how a kind

or a simple
smile

enough
to get me

it's
true the best

in life are

The answer is
always, of course,
yes,
and it breaks
my heart how

it took me

I paid my first bill today,
and I'm proud to say,
"I'm on my way."
As a child, I lived
on my parent's terms,
but not anymore.
I got a place and
a steady job,
all on my own.

I used to dream
of being free
from where I
grew-up, but
now that I'm gone
my dream is real.
I won't stop being
my own man 'cause
"I'm on my way."

that's the thing
about friends
just when you think
you're too far gone
they extend
a helping hand
and save you
from yourself.

what friends
do.

I once asked my Mom,
"Do you think I'm
going to Heaven?"
and she replied,
"If anyone is

Mother's intuition,
but she's never
wrong.

I thought
spirituality
was about
knowing
all the
answers,
now I
realize
it's about
asking
the right
questions.
