખકર્તા- દુઃખહર્તા, આવીને દૂર કરજો લોકોની પીડ.

2.. Make a Mawa (with mithai, ladoo or peda) Ganeshji... A Sweet, flavoured one, dissolve in milk again n serve as prasad

3.. A mud one can be put into an earthen ***,  dipped in water n flowers or plants grown there.

4.. Made from fruits n vegetables, will look very attractive, can dip in water n then served as prashad.

5.. cooked rice n dal (dried) moulded into a Ganesha can  then be diluted n served as prashad too.

THE VICTIM

They ***** her, destroying her physically, mentally; and her spirit n soul severely crushed n injured;

Injured it permanently, tattered and battered it, with their action cruel; these monsters most weird.

As a mother protects her daughters; she should also her sons to respect every woman teach

Men decent, never ill treat a woman, be she young or old, feeble or strong; they will never let her screech.

A **** is the worst crime against a woman, something unpardonable, a sin extremely grave

Severely, with an iron hand punished should be those men, who, for these inhuman ways crave

Lord, O my kind Lord,  protect every single woman; be she a child or an adult, against a ****

Whatever be the reason, no man should, without a woman's willingness, her undrape.

I don't show it openly, but I am still drowned in this sorrow

Your words in my ears constantly ring, "I  don't want to die, I want to live for you "

I  told you to fight it (death); but I guess, death overpowered you.

Dearest, stay blessed in Heaven;  and may you, to realms higher rise

From there, guide us please and constantly give us your advise.

No one knows when reunions take place; no one knows that date;

But, I hope it is soon time for me to join all of you, I eagerly that day await.

PROMISE OURSELVES, LET US TODAY

Freedom at midnight we received, not in the Asian way, when the morning Sun rose,

Then came the Jammu & Kashmir war n d partition civil war; soon began our days of woe.

The Brits squeezed our mental, emotional n physical wealth; they destroyed our professional skill

To bring about our decline, the Gurukul system abolished was; slowly but firmly destroyed, much against our will

If lessons sufficient we have learned from our past, let's unite n like the Phoenix, once again rise

Not crumble n divide because of ***** politicis; let's be judicious, broad minded n wise

Nationalists n Industrialists like Tatas support India; let us them patronise, with all our heart

Let us, as far as possible; of this important mission, "BE INDIAN BUY INDIAN" be a part.

काश वो उसके भाइयो को सुनाई देती,  उन्हें महसूस होती

आजके दिन भी, मुझे एकभी भाई याद नहीं कर रहा है; रिश्तों की खो गई है एहमियत

या तो इस बेकदर, व्यापारी दुनियाकी, बदल रही है, नियत

अब यहाँ हर चीज़ है बिकाऊ; वक़्त तो बड़ी तगड़ी किमतमे बिकता है, मानो हो कोई महँगी कैफियत

काश वो थोड़ी फिकर करते मेरी, तो यह असहय दर्द कुछ तो हल्का हो जाता;

एक मिनिट मेरे लिए भी वो लोक निकालते, काश एक फोन मुझे भी आ जाता !

ऐ मालिक, तू तो है दयालु, कृपानिधान;काश तेरा यह गुण, हम इंसानों में आ जाता !

इस कठोर दुनियां में, अचनाकसे थोड़ी कोमलता, कहीं से आ जाती

साथ उसके मेरे लिए, मेरे भाई का, घड़ी भर का वक्त भी ले आती ।

तो एकबार फिर बचपन आ जाता, खिल खिलाकर जल उठते, यह दिया और बाती ;

भाई मेरे, भले मुझे करे न करे याद,
मैं तो, भेज रही हूं उन्हें मेरा प्यार और आशीर्वाद।

QUIT INDIA

Quit India was a strong, nation wide, very huge, n massive protest;

Closely knit, united was our entire Nation, at its very best

Because of our unity, with flying colours, we passed this test;

But the Brits digest couldn't this, so divided us they by making us fight

They at us, threw a bone called religion; licked this we, fighting for every bite

Foolishly fell into their trap we did, every dog, trying to hold that English bone tight

Unfortunately so very blind we became with rage, that our common sense use we did not

Quit India they did, but destroyed they our peace; that bone, a problem permanent brought.

Fighting for that bone, which is, in our throat stuck; we in the spider's web are caught.

Reawaken if we using our sense common, perhaps this Motherland will, a super power again become

Self-restraint, discipline, love and understanding we need to use some

O my fellow Indians, come lets get together once again , please together come.

