Melody has changed
Lyrics have a far different meaning
The chorus means what it used to but somehow you forgot the words that you sang at the top of your lungs
Still friends but the Music has changed
It is sad but moving forward time has gone away
You are lost in a shuffle where we had yesterday
Not sure ahout today or tomorrow
You are here and there
Yet far away
The Music has changed not the memories
The Journey continues but not sure  of us because the Music has changed as the friendshilp is stuck in another time and place

Some writers get it and you
More about your words and how they are crafted and polished
Readers are somewhat surprised and take a step back
You can write it to them but not say it to them
Not putting us on a pedestal
Tired of hearing the word special applied to me
Maybe because accepting that is still further away then one might expect
Learned the hard way to accept and not expect
Being grateful is something else
Always have and always will be
The need is very simple but one must stay true and activate it
Be the do good type
Do the very best you can and strive for more
Help and and listen
Know when to hold back and when to be there
The need is greater than one would think
Open your eyes and take a careful look around
Unite don't divide

It is out there and some with good cause
We can read it and feel it
The search is for kindness and goodness in our changing world
Not partisan but from the heart
Too many have been pained and jolted into something beyond inconceivable
You matter and what matters has forever changed for some
Some won't change and that unfortunately is the way that it is
If writing and poetry gives people something to hold on to
Hopefully striving forward than it is a wonderful gift
We can't throw in the towel and give up
Naysayers need not read further
This is not Pollyanna in any means
There is a two year old and four month old that deserve a better world to live in
No hate, injustice, and a cleaner environment
My nephews and nieces deserve the best
My wish is that those people in your family are loved and treasured enough that the need for Poetry never goes away
It is  one of my very best friends and always will be

We are coming through a time that is not only unforgettable but extremely painful
We will never be the same and that word is not written lightly
Locked in a box of yesterday once more does not cut it
Savor and enjoy your memories but don't let them stand in the way of new ones
Enjoy those you love and new as well as old friends
What good are they if they are in scrapbooks with bookends?
Be the best and do your best for yourself and others.
Giving up should not be an option

She danced along Nova Scotia's bay
Every care and thought melted away
Remnants of a dream and glistening water on the sea
That yesterday and tomorrow were carefree
He ran like a bull set free from a china closet looking for a reason
He wanted a chance to change for now and every season
It would be easier to let it be
Today was a nightmare and tomorrow he might never see
They stayed together forever and an explanation didn't matter
They never married because a soul or two could shatter
This was a story she wrote and saved

And all gratuities were waved
It was remnants of a dream for people like you and me
Today was a disaster and tomorrow was carefree

Somebody makes you a victim
Your sense of worth and well being vanishes
No matter your age
You are harmed and scared for life even though some think you get over it
You don't but with help you move on and forward
When your dignity is taken and you are never the same
People who haven't a clue want to deny your rights to terminate something that should have never been there in the first place
It is your body and nobody should tell you what to do with it
That is not the way it is now but the way it needs to be again
Children should be wanted and planned for
Believe what you want and think what you want
That is fine
When one is violated sometimes what is taken can't be corrected medically
Some women can never conceive and when it is medically assisted if it is possible when will Government try to stop that blessing
The way it is is not as it should be
Will you pay to raise the children that were not wanted until they are no longer minors
Will Orphanages be filled to the max
That is the way it will be

There was a time when it was over
Took all the courage and time to make things right
They were wrong and wrong never tells the full story
We all make mistakes but that is what makes us human
The heartbreak and tears go with the flow and territory
Liking it is one thing
Dealing with it is another
It is a process and you can be over and out just as quickly again

Women should have the right in all fifty states to do what they wish  as citizens
Medical and other horrible situations which are out of their control when they are victimized has been grossly and horribly ignored
Some people should look in their own backyards and hearts before they judge
There is one member of the Supreme Court that would have his marriage disavowed if we go back to yesterday

Ask those with numeric blue on their arms
It doesn't wash off neither do the memories shoes and teeth
It is ignorance and lack of education
Or is it?
Auschwitz,Birkenau,and others
Try looking up the name of a descendant on the Yad Vashem website
They list the names and how they perished
Imagine if it was your family?
It happened and hopefully will never happen again
See Chanukah is coming and though the holiday is happy and light
There is darkness when human beings deny it ever happened
