Your blanket of hair
Beneath a sunflower sky
We’re dancing away
From dangers unseen
Huddled in a shadow
And stolen in a silence
These someday birds
Will wait for us
To rebuild our wax made wings
And try to kiss the sun

Tell me that I’ll pull through,
Or I’m a little bit feel down.
For you it’s just a trifle,
And for me it’ll give a strength crown.

I'll know there's someone believes in me
I'll just hear, that he's somewhere.
Even it’s not true, doesn’t matter.
Tell lies! I really don’t care!

Tell me that I’ll overcome,
That my spirit is really strong.
But don’t pry into my soul.
It’s sealed up with black wax for long.

It shouldn’t be touched soever,
It’s only the time for its rest.
Tell me that I’ll pull through.
Tell me something! I want to be confessed!
Thank you very much for reading this poem! 🙏💖

All night long
I peel off layers of me
thinking up poetry
with my fingers and lips

the little moon melts
and melts
purer than fire

in the morning, I am wax again

Candles flicker
with begged forgiveness,

each tender wick
a glowing reminder,

each drop of wax
a tear sliding down
the father’s cheek.

Having lit them all,
I wait for him to come.

oh moon, hanging high
glowing majestic, night sky
wax and wane, firefly
another moon haiku :)

Oh moon up above
The night is your dominion
Waxing and waning
Gustavo P May 2020
I could tell it was over
When the tears dried up

The fire snuffed out
Breathless
Cold

Your scent still lingers
Yet I wish for fresh air

Until it's time for my fire to flicker again
Every time, a little less wax

Every time, a little less of you.

I've always had really bad wax
Still do
I use q-tips
to pull out bits and pieces
and I can hear the world

I was used for heat
Candle lit for awhile
Snuffed out with a pinch
You made me melt but I barely warmed your fingertips
