Seems to change when applicable to one party while the other tries to uphold and follow laws,rules,regulations,and History.
History repeats itself but it doesn't change as it should.
Some seem to rewrite as it helps their cause.
The former President and his gang violate everything and don't play fair
They just want to win though they gave list and refuse to admit it
Lying cheating, manipulating are their areas to excel in
Maybe that us why Depression and Paranoia

Rules can be broken or bent for the good

You want the former and not the latter in your life

Dealing and admitting that your anger has become a disease is the first step
A medical illness
Mine started when I was 14 and ended in my late thirties
Luckily somebody loves me and stands by my side
He told me that I had to move forward and find an answer
You get the correct help and plan on what that is and what it will do.
You become an active participant with your healthcare providers
You will improve if you give it time and actively work on it
It does rear its ugly head from time to time but you are in control
We chose not to do the meds route and found talk therapy
Poetry saved my life and continues to do so
The magic is that the poetry has brought joy and help others
Making Peace with the pain has brought me a gift that keeps giving

Undergraduates searching for a major
Finding friends and lovers like a menu they can’t choose from
Though they delight in looking
Should they sample or taste?
Do they commit is daring passion worth the risk
Sometimes you stare a little longer than you should
Maybe the right song with the wrong car company is on the radio
Long strolls on the beach when you want to be with another
A kiss that should never have happened
An embrace that should have been a quick hug
Only yesterday
When you parted company
Going your own ways
When Alexa plays Stevie Nicks or Fleetwood Mac

Healed and not broken

Fights have to be fought
Get the History correct
The facts straight and right
We are divided but somehow someway
We need to become one country
Healing and discovery necessary
Agree to disagree
Stop judging and start caring
Move forward and stop living in the past

This is the time of year for flashbacks that are dealt with
Which is why we quietly stay on guard
Send the darkness to the light when you can
Be the light for others
Search for that place in your heart that allows you to care and share
Some are still in darkness
Let them in if you can if they are willing
Sometimes listening is the beginning they need
If somebody hurts you let them do what they do.

She was a very good little girl
Chores and school work done
Polite and listened
Respected her elders
Listened to all the Holiday stories
She quietly sat by the window and fell asleep waiting for the reindeer
and Santa
He never came
When school started again it is not what you think
Her teacher and friends asked what Santa brought her
She replied he doesn't come to my house
We have no chimney and no tree
We have a menorah and tops called dreidels
Back then it wasn't thought of
Adam *******'s Chanukah song was a hit for many for this reason
As was Chanukah Harry
Which is why some say Happy Holidays or Season Greetings
They don't know Christmas
They don't know Kwanza
They might not even celebrate Chanukah
Santa didn't arrive because they were not taught to believe in him
I believe in his magic and all that help him

While they are still little and precious

Strange weather for December in the States
Up and down
Those who suffered or lost in Kentucky and elsewhere
Heartfelt wishes and prayers as well as help from a charity or two as they become available
Ida hurt many and that includes those I love
Help others if you can and that includes our furry
friends
Bought a monument instead of spoiling her with gifts
Flashbacks of a Christmas time long have come and gone
It does not get better with time it just is reminder
So no matter if you celebrate Chanukah, Kwanza, or Christmas
If you can't wait for Boxing day

In the Auditorium,quite special for a fifth grader
Until you read it at home  your were told they lied to you
Don’t listen to them
You don’t have to take History classes filled with lies

The story was written after Dr.King was assassinated
What you learn in school and at home are very different
You have to be carefully taught as an old song says
One arm does not know what the other is doing

Criminal act committed upon a child
A female child
The Supreme Court, Texas and Missouri never see three sides of a story.
Shame
Guilt
Mental anguish
So before you condemn women from having abortions
Before Roe vs Wade might change forever
Remember that even if they don't conceive and have a child created by terror and criminal ignorance
They were all once little girls that had their childhood ripped from them
They are members of the Walking wounded
Damaged in ways past pregnancy

Darkness was my only friend
My friends had no idea and maybe a clue
Even Happily married because had to find my way back to him
He has been there every step of the way
Patience and help brought me through the storms
They still return but not as often
Walk them and write them away
Find ways to help others even though they might not be aware that I care
You will find it
No matter what it is to soothe things
Asking for help that was the most difficult part
Admitting something was more than off kilter
Even though I have been there
Just know it is different for everybody
2020 didn't help and it lingers

The sky is usually inviting even though the telescope still isn't on my deck, yet.
Not tonight.
Crying and writing don't usually go together but this time they do.
Photographs and memories will have to do but was hoping for more time spent with you.
One of the stars in my life who shone brightly has dimmed.
How lucky to have known you and played a part in your life.
More importantly we called each other friend.
So when I am able. looking for a shooting star or a falling star hoping you know what you meant and will always mean to me and many others.

Do the trees sigh?
Does the wind cry?
Do they gather to remember the loved one or friend and say Goodbye?
Was it a fire caused by a careless human, an architect, was it sick
and Mother Nature called it home or to let go?
What happened to the tree when it was young ,strong, and tall long ago?
How many creatures scurried across its arms to play or hide food?
Find shelter?
Was it Maple, an Oak, a Redwood?
Maybe a Ponderosa Pine?
Did maple sap run from it or apples grow for all to see?
Does a tree make a sound when it falls in the forest?
Did an eagle rest on its branches and then take flight?
Next time, we'll have to get to know a tree better and perhaps
we'll do more than ask questions about out Dear Departed friend,tonight.

Depression is a medical issue
It requires patience and professional help
Not medication BUT SOMETIMES IN TANDEM WITH OTHER THINGS
Sometimes ADMITTING THE ISSUE STARTS THE BALL ROLLING
Your inner child will need to speak with you
Take care of yourself and seek the help you need
Asking those who have been there is not the solution to your situation
It is only a guide
With help you will find
Hopefully yourself as well
