Sitting alone in the
bookshop
while the outside rain
falls
being the only customer
in
the store as the
sound
of downpour soothes me
while
reading a good book
amounts
to the perfect dreary
day.

I've had
such
an ill
temper
in the
past
that's what
people
expect of
me;

from now
on
I want
to
be a
gentleman.

in your house, and
remember
that when you were
ill
I cared enough to
draw
something to cheer you
on!

I wear the
blister
that’s on my
finger
like I was
rewarded
a badge of
honor;

it’s my proof
that
I’m a hard
worker.

of my worries to
sleep
and awoke feeling fully
calm.

She was teasing
me
because of the
way
that I dress
outside
and she hit
one
of my sore
spots;

still hurts to
touch.

My two
dogs
get so
excited
every time
we
go through
the
dairy queen
drive-thru
because they
always
receive icecream
Sundays;

who knew
canines
like frozen
treats?
