saturday morning
maple syrup on pancakes
heartwarming embraces

out of africa
awoke a great species once
still 99% but chimpanzee

little planet blue
one tribe one world one fortune
we are in heaven

a century oak
standing for a hundred years

This is hardly a gift
It's linguistic aesthetics

Humble are the poets
Who write with such skill
For they foster heroics
And cry with ther quills

we set out
expeditiously
climbing quizzical
stony faces
grasping
slithering
clambering
to the top
we lay down
spent
you have breathed
sweet life again
past parched
unloved lips
into an empty soul
craving
simply
to be quenched

songs of endearment
enticed us here
deep blue sanctuary
not man's "frontier"
the seas grow silent
of sacred sounds
"humanity" bereft
of life we have drowned
