The blistering cold freezes the ground we stand upon,
the mud we protect with our lives,
as we stand beside the front line as the monotone winds
pierce soulless faces like knives,
behind the mask, we soldiers are crying,
we fight with our lives because inside we're dying.
The death of myself shan't cause effect, nor stir,
come back a husk of the man you once were,
the slaughter of one is a tragedy, as Stalin said;
but the massacre of millions is just a few more dead.

We spend our last dying moments in a filthy hole,
knowing our efforts had no meaning,
maybe death isn't the absence of life but saying goodbye,
aware of the waste of the bleeding, and screaming,
the bullets that hit us, lose our blood,
but the bullets we send lose our minds,
we sacrifice our forgotten pride for the humility of the state,
the motive long left behind.
You shan't die from the pierce of lead,
for you die the moment you start fighting,
you bleed out and merely become a statistic,
counted with the costs and explosives ignited.
Do we Die the moment we start fighting?

Underinterrupted silence,
none to gather at the gates.
Sell your warey wagon's axle,
feed, the castle masticates.

Oh the joyous altercation,
angled, dangling neatly down.
Hold your elder father's picture
underneath your writing gown.

Words defy the lonesome meeting
of the dogs in golden chains.
Herds arise of loathsome chieftains.
Battlecries as arrows rain.

Open book of monstrous brethren,
teach them how your pages turn.
Loving violence, kindred-hateful;
gutted, for a beat you yearn.
Round one, fight

Time is many things we hold a moment and we watch the ball celebration or see all the killings we live in warfare no one, unfortunately, cares let us be the change and rearrange our hearts leave them close to our family and loved ones
Amanda Kay Burke May 2018
Cannons exploding, vicious, destructive,
Gunsmoke clouds adoring sight,
Sweet smell of blood, metallic,
In the air tonight.

My heart pounds wild and free,
Love is blind, still so real,
Underneath the battle front,
Lies what I really feel.

Bullets fly, triggers ready,
I am aiming straight for you,
In my heart I'm hoping,
You are aiming for me too.
This was inspired by the song Heartbreak Warfare by John Mayer

Once again her ashen crust cleaves , for its once aught to be sought.
In thou curiosity, heft the crude mud, brief a dawn to
the gravity of an intricate craft,
Where thee defy and 'tis a waking howl
Where a flock betrays its trace, flees behind a fowl.
Fowl, shaped upon by the call,
Leads to a world of faux strays,
Where the bodies sway under the moon
But sleeps upon the day.
Nocturnal breaths intertwine around,
Welcoming them into a warm embrace:
Where it is born 'dreamily' to eternally haze.
In no time, the march creates a howl too
That obeys the dance of calamity,
But her refusal hides under a tongue
For it is a refuge, kept under the safety.
After all, it's matriarchy, crumbling a feet of the tantrum,
The wind guffaws, sways to the luminous olive trees;
Where a nest of refugees crawl upon,
Chirping freely to the motion of adversary,
to a moment of cleft.
Thus, it's the mother nature that heaves above all
As if blowing a floral and once again, livid breath.
In its deed, she incessantly cries fugues,
As if a virtuoso morphed upon the death.
Upon lulling the sweet mortality into clay,
Then it strolls around, surreptitiously, the plenitudes of ****** heft,
then heading hither a flaw;
When the day and night sleeps, until the rituals nudges, an absolute,
No sense.

Bow to the flags that wave in the wind
Swear your souls to the country that never dies
Morality is a curse; that present we've sinned
Destruction of the flower that ever so tries

Stand up before the trumpets that beckon your name
May we look before the land that shows a desolate fate
The ultimate replacement of joy is fame
So forget your body at the field; it's already too late

Let this be our anthem against the enemies of good
And do not feel sorry for a little bloodshed
You'd rather be living than with the dead
Replicating peace is something nobody ever could.

Are you ready for a revolution
Where the dogs howl at the moon?
You say you couldn’t be bothered
But you know that it’s coming soon
And even knowing how the ways
Continue down the sands of time
Forget the common history
Grab the ladder, hurry and climb

Are you ready for a revolution
Where men become fated with God?
You think that there is no Krishna
But we’ve all seen your fake facade
Watch cities explode with fire
And the best advice that I give
Is avoid the mobs of chaos
So that a longer time you’ll live

Are you ready for a revolution
In which all governments collide?
I’d hate to bare such witness, but
You know what the truth is inside
Create a new world of order
So that peace should rule the planet
Just promise that after the war
You’ll be sure to see my casket

Are you ready for a revolution
To synthesize a morning star?
I wouldn’t have known it better
But I will see it from afar
So burn down all the swastikas
With all the hammers and sickles
And forge a brand new paradise
Just make sure you’ve kept your nickels
