Watching car grills shimmering in the Southeastern sun
Listening to music with my mind on pause.
Jumping out of cars and walking home on my own
I see a tall blonde woman and a short black man walking home
She's holding her shoes, he's stumbling.
And I'm home before I know it, peeling my velvet jacket off, taking a long shower...
I listen to the music again,
Because it's always there.

I took a few steps back, walking away from them all
I thought I'd be on my own as I walked to the dining hall
But then behind me, I heard loud foot steps in the snow
It was then I knew, I wasn't going to be walking alone...
Thanks for the Company <3

This happened at Skyview, in the year 2018. It took me an ENTIRE YEAR to post it because I was so scared to show it XD. Plus I wanted to be careful so.... YAY FINALLY HAD THE HEART TO POST IT!!!!!!

Life can be tough, when it feels like you're walking your path alone.
The problems of your past can make it hard to let anyone in.
It maybe okay to be a lone wolf sometimes, but does it make you happy?
No one to talk to, to make you smile or to make you laugh can make this world a lonely place to live.
Are you lonely by choice or are you scared to let yourself feel vulnerable?
Is it better to have the emotional capacity of a robot or to be an open book?
Some people say you're born alone and die alone, but who says you have to live alone?
Who do you create memories with?
You are unique and your perfect match is out there.

The sky was bright blue
The clouds were white
The sun was shining gold
But not a bit of warmth came from the sun it was still bitterly cold

You dressed in a winter coat, a scarf around your throat, gloves upon your hands
Still the wind came blowing and chilled your bones, your face and ears and even your toes

Walking brisk and quickly the sun began to get stronger and you began to warm
Soon your removing your scarf and gloves as the wind drops and the sun shines and you begin to glow

It's a beautiful day, a classic winter day with the
Sky bright blue
The clouds bright white
The sun shining gold
And now you've warmed up the wind has dropped and your headed for home
Inspired by my walk today,  it really was beautiful out but freezing at the same time

walking through the city streets
alone,
the sky dark
yet the world aglow
with street lights
and stars alike.
the air is cold
yet warm with presence,
for despite being alone,
there are people all around you.

The air is cold today,
but i'm safe in this jacket.
The steets are empty,
But I can still hear the racket.
The cars and the life,
The things I cant see.
I can hear the commuters,
but they can't hear me.

Like a ghost in public,
almost invisible.
The feeling it gives me
is so inexplicable.
I'm almost happy,
That I'm left in peace.
But it starts to  become eerie,
these empty streets.

I begin to wonder,
'Is anyone there?'.
I'm starting to feel,
that I'm in someones glare.
Should I look back?
or is it just me?
If anyone's there,
do I really want to see?

I hear the footsteps,
The feeling of fear.
Someone's really there
and there getting near.
Is it all in my mind?
Surely they're just walking.
Are the following me?
Or is it my brain talking?
Just the vibes of walking at night.

We only live once,
the question is are we living
          or sleeping through
                           the wonderment of life..

Never run through life walk it slowly..
                    Don't sleep through it,
open your eyes and look at what you can see
                                     when you look closely..

                     You'll see more
and enjoy the walk
because we can only walk a path so long...

I proclaim
to an unnamed
friend
that I’m so tired
of walking,
but even though
I complain
about the pain
of my tender feet
it is in these
small journeys,
of an hour or more,
in which I explore
my thoughts
and soft surroundings,
that reinvigorates me
poetically.
