I hope you never reach
The day
Where you are lost for words
Because they're tangled up in
Agony.

I hope you never reach
The point
Where your innocence of
The world is
Robbed.

I hope you choose
Your friends and
Lovers wisely
So that you never have to
Discover what it feels like
To see those who you believed
Would take a bullet for you
Dance behind the
Trigger.
I am very fortunate that this has made the daily poems! I am completely new to this site (about a week or two in) and it is truly an honor to have my work recognized. Thank you guys for supporting!

How strange it is to think of how every single person has experienced this day in a multitude of ways;
that not one person has felt exactly the same as anyone else or had an exact experience today, will continue to amaze.
A few, young and old, are taking their last breaths as God takes them away from earth.
Some are bringing into the world more beautiful souls as they spend their day giving birth.
Several have just experienced their very first kiss and are high on love as they dance around their room,
while more are lying in bed, crying silently as their hearts have been broken by the person they thought would one day become their bride or groom.
A number have had the most optimal day of their lives; they’re in a good place and couldn’t be more content,
whereas others have spent their distressing day writing out their suicide notes wondering how best to say goodbye without causing too much torment.
Yes, how strange it is to think of how every single person has experienced this day in a multitude of ways; that not one person has felt exactly the same as anyone else or had an exact experience today, will continue to amaze.

Salvage
                          through my lost words,
and you will find the silenced
                                                        truth...

Oh Daughter of mine hear my plea,
Surpass our challenge through beauty.
Use the mind to be the game's mistress,
Heart be bothered not of any distress.

Acquire grace, charm and wiles to catch,
A certain man of power is truly your match.
If he be made of steel melt it with kiss,
If born out of war then grant him peace.

Gentle as feather strong as diamond,
Bring him to his knees with every summon.
Bestow him joy and fresh breath of life,
And ease his encumbrance and strife.

Receive the gifts of different pleasures,
Which he brings in his cove of treasure.
Swallow your embarrassment and pride,
In this life we must sail with the tide.

Heed not to Aphrodite's words of passion,
Be guarded from the love arrow's invasion.
Color red for victory but grounded by black,
Loneliness is payment yet your smile is intact.
In keeping their head
Above water
The wise draw
A quick lesson
From others' blunder,
While the fool
With a deaf eye
To many a wrong turn
Their life squander!
For the wise failure could be a steppingstone to success

The air feels heavy
My lungs can't take the weight
My sight is getting blurry
It's getting late

I'm lost and a wandering soul
With nowhere else to go
Am I getting old?
Or just waiting for uncertainty to unfold?

Sh...
What's that whisper?
You didn't hear it?
No, only me.
It's just my soul
in the dark.

Wait...
Who's behind?
You don't feel that?
No, only me.
Just the ghost
of my shadow.

But wait...
If it speaks
and it walks,
should I be following
ignorance ahead
or the knowing soul behind?
A brief musing about not losing yourself.

If you catch yourself falling for someone,
                                                                               *run.

Her wise eyes
are oceans of demise
color of the sea
forever trapped
never free

Her wise eyes
have been through so much
love, hate,
countless dates
her wise eyes
bear the softest touch

Her wise eyes
radiant like
a thousand suns
have been through torture
have heard the sounds of guns

Her wise eyes
have seen too much
now she keeps the memories
never to show
never to touch
