If the day comes, where all I can say is, "I do"
I'll silently be praying that I'm standing in front of you.
& if 26 letters fail to provide the words I wish to say,
I hope you realize I will love you, each & everyday.
I'll give you the sun, & the moon, & spoil you with stars.
I'd promise you infinity because time will always be ours.
If the day comes, where all I can say is, "I do",
Please know without my words, that my heart only beats for you.

One day I will get married
And one day I will be the most beautiful bride

One day I will be preparing to say my perfectly executed vows
And one day I will be so in love that I will cry

One day I will wear something borrowed
And one day I will wear something blue

One day I will get married
And on that one day I will somehow still be thinking about you

One day I will be ready to walk down a rose lined aisle
And on that one day I will be praying that you will stand up when the priest asks “Does anyone have a reason these two shall not wed”

And like our bodies,
Carrige-men take their horses over cobbles streets.
The faithful bride backseat,
holds in the waterfall of skin
so sweet and tender to touch.
The formal arrangements made easy work of
by the smile you wore
when the satin dress
kisses your shoulders goodbye.

The priest; your collarbone
holds the feast together
with horrid prayer and worship
which, to you,
are but kisses on bruises
left behind on the lily white wedding veil.

That kiss, us
minds entangled as knots
tied around pleasure in the stomach.
I become part of your body,
and in this,
far beyond married are we two.

The sacrement,
you become me slowly
and all at one.
Bedside table becomes a ceremony
your vows, my name
in hushed tones and prayer.
Sermon.
The rings;
A ring of lipstick on your thigh
there I have shown you
how much
I Love You
one thousand times tonight.
Until that little death do us part.

Look,
The day will come where it takes a mortician
to show you there are worse things
  than your depression
Death or dismemberment
It's not just your falsified insurance claim
The day you fell to your knees and wept
  over the great pacific ocean
In the city of angels you were humbled by its majestic potion
The message in a bottle you never sent
Your laziness allowed the entire ocean to be swept
carelessly away for your lack of devotion
The day you spoke about your loneliness
sitting in an upright-coffin-confession
Adjacent to the man who ***** children
to make himself feel... more... man.
Literally, I meant, he felt those young men.

Did that yet distract your pain?
Remember that day
that day you cried to your doctor
Elaborating about your back and lack of motion
She’d been crying
She was trying to comprehend
hospice for her cancer-ridden husband
Off to die, he was sent
Oh, that's exactly what it meant.

But, oh, that little tiny microscopic pain!
Then there was that day you complained
To your flat-mate about your job being so mundane.
As she spoke of her boss firing her,* post-*****
To avoid the human resource claim
You were hell-bent over your issue…
As she went insane.

Remember the day you went "insane" to your best friend
About your second wedding being destroyed by the rain
Your bestie was a man who had never felt the embrace
      of love
           affection
                 or pain
The ability to cherish
The passion and pain of a woman,
      he had paralyzed legs,
no woman had ever loved him
Because he could never provide ***.
And YES you booooooo-hoo-ed
Over all your costume-esque dresses getting wet
Whats next?
You complain about the rain...
  A magical natural scene
But LOOK,
You've never once tried
to see that persons suffering.
Selfish people. Self absorbed and thoughtless.

In the old grand Cathedral
Down by the City Hall
Across the buzzing lively street
The place where we'd meet

Birds chirping signifying the new day...
My new dawn with you
Until the break of dawn...

Then balloons, --big white balloons across the sky...
A magnificent view
In the shimmering glistening sun,
the cooling breezy wind,
The crisp autumn air...
Laughters and cheer,
--those wedding bells!
Do you hear those beautiful tower bells?...
My billowing gown...
And doves, --doves flapping their wings...! Up and beyond,
gazing to the future...

...

I wish we're getting married today...

...

But we're not,...
You left me months ago...
and now my mind draws blank,
for another one to fill,
an empty space where your arm used to link mine,
as how we should've walk...
... the aisle, ...
under the stares of our beloved...

And you're not coming back, I know...
Stilll I wish, I wish, that were getting married today...

It's not the promise you break,
but it's my heart and soul you do break...

The Flower – A Tribute ©

Thank you flower for the wonderful bouquet you present to me

Thank you flower for your fragrance
That fills the air and makes me smile

Thank you flower for allowing me touch your silkiness
And to feel beauty

Thank you flower for blessing me with your array of colors

Thank you flower being there...

On my Birthday and to count the years

On Mother’s Day to thank Mom for being Mom

On Father’s Day to be with Dad

On Valentine’s Day to let my sweetheart know I love her

On my wedding day to celebrate my relationship

To celebrate my child’s birth

At so many special occasions

Even when there wasn’t a good reason

And one last thank you,
Thank you for being there when I pass on

I know you will brighten the room
Even if it is a sad moment for those left behind

Thank you flower for making me feel better
Knowing that you will be there

Ignore the lyrics:
You can't pursue love.
You don't find love.
Love's not a thing to be kept or had;
it's a doing word that you both have to work at.
Love is a language expressed in deeds
and so clear expression of your love best succeeds when you both discover what the other most dearly needs.
So spend time planting daily deeds of love, every one a fragile seed.

