Prayers is talking to Allah,
After prayers you can beseech for anything you want or need,
I asked for a Ferrari,
He gave me a second hand Peugeot,
And made me a car mechanic.
I asked for a beautiful model like wife,
He gave me a wife with a beautiful soul plus a good cook,
Who made my house into a home.
Now I appreciate the beauties on T.V. with my wife.

Allah created the universe,
He created heaven and earth,
Exotic, beautiful Shangri-la,
It was not enough,
So he created Adam,
He roamed the garden of Eden,
Obedient  dutiful and boring.
Allah thought and thought,
He wanted someone to bring life to his creation,
To stir up excitement,
Bring about laughter, pain, sorrow and joy.
So with patience and love,
He created Eve,
Gave her extra tears and beguiling ways,
Made her the ***** of recreation.
What did she do?
She made Adam eat the forbidden apple,
Off to earth they were sent to repent,
Allah's creation has made life exhilarating on earth,
But till today men give in to tears,
And can't have their ways with women.

I am a ripe mellowed fruit,
Almost ready to be picked,
And back to the soil.
Money to me is secondary,
My wants are now few,
Only my needs,
A little for charity, people in need
And for my family on festivals.
I have no expectations,
Even from my children,
Cause having seen many seasons,
I know expectations lead to bitterness.
I have stopped arguing,
I just nod to everything,
Then to do or not to do I leave the decision on myself,
Though sometimes they call me stubborn,
I smile, greet and compliment everyone I meet,
From a toddler to a villain,
After all a smile costs nothing,
In return most return the greetings,
Indulging and pampering an old lady.
I have stopped worrying and stressing about other people's responsibilities
My shoulders are too weak to carry them,
Everyone onto his own,
No frustrations, only sublime peace.
Lastly I don't haggle with vendors over prices,
Give big tips to waiters and delivery boys,
A smile on their tired faces makes my day.
Now, I enjoy several cups of tea reading a newspaper or talking with friends,
Dozing while watching T.V,
Or having fun time with my grand children,
I have learned to retire from the fast track life.

I hate being alone,
Cause it's always my turn to do
the dishes, and the  cleaning.

Wife has control over him,

And he is now wife's man,
No way to escape,
Unless a divorce with a price to pay.

After four children mum said I the last child was amazing,
I cried all night,
Broke into a sweetest smile,
Held their fingers and fell asleep.
I pooped and peed the most,
My nose was always running.
I was the most annoying and irritating  child,
Everybody refused to baby sit for me.
At seven months I started walking,
At eight months I had front teeth.
I could draw,sing and write at two,
But,I could never decide what I wanted to do.

Looked at myself for long,
Whilst two pair of eyes sat on the bed and looked at me lovingly,
I turned this way and that way,
Am I beautiful I mumbled,
Are my eyes big,
Are my lips thin,
Have I a captivating smile,,
I looked at my physique,
Seems okay.
Then I felt two pairs of arms around my waist,
Mum we love you,
You are you,
Unique,
You are beautiful from deep within.
That is your worth.

The wind whistled through the trees,
An ominous warning on her lips,
The skies were ripped apart by lightning,
The dark clouds thundered calling out my child's name,
Raindrops pelted on the window pane,
Threatening to break it.
I sat huddled in a chair,
Praying for a miracle.
My child lay on his bed barely breathing with no hope,
The doctor had left,
Now it was in the hands of Allah.
Suddenly everything seemed still,
Nature had quietened,
The candle stopped flickering.
I saw a large,dark silhouette  leaving the doorway,
It was saying,"My mistake, your child has long to live."
My son woke up with a smile,
"Mum,I was with the Angels,
It was beautiful there,
But they brought me back,
I was needed here to be with you."
I jumped up and hugged him tightly, tears streaming down my eyes,
What a miracle,
Allah had listened to my prayers.

Prom night,
Fun, too much to drink,
Lust,
A quickie in the car,
I got stuck.
Both young,
Barely out of school,
Long way to go,
I, a mistake.
Tears and frustrations,
Family discussions,
Keep  or abort,
Final decision,
I, out.
What about me?
They never asked,
I could have been cute as a fawn,
Bright as a new dawn,
I would have loved the world,
Many stories I  had heard.
Now, I will be gone,
Not to be born,
Before it's too late.

My mind has wandered away,
I don't know where I have kept it,
The doctors,friends and family are helping me to find it.
Please help!

An Apple a day keeps the doctor away,
Poor doctor's wife,
The choice is hers,
The doctor or the Apple.

The world still debates how I came,
But I  came with a mission,
WHO declared me as pandemic,
Cause I spread like fire across the globe.
Infecting and sometimes killing those that crossed my path.
There is no vaccine for me as yet,
So I am safe to do my work.
I came to revive humanity,
Look at all the unsung heroes,
Leaving their families and dear ones,
To save lives.
I came to cleanse the earth,
The only way was to make them stay at home,
To reduce carbon pollution.
I separated them from other people,
To listen deeply,
To pray more,
To think other ways and for others.
I stopped mass gatherings,
Closed cinemas, pubs and restaurants,
So they could spend time together as family,
To read more,play games, exercise, and cook,
And gradually to heal.
I have come and I will stay,
Until you learn to change your way of life.

When I was pregnant,
With my first child,
I boarded a bus to go shopping,
The bus was full.
A kind gentleman offered me his seat,
Which was under and advertisement  which read
"RUBBER GOODS WOULD HAVE PREVENTED THIS ACCIDENT ",
People around me chuckled,
It was an embarrassing moment,
But seeing the funny side I too smiled.