Between personal gains n self-respect, undoubtedly I choose, my self-respect

In preference to egoistic, famous, rich humans, I prefer an ordinary cultured sect

Yet many people choose the rich, who are rude, arrogant; n others ill-treat;

Instead of their treatment shabby, befriend I will a person kind

To show-off, may be these rich ones, at you, flaunt may their wealth; many such you will find;

But prefer I those folks ordinary n simple, who with all their heart, will us befriend.

What ever be those factors luring, I seek my self-respect, from beginning to end.

Your Mum, Shez says you eat almost anything n everything except a "kakri"

That's why Brandu, she says, "you are perhaps not a doggie, you are a "bakri"

I know keeps someone up there, our account of every deed, in detail

Help me please to keep clean my slate of accounts; so that my train doesn't de-rail

gets it, a signal green, clear is the path, when my soul towards heaven does travel

When reaches my soul up there,  the accountant, my personal account will ravel

Hope I, to have a catchet of good deeds; with Your ever helping hand;

This certainly secure a place in Heaven will, when my soul there does land.

मार्गदर्शन नित्य हो तेरा, तेरे प्रेमभरे हाथोंमें, सदा हाथ हो मेरा

उस पथ पे चलुं, जो बनाया है तुझने; हर घड़ी, हरदम रहे सहारा तेरा !

दिल मेरा है परेशान; आत्मा है अशांत, दिखा मुझे वो शांति की राह;

चारों ओर हो असीम शांति, कभी न सुनाई दे किसीकी, या मेरी भी कोई आह

THANK YOU FOR BEING MY GURU

A  Guru, a teacher is a very important figure throughout our existence, our life;

All those are our Gurus, our teachers, who help us to combat, to face our strife

One learns many different things in life; not just from humans but also many creatures;

Today, I sincerely thank everyone,  beginning from Mom n Dad, who were my very first teachers.

I thank my school n college teachers, bosses, my Jer Mum, who encouraged me in everything, cent percent

Bhupendra Sir, revived he, my passion, my favourite music in my life, of course with Vispi's encouragement;

Ramiyar, I owe you a thank you big, for being my friend, philosopher n guide.

With all their help, may Ahura lead me on the path right, where, by all His rules, I abide.

May all my dear departed ones, in Heaven climb higher realms n attain great heights

May Ahura bless each n everyone who taught me anything, however small, that is right.

A tiny bit of mustard seed I am, which is commonly known as "rai"

I have not a guru, who will listen to my many pleas; even if I loudly cry

Our Rainider Soshyosh, during my life time, I may not ever see

Those who Soshyosh Saheb see and hear, indeed very lucky willbe

Filled then will this world entire be, flora and fauna, with sheer glee

जो थकते नहीं थे तुम्हे साब-साब करते,
न जाने वो सब आज, कहाँ खो गए

और मैं भी जीने समझती थी अपना, अब बन गए हैं एक सपना;
न जाने वो सब कहाँ खो गए

Shez और Annu के सिवाय, कोई रहा नहीं है अपना, वही रोज़ याद करते हैं; क्या कहु अब; वो अपने, न जाने सब कहाँ खो गए

किसीको भी वक्त नहीं है, सब अपने काममें है मशरूफ; इस लिए,
शायद वो कहीं खो गए है

जो चला गया, उसकी, यानेकि तुम्हारी जिम्मेदारी थी मैं; शायद यह ही है वक्तका तकाज़ा; इसी लिए,
वो सब कहीं न कहीं खो गए

वो ज़माना अलग था, जब अपना कोई अकेला न पड़ जाए यह लोक देखते थे;
न जाने वो ज़माना आज कहाँ खो गया, दूर दूर कहीं चला गया।

वक्त का यह तकाज़ा मुझे मंज़ूर हो न हो; झेलना तो यह गम पड़ेगा;
न जाने वो वक्त कहाँ खो गया

MIRAGE

My life entire I spent dreaming away, oh my God, what a waste !

As a kid thought I, absolutely fabulous n fantastic was my taste !

In a glance, just a glimpse; fell in love I did, in a moment of haste !

Love you I did immensely; but you were actually a mirage, not a reality

Perception faulty was mine; nowhere between us, there was any equality

You had nothing to do with this; you were a mirage, just living in the same city

Sad, out of proportion was growing, this one sided love of mine

Never did you invite me for a date, or with you to even dine,

Crazy was my love; patiently thought I, one day things will definitely be fine

But shadows cannot an actual shape take; a mirage always will so remain

Life yours, had no place for me; in it, an entry I would never be able to gain.

Alas! on a mirage, my life entire I spent; frustrated, in excruciating pain.
