I thought I was doing something  good;

And continue to do this deligently,  I should.

But continue to do my work I couldn't ;

Perhaps orders came from up above, so I  shouldn't.

Now  perhaps my work over is, as per Heavenly orders

When happens this, what next; one ponders???

From Heaven,  await the answer certainly I must

ECOFRIENDLY HOLI

Soon will be coming Holi,
And  people will play it in a group toli.

Amidst all this fanfare, request you I, to consider this most sincerely ;

When painting each other,  in a frenzy do not get caught;

Harmful paints n colours use do not; n precious water waste not.

Summer soon will follow n water indeed scarce will become .

We will it need; n request you I, to leave for plants, animals n birds some.

Wood comes from chopping off trees, which  are very precious;

An earnest request is, to play an ECOFRIENDLY HOLI;  let's be gracious.

Let's burn away all our vices and all our habits weird  and bad;

Let each of us with these,  bravely combat, without being sad.

PATH RIGHT

Often I hear, "Think with your head, for God's sake, use your brain "

"Don't just be an emotional fool, every drop of  your energy people will drain."

Then, even after so many warnings,  why can't I use my head !

Say they often, " remember you have to bake your own bread".

Tell me they, "Like others so easily and conveniently do; why can't you?"

Why does my heart overpower my head; why does it dictate what I should do !

Ahura,  many such confusions  and obstacles,  very often come my way;

With them,  how do I deal ? In absolute peace and happiness, I now wish to stay !

This constant tussle drains me; can you please guide me, I at peace want to be .

Why do people who think with their hearts  suffer?which really is the path right?

Can you please things easier make; request You I, to make our  life more bright .

All of a sudden, felt she thrilled, without any particular reason.

Wondered she, why this sudden feeling of bliss, without any reason!

These days,  parties there were plenty; it was the usual  wedding season;

But why this beautiful out of the world feeling all of a sudden, sans any reason!

Then her heart,  a beat skipped and her pulse raced, as she saw him;

Oh ! Perhaps it could be just someone similiar; it possibly couldn't be him !

Thought she,  perhaps  the atmosphere is romantic; the dance floor alluring with lights dim;

But told her,  her heart it is no one but him; it is very much him !

Aww, so very many years had passed ! aged he did look; but was almost the same.

Stop herself she couldn't,  n towards him flew! everything seemed the same !

Breathless ! touching him lightly, in a voice quivering, she said a hello lame!

Looking up, stared he at her face  sallow; lighted his eyes,  the spark was the same !

Their eyes met n volumes spoke; no words spoken were; but tears streamed in pain !

Simply unaware of their surroundings, lost they were ! down memory lane !

Breaking the spell he offered his hand, n smiled slowly; see she could on his face, immense pain.

Took his hand she did; n they danced, just like before; again slipping down memory lane.

Her head, she rested on his chest, hearing his beats; n after years, felt she comfort deep

Years had passed,  but love never dies; buried it was always in their chests, ribs n hearts deep.

Oh darling  where were you all these years ! Why Didn't you my love,  your promise keep  ?

Speak nothing just now, alive I want to feel; just stare into my eyes deep !

Forgetting everything n everybody around them, lost they were in their own world

This joy immense, lessened her wrinkles, as she around him entwined n curled.

Two lost lovers, two people but one soul, reunited after ages; today found their lost world.

Nature, Her blessings showered at the elderly couple, as transformed they, into another world.

RETIREMENT

This word scares many people,  but please afraid be not.

By now tired you may be,  of the many battles you  have fought.

Seen you must have  ups n downs, illnesses;  n hardships lot

Now is the right time, to  relax, enjoy and  fulfill your many dreams.

Go out on tours, picnics,  movies; wine, dine n eat ice creams.

Your passions,  hobbies follow - sing, dance, roam, jog, swim.

Dread retirement do not, with your grandchildren qualify time spend

Keep in touch with  the old ones; or  make new friends at every bend.

Grow plants,  water them, and then, them as gifts to others send.

Teach  poor children, educate them to good humans become

In reading, writing, creativity, drawing,  painting,  time spend some.

Yoga do daily, n some  of the things above; fantastic will be the outcome.

Don't let depression get into you ever

It's because of the negative things you see,

Hear and feel around you;  lost is all the  glee

Long n sad is the path from  how are you to who are you.

SELF ANNIHILATION

Yesterday, or a few  years  ago, vast skies and fields we could see;

Today there are concrete jungles, live where we , paying a heavy fee.

Just a glimpse of the sky we long for, clouds we can hardly see.

Grass there is little; even reclaimed we have the seas.