Continue to listen day and night
and learn what each other prefers and what you both like.
And then, when you get it right
you'll be answered by a unmistakable light in their wide glistening eyes.
-
Do it on a date.
Do it with your mates.
Do it when you're tired and it's heavy eyed late.
Do it in the everyday mundane way
you pair your own socks
and clear away last night's takeaway.
-
Laugh often and have fun
especially when you feel life has you on the run
and be sure to surprise each other both regularly and often
Maybe even invest
in a pair of water guns.
-
Share the fragile thoughts
you find at the forefront of your mind.
Reveal your vulnerability, the hurt you feel when life's been unkind.
-
And in response to that revealed insecurity, ensure you tread carefully  until you see the healing that comes from interlacing lovingly.
-
Speak your love every day.
Articulate it come what may.
And that way you'll ensure that it stays
at the forefront of each of your todays,
on the tip of your tongues
so when you inevitably take a step wrong
you'll both recall why you're together
and why it's worth the endeavour that it takes to push through that unexpected foul weather.
Love one another through that gale
and sail on to meet the adventure
that's yours to discover:
Through the miles of your wherevers,
for the duration of your whenevers,
strong enough for your whatevers,
standing together,
forever relentlessly loving each other.
-
So may the Lord of your tomorrows bless you together.
May the Lord keep you smiling whatever.
May his face shine on you in all kinds of weather.
And may He give you peace
that will never cease to give you pause to thank Him for his grace
forever.
-
And all the assembled people said
AMEN.
Rather than offer my own advice to my son and his bride on their wedding day, I asked various couples who have a few years of marriage behind them to offer their thoughts on the ingredients of a successful marriage.
And I then sought to weave them together.
So this poem is the fruit of around 250 years of marriage.
The bride stood before her groom and a group of vile wedding guests covered in darkness wearing a veil of evil waiting to be joined in unholy matrimony.  The heat and hate that filled the air was so thick that they all choked on it.  Lust the biggest **** ever getting married to Greed had every one baffled and amazed.  Everyone watched with confusion as a union of sin was joined in unholy matrimony.
Pride the priest took the left hand of Lust and puts it in the left hand of Greed then he took the right hand of Greed and puts it in the right hand of Lust and began the ceremony.  The words that flowed from the mouth of Pride the priest cut through the air like swords cutting through flesh.
"Disgustingly wicked we have come together in the presences of demonic forces to behold the joining of this devil and **** in unholy matrimony.  This band and covenant of marriage was established by evil in darkness.  Lust will you have Greed to be your husband to live together in the covenant of marriage?  Will you obey him, lay with him, and fulfill his ****** desires as long as you both shall live?"
With the flames of hell burning in her eyes Lust answers "I will."
Pride looked at Greed and said
"Greed will you have Lust to be your wife to live together in the covenant of marriage?  Will you supply and adorn her with riches as long as you both shall live?"
With a twinkle in his eyes that sparkles like gold Greed answers "I will."
"By the powers invested in evil the groom and bride may kiss" said Pride.
As Greed and Lusts's lips touched their wedding guests were as silent as a corpse.  Lust turned her back to her wedding guests and threw a bouquet of Poison Ivy over her head.  Envy stepped in front of Sloth and snatched the bouquet of Poison Ivy out the air.
"Nice catch Envy" said Sloth with slow, slurred, speech.
"Thank you Sloth and I do believe green is more my color" said Envy.
Lust turned around to see who caught the bouquet.  She wasn't a bit surprised to see Envy holding the bouquet of Poison Ivy.
"Well Envy I guess you're next to get married" stated Lust.
Pride motions for Hatred to release the Owls.  Hatred unlocked the huge cage and released the Olws.  Slow to take flight the great Owls flapped their wings and ascended into the darkness.
"Let's get this party started" yelled Greed.
As the sins partied the night away in the country Darkness the sun came rising in the country Tranquility.

"Are you ready to spend all eternity together?" Loyalty asked Love as they stood on their balcony.

"My dear, dear, husband soon to be you already know the answer to the question you ask" said Love.

As Loyalty and Love stood locked in a warming embrace being kissed by the rays of sun the two share a kiss of their own.

Written by Keith Edward Baucum
Down the aisle she came
an image of bliss,
dressed in purple and white
elegance, wrapped in a kiss.

The flow of her hair
the petals under her feet,
the roses and lavender
all simple and sweet.

Such a lovely vison
this lady in white,
and the man by her side,
enchanted by her light.

The music played lightly
as the vows were read,
all listened passionately
to every word being said.

The kiss so sensual
with a magical air,
showing all who witnessed
the love they share.

And then they danced
a dance all their own,
looking deep into the eyes
of their forever home.

Written for my son and daughter in-laws wedding
Brandon Cotter Sep 2017
The day is finally here
Bouquets and bow ties
Subtle chatter fills the gardens
out my window
Along with the sweet smell of cheesecakes
Sifting down the halls of the Ahwahnee
My dearest
I fail to hold your overflowing heart
Spilling starboard of these shaking seas
The bow holds stern
Along course amongst the laughter
And tears of those we send away
Spring clouds pirouette with the sun
Illuminating numerous fawn
With their gallant temperament

I love you

Glistening grass embodies the beauty
And nature of these woods
Towering mountains protect the chaos
Within our souls
Fresh dew glides the scape
Promising of new life to come

I love you so dearly

Stiffened suits mask soft bodies
As we make our way to the grand hall
Echoing excitement boasts beyond the trees
Yet as you enter
My heart is all that is heard
A single kiss to carve our names into Destiny
As one with many
We will prevail all fears
And conquer these mountains
that keep us safe
Together forever seems too simple
With your blanket of love to keep me warm
The illuminating moon
shines upon your cheek so brightly
As if a star pours from your beauty
A bond born on a day of curse
Just as we planned
To tempt those who challenge our love
May we go into this unknown
With hands clasped
And awake as one
This is about my planned wedding day. Although it will no longer happen. I still dream of it. Seeing her there with me gives me a feeling I can't describe.
