  Dec 2020 Flatfielder
Erik Dobecky
12
It’s your silence.
There was a time that I hated you for it.
Just say anything, I would say.
I can’t, you didn’t say.

Now I just wish I could hear you be silent,
one more time.
From the collection entitled, "Blood".
Flatfielder Dec 2020
Left and erased
A connection just dropped
By technical action
Didn't overpower that want
Still widened the distance
This one way street
Will there be a sign of living
Coming down against the beat
of souls' connections never ending
Let them be lost
but never gone

Lost connection
Flatfielder Dec 2020
Dance in the snow
Slide down that hill
Go where you are meant to be
Dream your way
Intermittently sore
Find the alley
Find the door
Enter silently
Fear no more
In your dream you are home
You fall asleep
Awaken gently
All is left is dreaming on

Dream on
Flatfielder Dec 2020
A thousand miles you travelled
To cross the desert sand
to empty mind and spirit
You enter now the fertile land
Will you stay
Or move on walking
Refreshed and nourished satisfied
You could find solace
Settle down
Forgetting Angst and fences
But you do still think about
Your ever present hitches

On the go
Flatfielder Dec 2020
Walls surround me
I think I am trapped
Pressure is building
Where is my map
Misplaced with other things
Too focused I have been
On unimportant matters
Will I find the escape
To once more try again
But time is running short
Options No
Have arrived at the stormy cape
(c)near_lane7
It's a dark and cloudy day
Flatfielder Dec 2020
Democracies yield
To capitalistic excesses
Then destructed by revolutions
Which end in chaos

Doomsday thoughts
Flatfielder Dec 2020
No one speaks
Wars are no more
Holding hands in silence
From shore to shore
Acceptance creates freedom
How to get there
Never follow
Be yourself
Empty the square
