Do you always speak in poetry?
...
Steamy breath swirls in the
Stagnant air, my hair hangs
Dusty smudges itching
Under paper skin
...
No, I breathed
...
Eyes shut, eyes open
The words dance, I hear their
Ethereal whispers, muffled
By masks and heavy cloaks
...
I miss you.
I miss you poetry, it's been a long time since I've actively been writing and something a friend said to me really sparked a flame in me again.

The wind will whisper words
of healing
for those ready to hear it
It does not wish you to remain
stagnant within yourself
So breathe it in
and receive the gift so freely given.

Hopeless and left for dead
Going with what they say
Pretending
Hiding behind the mask
Never to ask...
"Help me."

Words, images,
This madness consuming
The darkness surrounding
Calling to me
Whispering my name
Making nightmares reality
Reminding me of what is to come...

Locked myself in the bathroom
Lying on the floor
Delicately, firmly,
Dragging the needle across my skin
My pain
Reminding me
That I am still alive
Still human...

Lying alone in my room
I cry out
But no sound escapes my lips
Not a sound
Aside from each breath
Each one forced

Closing my eyes
Hearing whispers
Too scared to utter a word
To a soul

Trembling
Back to the wall
Curled in a ball
Tears forced on
Pain throbbing
Thoughts bobbing
In the ocean of my mind.

Whisper to you

The Sweet-Nothings

Of this No-nothing

The point made moot

My whispers with you.
Luna Wrenn Mar 2019
keep whispering
piercing promises
until my ears started to bleed
make me believe
make me believe
you won't ever leave

My heart whispers
in a tune,
which only
you can
understand.

They communicate
Just the brisk whispers
And everything aligns
After their surrender

She asked the questions
He got the answers
And, Vice Versa
Of sublime harmony

The heart is greater than the eyes,
For the heart, amidst all the pain,
Sees through the delicate lenses of beauty!

The heart is superior over the ears,
For the heart, amid all the loud noise,
Listens to the softest whispers of humanity!

The heart is bigger than the nose,
For the heart, among all of the scents,
Smells the fragrance of new life!

The heart is larger than the hands,
For the heart, amongst all that it can do,
Touches in a way that is softer than the dawn’s dew!

The heart is superior to the tongue,
For the heart, with all of its might,
Speaks only the sweet letters of kindness!

The heart is more immense than all of the human senses,
For the heart carries so much love,
It can lighten up the face of the whole universe!

Sweet Yiddish whispers in my black and white slippers
Delving into daydreams of dark and desperate days
Spilling turpentine on tiles tearing me away for miles
Feeling frantic flutters in the back of my brain
Bearing backlot benches bordering the land of Spain
Roses rowing to Roman seas that no one sees
Leering lullabies of lackadaisical lovers, known to never fly
I like the way this one sounds