Flowers beautiful there were plenty,  with wasps and  bees;

Mountains n hills are inundated, bereft of greenery, no trees

But now cemented pavements,  lampposts,  advertisements we see

Polluted  air with less oxygen we breathe; gone is our energy n glee

Less of Sunshine, more of depression all around us we these  days see

That beautiful romantic Moon, that magical moonlight and me;

Were friends close, with stars twinkling as far as I could see !!!

Self annihilation,  depression, illnesses all around have we.

O humans, is this what  modernisation, advancement call we ?

For us, You are indeed too complex, wise n clever.

With this so called intelligence, often relationships with You we sever.

Assault some  physically,  mentally and yet some, emotionally

Destroy some people the victims, professionally or  vocationally

Some people just  assassinate the poor person's pristine character

How does the affected person deal with so many different  factors???

Readers,  agree with me you all will, these accusations are unpardonable crimes.

Unfortunately these are on a rise steep during our, so called  modern times.

Of these,  one of the worst and absolutely  unpardonable crime is ****;

Wonder I, how n why does law allow these loathed criminals to escape.

It's an earnest request to all judges, advocates,  police,  ministers

In fact, everyone concerned, from the highest to the lowest administrators

Put your daughters,  sisters, wife or mother in the victim's place

Awaken your conscience; make your money else where; in her, please see their face.

Another thing is, do not ever assassinate someone 's character

Find out facts,  reasons behind their behaviour or action; there could be important factors

Easy it is to become a vicious demon and tarnish an innocent's image

Do not be the cause of someone's miseries,  or  her  character damage.

Poor soul, felt I, really sorry to see her glum plight

For years she has been trying to make situations light ;

For every little thing,  puts up her husband a fight;

Seriously,  he needs to hold his tongue really tight.

Many times, it lands her in a situation awkward  or tight .

Now in her life, sees she nothing beautiful or bright

Says she sadly, " there is no hope; not a ray of  light "

Under some pretext or the other he fights day n night.

Fighting with her on Valentine's Day was the height.

It's so difficult to see her sorrowful face, her plight.

A MARTYR'S CRY

Died I, most willingly, for my Mother land

Bothers no one weather in water or sand.

Left behind were my beloveds, parents, kids, wife.

No one will ever understand their sorrow n strife.

A soldier for his nation, gives his all.

He fights unto his breath last, n then falls.

People I wish so indifferent n callous were not.

Respect they would every soldier who valiantly fought.

O God in Heaven, this respect, to them, please teach.

For our Army, a prayer, compassion, respect some, I beseech.

Just wish to share my thoughts with all of you, on Teddy Day
There are umpteen occasions in the English calendar where they exchange friendship bands,  cards,  chocolates, 🐻 teddy bears etc etc,  can't we gift plants with or without pots, depending on our budget. ( a bamboo plant, Money plant, tulsi etc) If trees and plants are grown all around us, how pretty will be our surrounding. Also there will be a rich flow of oxygen around us.

Like sandalwood,  if we can gift a plant or a tree to Amerdad Ameshaspund, to our Agiyaris, Doongerwadi,  colonies, or just to friends on their birthdays and anniversaries, Wouldn't it be a great idea.

I would love your opinions. Please share your thoughts with me.

A BURNT TOAST

This morning  spoilt seemed, as started it with a burnt toast ;

Asked I,  " Mom, about your culinary skills I always boast;

Then tell me dear Mom, why today, this burnt toast" ???

Anyway I picked it up and most unwillingly took it along.

As I  threw it out of my car, came a lady poor and looked at it long;

Cleaned it , brushed the dirt ; and lovingly fed a child small.

She was in clothes tattered n *****,  playing with a ragdoll.

"Actually ashamed of myself I was then," said the rich lad;

He was  ashamed simultaneously about his behaviour bad.

Parked the car he did at the side; bought some  milk, toast n bread ;

Gave it lovingly to the child small n decided to this awareness spread.

Hurt never your loving Mom; n grateful be for the food.

Waste food never; even if rich you are, this is not a habit good.

Hence forth waste food, I definitely won't, and my Mom I will always respect.

I will remember and teach everyone this important aspect.

Forget never I will  that little child, so happily eating a burnt toast;

Water,  food , air,  clothes to  the poor are important n valuable most.

Ye Parsis, what do will you, with your  properties, jewellery n money ?

Don't you think there is something seriously wrong with you; something uncanny!!!

When the whole world is bursting with babies  n over population;

You seem to be  hell bent upon perishing ; upon self destruction.

Why so unnatural is your  behaviour; understand this I cannot !!!

Unmarried or childless couples or a single child, plenty we have got

How utterly selfish can we become; that almost decided we have, to perish!!!

Or show this   world how  very charitable you are; so that the world, your memory will cherish.

Wake up, open your eyes wide; see the religious n cultural side.

Marriages plan; plan to get babies many; n by Zathushtra's teachings abide.

