Ceridian waves consume my soul, my being
Take a hold on my body that cant be released.
The feeling tightening as I fight back.
The pressure is building up inside me
Forcing an explosion,
A bomb on my heart
Ticking away as I struggle.
Counting down till final blow.
Its inevitable
Yet I fight back,
Fight for survival.
Fight for life.
Fight for my heart.
I will always fight back.

We are all superheroes.
Each of us with a tragic back story
Specific sets of attributes
Some of us fly
Some of us read minds
And maybe some of us-
Are stronger than others,
We all have potential.
I believe the only difference
Between us all is-

Fight to stay awake and read
Fight to always give your all
Fight back every time you fall

Fight from looking in too deep
Fight depressions need for sleep
Fight for children in foster homes
Fight the fear you’ll die alone

Fight as if today’s your last
Fight to persevere your past
Fight to see your grandkids birth
Fight to the death for mother Earth

Fight back tears and wear a smile
Fight the urgency and stay awhile
Fight for fun or relieving stress
Fight for whatever you think is best

Fight because they struck you first
Fighting your best friends the worst

Fight belifs that you'll fail at it

today i couldn;t hold it in any longer
i said my piece
it didn't go well
Now I'm facing the
Chill i knew would arrive
like ice on fire
Frozen Lump in throat
Peering over the abyss
Shattering All illusion of
Peace
Or security
Or civility
Like A dam giving way
But instead of
bursting forth
this water is jagged ice.
For now,
Suspended in descent
we are
in
Deep
Freeze

After a god awful fight.. With no possibility of escape

Looking down the iron sights I see an object fall
"Tango down" I call over the radio
what was his name? Tango, Threat, Terrorist, doesn't matter.
Explosion
Mud brick wall vaporized into dust
Keep going
Out of breathe
Keep going

Does it have kids? A Family? Threat eliminated
Round the corner

"Three tangos on west building roof top"
Bullets from my brothers **** by my helmet
Return fire
"Take Cover!"
Sweat drenched face fogs up my goggles
Explosion
Brick pieces pummel my back
Ears ringing, faintly hearing
"Alpha down, Medic!"
Blurred vision, equilibrium thrown off
Raise my rifle

Silhouette falls
"Medic!" heard faintly

"Are you okay?" sounds distant

"babe?" getting louder

Wake up
Sheets heavy with sweat

Throwing the blankets I jump back to the edge of the bed

I've seen before

Same look, no tangos
No threats
Just Ghosts
