I believe these things of Wisdom to be true...
and more things of wisdom I wish I knew....

Some of us believe we are wise and safe enough to be foolish and to be a fool

Then some believe wisdom can be gained through the foolishness as a tool

Some of us believe we are wise enough with what we say and do when it comes to deep love

but in honesty... we are humans... who make many mistakes... and sometimes... are not wise enough...
I so wish I had more wisdom with things... sometimes I feel taken back I'm not sure if anything I say is wise or not... this poem isn't all that good, so it'll probably be deleted

We live in a fallen world, and it's so easy to believe we have great wisdom... but too easily.. we can fall

When wise ones have spoken
then fools steal their words
and spout them in token
phrase ways for the birds

They say things like "do not
count eggs 'ere they hatch"

But one thing I'd add to
that oft-spoken phrase
as something you should do
(an act that well-pays)

it's if you fear dragons

my eyes were open for two years
fear, I couldn't close them, even when it was so clear

what had I just signed up for,
you swore, why are we in a civil war

waiting for you to just ******* crash
but with your stash, you're having a blast

drifting away from reality,
carefree, giving me the third degree, you lost me

control couldn't save you
and neither could I
I knew we just both had to survive
I felt weak, but now I know I was strong
my eyes were tired for being open for so **** long

you didn't just crash, you ******* burned
you burned all of your bridges with no where left to turn
flight or fight, fright, I can't trust you without a ******* knife,
I closed my eyes, finally, and I suddenly gained all sight

I didn't need a reason to help you
but maybe I wanted to close my eyes again
maybe I wanted peace, a close to an end

because for two years,
I couldn't close my eyes
so thank you
now I am wise

She was fascinating.
Not because she was drop dead gorgeous or oh my god beautiful.

No, she had humor she used as a weapon.
No, she had love she used a shield.
No, she had strength hidden behind layers of wisdom.

She was fascinating.
In the way that made men cringe and made women envious.
She was the type of girl you wanted to get to know if only to keep her close by.

"Just shrug it off," "Become a man."
That's what they all tell me,
But they don't understand.

"Do well in school," "Get good grades too."
Easy for them to say,
They never felt my gloom.

The world's full of authority,
And yes you should respect it.
But there's more than obeying,
Problems too, prepare to expect it.

I know their older,
And probably wiser.
But what if they're not,
What if they never lit their fire?
Just some thoughts on high school (not like you asked).

A dragon so red.
Throw me on you'r bed.
Between your *******,
I passed the tests.

Soft lining,
I see you shining.
Dress slipped off,
a fiery cough.

Precious eyes,
they speak so wise.
clawing down,
taking me to Chinatown.

A wise man once told me,
what comes (goes).
That’s all he knows.

A wise woman once told me,
What comes (may stay).
But it might only be for a day.

A wise child once told me.
What comes (Has no meaning).
Because something is intervening.

i laugh
at the naivety of a poem
i wrote when i was 8
that described what love is.
then it struck me
i’m no wiser about love now
than i was then.
