Did you ever look
Into an addict's eyes
And see the reflection
Of your own ghost

All your judgment
All your abuse
Dangling there
A noose

If there was anything left

Did you know you were thought of before you were born?

The God who made you made a plan for you before the world began

When Jesus walked the Earth

He loved those in the world and came to save the world

And then the ones he came to save

Put him on a cross

He was beaten and whipped

He was bruised and battered by beatings that killed many

But he planned to take that pain

He knew he would do it

And he knew who he was doing it for

When he was put on that cross

He thought of you

He thought of your name

He thought of your personality

Your face

And he knew many of those he loved

Would reject him

Don't reject him

He loved you before you were even born

Don't let him do it

Don't let him break you

Don't let him taunt you

Don't listen to his lies

Don't listen to the temptations

He was given kingship of this world

But my Father allowed him that kingship

Don't let him beat you ******

He wants you to feel worthless

He wants you to feel purposeless

He wants to exhaust you

He hates you

You walk under the name of your Father

Which means he will do everything he can to destroy you

He hates you

PICK UP THAT SWORD!

DON'T GIVE IN!

NEVER GIVE UP!

I guess this is more of a prayer

But dear God

I struggle with putting you first

I want to be better at it

I say I put you first

But sometimes these priorities get mixed up in my mind

You know I'm not perfect

Yet you love me

You are a God of Love

I want to get my heart back on track

But I need your Grace

You keep trying to put me in a box

You try to crush my future

You try to surround me with all of this evil

You try to make me think that I'm what I was

But I won't go back

I was declared free of this shame

I was given the power of Grace

I was declared a free man

I can walk where I want

I can think what I want

So stop trying to make me think that this evil is what I want

You can't put me in a box

My God has a plan for me

So what can stop me

I will bow before his name

I will serve him

So back down before my God

I'm much more complex
Then your perception of me
I once was a sailor
In a corrupt Navy
I once was a drunker
I once was a thief
I once had to run
From the local police
I fell in love
Well maybe twice
My heart is missing
More then one slice
I wish I had
More love in my life
Yet I've been assured
Everything is alright
