Its very weird…

I looked into their faces
the ones who truly broke me.
No enemies among them.

Just Brutus,
in many forms,
smiling.
Familiar hands,
and mouths,
that once said

I never would.

as they held the knife
like a gift.
This piece reflects on the dissonance between pain and intent - how the deepest betrayals often come not from enemies, but from those closest to us. The reference to Brutus evokes the timeless sting of betrayal by someone trusted, echoing Caesar’s famous last breath: “Et tu, Brute?”

"If you truly love them, let them go"
But what about me?
I did the right thing
Yet here I am, hurting and crying
Wondering when it will stop
They say that time heals all wounds
But so much time has passed
And the wounds are still there
I did the right thing
But I am punished for it
I let them go so they can be happy
But they left the pain with me

Sadness always takes
By surprise.
Enveloping with its
Heavy, languid
breath.

Bitter wine pours
Through the exhausted body.
Leaving scarlet traces
From its sharp needles.

Sharing your pain is the cure for a great deal of pain
Scars that turn into melodies; wounds into stories
Gaping holes into beautiful forests, and broken hands
Into hearts that cradle your soul

Sharing your pain and watching others perceive it
Is the balm to a lot of misery, a promise that
No matter what, you’re not alone
And there are people wandering those forests with you
Holding your heart in their careful hands

Without knowing what love was,
I gave you my heart.

Without knowing what love was,
I gave you all of me.

Without knowing what love was,
I put up no defenses.

Without knowing what love was,
we let each smile flow.

Without knowing what love was,
we hurt each other,
for not knowing how to love each other.

You envelop me
As if i'm a cup with a knocked off handle
i fit into Your velocity

Some unknown fingers stacked us into the same cabinet
The one used for the fancy kitchenware
The kind they would crack out when they want to impress

So i pray that they're not vapid as that
After all the greatest of virtues is depth
If they open this godforsaken shelf
They'll notice the flaws i carry on myself

Cracked rim and a missing grip
Damage that even self-love couldn't strip
Love is always more potent when coming from another heart
Porcelain is not as supple as a self-sustaining cat
That can lick the lumps of dirt from her wounded back apart

i heard that mangled cups go to waste
But i swear that i will tear through the trashbag and

Crawl back between Your smooth curves
Your fingers on my face trace sharp swerves
The heat radiating from your nail beds
Soothes my vision of all possible reds

And i revel in your medicine
i desperately need to heal
Your ceramic skin is an effective insulator
The blisters i give You only urge your loving to grow greater

You don't seem to care that i don't have a handle to protect You from the scalding bitter tea
That washes up at my rim like the sea
No,You accept the imprint of my hellishly heated wounds onto You

I wonder if you have scars,
To me, they would shine as if stars.
The luminaires without which
the night sky would be melancholic.
You are Imperfectly Perfect;
this might sound a little hyperbolic.

I wonder if you hate those cuts,
The ones that you shrouded with all your gut.
They are not scars, but stories.
Marking on the frame of your soul, a territory.
You are Perfectly Imperfect;
I hope you know what this reflects.

Time heals all wounds,
and leaves the scars.
How else would you know,
that you are a survivor?
If you have ever struggled with scars (could be from anything), then this one id for you. I hope nothing for you but to feel secure in your own body. I want to tell you that the scars don't make you worth any less. The only thing they make you is Unique. So make sure to wear with your head held high. I hope the hard times pass soon and you get better!

Not all wounds.
Turn into scars.

"When someone suffers a physical wound,
we care for them with love and support,
respecting their healing without overstepping.
Why not do the same for the wounds of the soul?"