INFECTIOUS

In a *** small, I planted some
" Methi seeds"

Watered them I did, those little brown beads.

Eagerly awaited I; to see results, I was keen

Soon they sprouted n I saw stalks green;

With happiness, pounding was my heart.

For, of this process, I was actually a part.

Prompted me this, to do gardening more.

Wished I to increase n better my score;

So planted I some corriander n ginger  too.

Added a "curry patta" plant; now I had work to do.

Infectious this became, people followed me.

My neighbors also did plant; now green we see;

Pray I, may this infection spread out wide.

May this Earth soon look like a bride.

Where weapons deadly, wouldn't exist,

Wish wicked men could their greed resist.

Crime, commit no one here would ever;

Relations sever people would
never.

Jealousy, hatred, anger etc would be wiped off.

No one at another, would laugh or  scoff.

Here exist peace, serenity, prosperity would.

Love, care, kindness easily give people would.

Meals sufficient everyone would be able to cook;

તારું બિચારું વાછરડું, ટીપા દૂધ માટે તરસે;

જ્યારે દૂધ, દહી, ઘી માલિકના ઘરમાં વરસે.

થાય જ્યારે ઘરડી તું, નકામી એમને લાગે.

ખોરાક ન આપતાં, તારાથી દૂર તારો માલિક ભાગે.

છોડી દેય તને રખડતી, રઝળતી, પૈસા બચાવવા પોતાના

અથવા કસાઈ ઘર છોડી આવે મરવા; આપે નહિ તને ચારો કે દાણા.

સાચેજ એકલ્પેટો, મતલબી ને ક્રૂર હોય છે માનવ.

मालिक मेरे

काश होता यह दिल बेदिल, पत्थर सा !

क्यू बनाया तुने इसे नरम मोम सा ?

अनुभवता है यह भारी पीड़ा  हर समय ।

दर्द और पीड़ा, हो जाती है असहय;

जब देखते है दुख ऑरोका, उनकी मुश्किल;

तब रो लेता है, तड़प उठता है यह दिल ।

अरे अरे मालिक मेरे, यह क्या कर डाला तुने !

रास न आये यह दुनियां के रिवाज़, जो बनाए तुने।

कच्ची कलियों को मसलना, इतने बलात्कार;

असहाय, बूढ़े मात पिता का, करना बहिष्कार ;

अगर बच्ची हो तो, करवाना उस मासुमका गर्भपात;

या वो शराबी पति, जो मारता है बीवी बच्चों को लात ।

कब होगी

ऐसे तो आती है अमावस हर माह

पर मै तो सालों से भर रही हूं आह

जाने कब आएगी चांद रात लेके, कोई माह

क्यू की कभी न धरी तुने यह नाज़ुक बांह;

न तो कभी मिली मुझे तेरी बाहों में पनाह ।

जाने कब होगी पूर्णिमा; सालों से देखती हूं राह ।

सालों का इंतजार होगा न पूरा; आएगी न कभी पूर्णिमा;

न खिलगा चांद कभी इस आंगन में; बस सुनाएगी आह ।

लिखाना कुछ ऐसा जिस में तेरी हो जीत

अमूल्य, अनमोल; जिनका हो तुझसे तोल

दुनिया पढ़ कर अनुकरण करे मेरा हर बोल ।

चित्रकला में हो दिल लुभाने की कला,

हर चित्र से सीखे, और करे लोग कुछ भला

अमर शहीद

रोज़ जलाते है शहीद के स्वजन, आंसुओ के दीप

आज हम भी उनकी याद में प्रगताए एक श्रद्धा दीप

अमर है वोह हर जवान; हो जाता है जो, वतन के लिए शहीद

उन वीरों को अर्पण कर रही हूं मैं श्रद्धांजलि आज;

और प्यारे बापू को भी, जिन्होंने दिया हमें स्वराज

इस दीपक के साथ,  चलो आज बोए एक दो पेड़;

और आए आगे हर कोई माई का लाल, करे छोटा सा दान;

तब सीक्षा प्राप्त कर सकेंगे शहीदों के बचचे नादान ।

गर होती मै एक महकता फूल, तो शायद छु लेता तु मुझे;

गर होती मै खुशबू तो समा जाती सांसों में तेरी

गर होती मै एक इठलाता झरना, तो प्यास बुझाती तेरी

गर होती मै नटखट नदियां, तो शायद तु होता मेरा किनारा

गर होती मै बादल तो ऐ चांद छुपा लेती तुझे आंचलमे

गर होती मै कोई स्वादिष्ट मिठाई, तो होती मै भीतर तेरे

गर होती मै शहद मीठा, तो होठोको चूम लेती मै तेरे ।

गर होती मै रोशनी, दूर करती तेरा अंधेरा;
