Walking and enjoying squirrels eat their nuts and stare at me
Almost as if we greeted each other and I guess we did
Then I saw the poor little bird on the street lifeless
Not knowing why or how the bird was there
With no tissues or safe way to lift the bird

They are far and few between but one reared its ugly head yesterday

Six gift bags with silk flowers in it
As it drizzled it was ckwar somebody who yearned for a card or a phone call on Mother's day would have loved those flowers

You are not pretty enough by their standards

Your metal braces and rubber banded teeth don't fit in
You catch them doing things in school bathrooms thaf you wish you never witnessed
These memories come back to haunt you later on
No matter how successful you have become
Only the bullied know why children should never ever get away with doing this to others

The gray squirrel scurried across the road as happy as a clam because there was food in his mouth
Hopefully he or she found their tree
Orchids were dancing in the wind
Sanitation was doing its rounds  
The protests will end soon and the calm will hopefully continue
Hopefully the future will shine brighter because of their commitment and passion
We long for visits, embraces,hugs, and kisses not virtual
We miss family, museums, movies, theatre, travel and sitting down for a meal in restaurants
We are still paused with round one opening on Monday

Being depressed and having Depression are very different

Depression is a disease and should be treated as such
Treatment can vary from talk therapy and sometimes medication
Not all require it ,I did not require it
Seeking a physician shed a lot of light on the dark place I was in

Just talking it out is not the only answer
Writing poetry was the vehicle that saved my life but somebody saw the problem

Easier said than done but difficult to accept that many people think they are higher and mightier than others

The love of a lifetime ideally comes along once
