the way you pressed in closer.

when your eyelids heavied.
while your hand brushed my breast.

we layed as one.
the world fell silent.

Her heart was
A quill that wrote
The universe into
Galaxy-painted,
Star-studded wonder.

Her mind was the
Blank canvas that
The heaven's drained of
Black and washed
In white.


She was poetry
In essence,
A poem in the
Faded landscape
Of life.

dripping in your love
i find myself licking each finger
and savoring the sweetness.

your approval tastes like chamomile,
blackberries, and melted icecream.
the taste of you is even sweeter.

to be here
drenched in your affection
is the most saccharine dream
i could ever hope to imagine.

you're killing me,
drawing me in.
petting my hair and rubbing the back of my neck
the peachy fuzz standing up with the light brushing of your hands
you keep my icy hands warm,
you melt me
and you make sure blood drips into the right places
and you whisper sweet things into my ears with your milky voice.
you dip me into syrup and lay me on the bench outside
you watch the flies lick the sweetness off of me
you let them get carried away
you watch them nibble at my sugary skin
you watch the bites ooze with blood
like i'm a maple tree being tapped
i'm stuck to this bench that you left me on
left feeling the sharp lips kissing and biting my flesh
and you just get up and leave.

sing me to sleep with gem colored eyes,
your soft lullabies hushing my cries.

the gentle white feathers of a snow colored dove,
are as your arms wrapped around me with love.

i feel you with the morning sun,
together we can be as one.

you smell of spice and rosemary,
a smell i can't shake off.
it fills my lungs with exposure of you,
and releases words i can't get out.

what a culprit you are,
coming and stealing my heart,
i needed that you fool,
i was going to give it to you.

give me back the days
when you’d press me like a flower
against the wall
and whisper little nothings
so cinnabon sweet
they’d swirl around
my head all day.
when we’d walk
spring streets coated
in magnolia leaves
you, mr. chivalry
curbside, protecting
every milky bone in
my body.
i crave
one more afternoon
tangled in sheets
with you,
fingers tracing
places i want
discovered by you
only.
another beeswax flavored
kiss, to get me through
the solstice
not yet gone,
already missing you.

Sweet nectar trickles down my chin,
The knife slips in sticky hands,
A nibble here, a lick there,
Sparks memory,
Of golden deliciousness of summers past,
scoldings from Mum for unrepentant gluttony,
Tangy sour smells of unripe fruit,
Swings swaying under the Mango tree
And a childhood happy as can be
